I think my biggest issues (outside of the matchmaking algorithm) are… 1: The fact you can get killed by other players as you’re still loading into the map when you join a match mid game 2: Constantly being backfilled into a match where it’s already a complete blowout and my team is getting destroyed by the enemy team
I think desync/netcode issues and the recon perk are way more bothersome issues than these, although I agree that everything here needs to be addressed.
that can be annoying in Hardcore as so many teamkills due to that both by me or my team shooting an enemy. Never killed them back in retaliation as in 9/10 cases it's an accident. On Pit it's usually the worst but i see it happen a lot on Nuketown as well.
Totally agreed. Like we have COD for many years, but the moshing problem never gets addressed. We should be moving through teammates just fine without them or us blocking/pushing each other. It drives me insane on Babylon having instances where I died cause of being pushed.
I hate the fact teammates’ collision models are huge, you bump into them like a pinball; yet enemies somehow completely lack any collision and can just slide between your legs to shoot you in the back. Like heck, I’m trying to block off a hardpoint here, and the enemy team just phase through me.
The maps are mediocre overall, but the biggest problem with them is that basically none of them feel like they were designed with the new movement and hyperfast pace of play in mind. The majority of games feeling like Shipment is not what a lot of us signed up for (though I concede that Shipment/Nuketown 24/7/365 *is* precisely what a lot of other players have wanted). I lamented the fact that we don't have any 16-24+ player modes when this game launched, but now I very much understand why and am hoping for the first time in a long time that we get considerably larger maps post-launch if only to mix things up.
I think that one of the big parts for designing those launch core maps of BO6 is making the maps more interactive, which is different from IW's more realistic take and SHG's more classic take on map design. Many of those launch maps are aiming for a three lane design, however they also aren't purely following the three lane design fundamental. This interactive design asks for player involvements (notably Subsonic's gates and Skyline's secret route) and their maneuverabilities, however it has somewhat neglected the extra lines of sight from the increased amount of jump spots or gaps between lanes in the maps, while the team-based respawn system from the newer engine has ruined some of the map experience with the increased flanking entries in some of the maps (Derelict and Lowtown etc.) as well. I like what Treyarch is experimenting with those interactive elements in the core 6v6 maps, but they still need to coordinate better base map blueprints to go along with those elements.
I can understand why people think there is skill based damage, I just finished a long playing session, and in the same match I can go from slaying people immediately to having to use a entire clip to kill someone.

I can't count how many times I have died around corners almost instantly. The desync is nuts. It seriously feels like I'm playing Cold War, but my enemies are playing MW19. It's SO bad in this game.
Weird it feel like the fastest xp for the weapons and with the prestige I don’t mind a slow grind to level up in general. But the maps are dog water and I’m glad we got nuke town as it feel so much better than other 16 maps
The horrible maps make me not want to play the game. All the maps are tiny as hell and you have no time to breathe. Just constant shipment-esque action the entire game. It’s exhausting
Agree with everything. I would also add that not being able to use the special camos until you complete all of the base camos first is really weird. If I already have special camos from different weapon, I really don't get a chance to use those on different weapons since I most likely will have gold pretty soon after completing my base camos. Also, zombies and MP sharing the settings is also pretty weird. If I set a keybinds for my gobblegums, it will change them for MP scorestreaks and vice versa. I think both modes should have totally separate settings, since I also like to run different audio and brightness settings for both modes. The last annoyance is having the sprint as tap so I don't have to hold my sprint button, it can sometimes cause me to dive when I think the sprint is already over and I try to go prone. These are just small things that I don't like.
Wish we had groundwar(9v9) at launch. Weapons take forever to lvl up. Also headshot camo challenges for snipers and shotguns instead of 1 shot kill challenges is weired.
OG Ground War Would be far better for COD in support than Bootleg Conquest GW. It works better with larger 6v6 maps with 10v10 or make expanded versions of existing maps. You don't need to cut up the Warzone Map to make them, which ALWAYS sucks especially with how WZ and Multi Play differently.
My two gripes: 1. When you equip perk Greed, you cannot choose Ninja with Ghost. Instead, it just switches to Dexterity, which is driving me nuts. Maybe it's something bugged in Prestige. 2. When you join a match mid game and get insta-killed by someone on the enemy team, before you even spawned into the game. Really low-budget and I hate it.
Perk changes are slow when Perk Greed used. Click on 4th Perk shows group 1 or 2 or 3, where it is originally, not the 4th slot, so easy to make mistake and change basic perks instead of 4th. Patch would help.
Outside of technical issues such as desync and bugs, my biggest issue is map design in combination with strict SBMM makes the game super repetitive and frustrating. SBMM in it's current state should not exist, it's too strict and makes the games feel scripted and inorganic. So many of the maps devolve into spawn into immediate gunfight, repeat over and over with no strategy, this is fine for the stakeout type maps but when most of the core maps regardless of size play like this there is a massive issue.
The sbmm is fine, the issue with cod is the maps play like ass and nothing is balanced, you can only have sbmm when there's counter play to every engagement, there's no counter play to the guy I just killed respawn behind me while I'm reloading.

Get rid of SBMM and replace it with Time Based Match Making. Put me in with other people who have to work for a living instead of a lobby full of unemployed losers who play the game for 8 hours a day. Not all of us have the time to “get good”
The spawns are often absolutely ludicrous, it's actually amazing how it's even possible. Like the entire enemy team can spawn literally a feet behind you, as long as you for a millisecond was LOS to every spawn point (like behind a box or something). I've lost count on how many killcams I've watched where I was juuuuust behind some sort of cover when they spawned. That and the desync, and the fact that literally EVERY single start of a match is filled with packet bursts are the biggest issue for me. Slide to fire speed is absolutely useless for some reason (I guess to force people to dive around instead of sliding?), some weapons have insanely high ADS time for no apparent reason, footsteps are louder than on beta making ninja a crutch for SURE. For a game that promotes movement with all this omnimovement stuff, it sure doesn't feel like it. PC optimilization is poor, for someone who got 180-200fps in MW3 with low to mid settings, getting 80fps on average with everything on absolutely low (included tinkering with profile file) including upscaling is in 2024 not acceptable. Recon are broken, menu's are broken, some settings randomly disappear right after using them (earlier today the HUD Preset literally just disappeared, and I mean literally a second after I used and closed the setting), upscaling/sharpness settings keeps resetting constantly, as well as mini map shape (keeps resetting to round) and the list goes on and on and on and on.
the part that worries me is that sometimes these devs, even treyarch, are extremely proud, and then they go through the work of programing some mechanic that ends up being 100% prejudicial to the player experience, but since they put effort into it, they refuse to simply remove it. This recon specialty feels like that to me, they're possibly gonna nerf it a million times but never remove the wallhack itself.
Really appreciate Ace shooting down the skill based damage stuff cause I've seen so much of that complaint since launch and it's so stupid. The teammate indicators disappearing is very annoying, makes it hard to read spawns

The inconsistent Ping, hit markers galore, the map designs they don’t flow, the winners circle looks cheap and dated, all these hit markers and I play HCTDM. It’s not a good COD at least not yet.

It’s crazy to me that Treyarch is still so far behind the other studios when it comes to netcode and desync. I remember going from BO3 to Infinite Warfare, which played pretty similarly back when they released and Infinite Warfare just felt so much smoother compared to BO3. It didn’t stack up to BO3 favorably in a lot of areas, but it felt way more consistent and I felt like I played way better because my shots more consistently connected. And now I’m getting the same thing in reverse. MW3 was my most played CoD probably since WW2 and hopping into BO6 after playing MW3 two weeks ago is crazy. I hope whatever seemingly built-in Treyarch netcode destroyer they keep using is sorted out because the other studios don’t struggle with this nearly as bad. Enjoying it overall, really hope they can get fixes and content updates out even half as consistently as Sledgehammer did last year (we were a bit spoiled with that one - thank you Sledgehammer love you kiss kiss.)

I want to play this game, but everytime I boot it up, I end up in a lobby with major desync within three matches. It absolutely destroys my enjoyment of the game. I havent had these issues so bad since mw19. Inconsistent ttk/ttd, killcams that show me not landing a single hit despite getting multiple hit markers on my end, and constantly getting killed around corners has sucked all enjoyment out of this for me. I hope they can get it fixed.
Your point at 1:39 Ace, is my biggest issue. I’ve never had this issue as bad in any other Call of Duty because it happens literally every game. I don’t have games where this doesn’t happen. There is no way for me to enjoy this game because of it. Rather than skill based damage, the atrocious desync makes the game feel rigged. I’ve never had desync this bad even in XDefiant
I really hope they add Combined Arms (12v12) back from Cold War, maps like Armada were very fun and creative. They also need to change the Recon Specialty, it makes it extremely difficult to flank and go on long streaks when the entire team gets free wallhacks on you, especially terrible on small maps. It’s made even worse by the fact that it seems that there are a lot of soft (penetratable) surfaces in the game. They also need to fix/change the HARP, the fact that, once again, ghost players only show up like a UAV dot sucks, the arrows are glitched and show up backwards/sideways, and it only takes two rockets to shoot down. It also seems that occasionally players don’t show up on the minimap at all when using the HARP.
There are a ton of comments so someone might have said it already but that broken HARP has gotten me killed so many times. The directional arrows are so inaccurate that you can't tell which way the enemy is looking.
Same goes with the perk that makes enemies direction arrows instead of dots on the minimap they all face one direction and not where that player is actually looking
Zombies is so mind-numbingly boring, *especially* solo. I'd prefer Treyarch simply learn how to lay out a progression system that doesn't feel like molasses just to pad out their weaker player retention.
It’s a whole new crew running the major studios now. Ever since David Vonderhaar left Treyarch last year, Black Ops 6 has just gone downhill. Sledgehammer, on the other hand, actually gave us some solid maps after MW3 launched.

If you enjoy the game most of them are minor issues. I've seen people with Dark Matter rn. For me most of those issue are minor except for 2. I enjoy the game, but I physically can not with the desync. The other issues are forgivable, but that desync and sbmm are the reason I alt+f4 last week and haven't played it since.
Ace you're awesome dude, keep doing what you're doing and sticking to the facts. I'm glad to see we got actual detailed stats this year bc I think we can all agree that you deserve a break from the tedium of testing every detail of every gun manually. I personally haven't been experiencing too much desync. I might just be lucky, but I recommend setting your quickplay filter to one game mode at a time. I experience desync much less often and am far less likely to run into a top 1% player. Hope that helps.
For me my main issues are: - Can't hear enemy team in post-game chat, idk why they removed that feature - The huge blinding glare bug on Diamond weapon camo when ADS in certain angles, it can block entire sight and make you lose track of enemies completely - BRING BACK LOOPING STREAKS (at the very least non-lethal like Ace suggested) I'm surprised you haven't mentioned ANY of these
Sledgehammer disabled broken mechanics that effected the game negatively, the fact Treyarch hasn't even acknowledged Recon shows how little they care about player feedback.
It’s only been a week. I do agree they should at least acknowledge these issues. This is something that will kill the game if they don’t do something, so I doubt it won’t be adjusted in some way. It’s too early for the devs to give up on this game.
This is easy to prove, just play like a bot for couple of games and you will notice that suddenly your shots are not missing. I did that and it's crazy to even think about it but it's true. Even aim assist became stronger. It's completly different game when you play like a bot for couple of games. Not just lobby is easier but killing enemies is easier because bullets are giving damage!

One thing I don't understand, is why the hell can we not see our damage dealt??? We only see gow many shots for an enemy to kill us, but I wanna see my own damage to an enemy if I get killed.
I'm sick of the server lag in SOLO Zombies, it needs to be able to play off the servers! Same lag happens in multiplayer and seems like it's only me and not the whole lobby when it happens. Hey I'm running North...*lag spins me 180 degrees*... straight back into the zombies....
Yea the servers haven't really changed at all cuz these same exact things were happening all throughout the year for MWIII zombies. Best thing to do if you have those issues start happening is to save and quit and load back into the game. Fair chance you'll get a better server, it's worked for me on several occasions.

@Airinas96 cold war people said was terrible at lauch it came out only after 8 months of making it only had 8 launch maps and barley any content it wasn't a finished game that along with the score streaks not resetting after death people hated that everyone would get like low and mid tier score streaks for free every game instead of having to get 15 kills in a row to earn one it was just 15 across the whole game I only played cold war recently and liked it but that's after 3 years of them added maps and guns and fixing the game heard the first 6 months were just an unfinished game so a lot of people quit playing
@@dx-dragon4399 I always thought Cold War got too much hate. I guess I was kind of lenient though because I knew they basically only had like a year to make it. But honestly BO6 released with less content (in terms of game modes in multiplayer and campaign) than Cold War did. Truth be told, I actually liked Cold War less by the end of its life cycle because they kept adding weapons that could 1-hit kill. Everybody was either sniping (probably the easiest cod to snipe in) using dual wield shotguns, using a cross bow, or melee weapon. There was just no skill in gunfights anymore.
Vanguard was SO bad lmfao what!? Cold war wasnt as bad as ppl say but vanguard was laughably bad. Its only saving grace was the tournament gunfight mode which they neglected to expand upon despite the popularity.
One of the biggest issues I notice is team balancing. I feel like I’ve had maybe 10 games that felt fairly balanced. It’s usually either my team being absolutely destroyed until half leave or vise versa
The spawns are some of the worst. I wish there was some form of spawn algorithm for when someone is aiming at the spawn area within a certain range. The amount of domination games I’ve lost because we couldn’t get out of spawn because every enemy was just far enough that they wouldn’t flip. While pre aiming spawn. Literally dying as after taking a step. But then when my team gets the upper hand and we do the same thing. No one on our team has pushed up and the spawns flip on us. It seems inconsistent. I also hate dying around corners, or dying to an enemy that was running at me on my screen but on their screen they stopped aimed and fired. The desync is terrible.
My top three worst things: 1. Dying before being able to move in the beginning of a match that is already underway. I start the game and I already died once. Happens pretty much every single time. 2. Kill Order is annoying because 90 % of people are playing it like four year olds running around with scissors. 3. Warhead is probably the worst map I have played in the entire series, at least it is top three of worst maps, hurt worse by being only one of 4 Face Off maps. EDIT: I also only like about four or five maps in the game.
Kill order is litterally the most hated game mode to the point its been mostly disabled (Devs even took it away from nuke town due to how hated it is) so people just use it for camo grinds not to actually play >.>

Glad to hear someone else has the damage indicator problem too. I thought I was crazy! Or bad, eh, no bad is probably accurate, but still! Also with the invincibility in kill order, I’ve died so many times downing someone with a knife then not being able to hit fast enough after the invisibility. Extraneous frustrating.
Bonus bug: The weird ghost lightning shotgun pellet flying around the maps and sometimes even causing visual clutter. That's been my most prominent one.
If you want crossplay off and not resetting, switch it of and immediately back out completely to the first screen (press x to connect). It will no longer reset after matches.
My biggest issue is the aiming. I use the EXACT SAME settings as in MWIII, MWII, MW19 and so on, but something feels extremely off. I usually play on Xbox but its unplayable for me, weirldy its relatively fine on PS5.
i believe ace talked about it on an earlier video, the sensitivity of this game is not the same as mw3. and if ur on controller it'd obviously be harder to adjust.

Great video. I never experienced the black screen issue you talked about. There is one thing that annoys me and that is that it seems that enemy bullets penetrate your teammates so you can be killed standing behind a teammate but you are able to shoot through your teammates to kill that enemy behind them. This seems very inconsistent. I haven't tested this so I'm not 100% sure this is a thing but I have often been in situations were this seems to be the case. And this is not something new to BO6 but something I experienced since I started playing CoD in 2019.
SBMM should be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd issue on this list. The fact that Activision has it in place to manipulate you into buying cosmetic crap by segregating the player base is criminal.

For the billionth time the worst thing just has to be SBMM. I know it's beating a dead horse, but we as a community can't just give up on complaining about it. Half the fun of the 2007-2012 Cods was obliterating a team then getting smacked right after; not every match feeling the same.
Splitscreen gameplay is, for the most part is alright, really the issues I find with it when i spend time with a pal or family are HUD issues or a control bug. Zombies functions just as solo does, save for a consistent round counter stuck bug for the 1st player after a vermin round and these weird gobblegum placerholders that player 2 sees in loadouts. Mutliplayer on the otherhand is a similar case where there are overlapped hud pieces and a bug where the 2nd player seemingly can't open that little scorestreak menu during gameplay.
with so many players online at launch, their servers get downgraded to 30hz tickrates, which is not nearly enough to feel smooth. It’s crazy that a game this fast paced doesnt have 120hz servers
Why would you say they get 'downgraded' to 30hz? You think this is a setting for their VM's? Are you trying to say that each of the 1000's of servers hosting this are all bogged down due to the large # of people?, as in each server is now hosting too many games per server? On the face of this, from a technical standpoint, you make zero sense.
You should make a video called my top (number) biggest issues with cod the past 3 years. I'll give you ideas 1. Servers have been unsatisfactory for the past 3ish years, probably even longer like 4 or 5 2. The games have launched either unfinished and broken or just one or the other. 3. Kinda falls under number 2 but Vanguard, MWII, MWIII, and BO6 have launched with bugs that the previous titles had at launch or sometime during their lifetime and that have been fixed for the previous game, but couldn't be fixed for the launch of the new title. 4. Falls under number 1 The "endless searching for lobbies" that's been an issue since MW2019. Haven't noticed it in BO6 YET, but was in all of the MW titles.
To your number 3 point, cod is famous for having bugs that have been patched out of previous games. I mean genuinely every year I can remember, there is a problem with challenges not tracking correctly/giving you credit when you didn’t even complete it - including BO6.
I honestly don’t think snipers are underpowered. It’s pretty easy to snipe in this game. I just think a couple of the maps don’t allow for a sniper to thrive because they’re too small. I snipe all the time though.
@ with all due respect yo must not be a quick scoper as the best quick scopers in the world recognize this is the worst game for it since BO1 and the snipers aren’t even centered properly. It is actually pretty ridiculous how bad it is in that regard especially flinch. The snipers are extremely underpowered as of now which hopefully gets fixed soon.
@@christianmcallister2829 no, I understand that there’s a pretty hard delay with the bullet being centered from when you aim in, but I just don’t think it’s a problem personally. Both of the relevant snipers are consistent 1 shots, and one of them has a pretty generous ads speed. I just don’t consider snipers “extremely underpowered” because it’s more difficult to quickscope. I’m generally in favour of one-shot weapons being harder to use. That being said, I already pointed out that snipers are very consistent 1-shots and I personally don’t find it difficult to drop 40-60 kills a game with them…
8:40 About cross-play turning on again after every game: I had the same problem, but then I went all the way to the main menu of BO6 and turned it off there (instead of in the multiplayer menu) and since then it hasn't automatically turned on again.

TacticalBrit did a really great video talking about the servers and desync with testing to show how bad the issue is. Defo recommend checking it out. I agree w/ this list though but overall I'm having a blast w/ BO6.
It’s also really frustrating that after prestiging, all loadouts are reset. I know that some equipment I had will need to be reset because it’s no longer available, but I rename my loadouts and it always resets them to “Custom Loadout 1”, etc. Obviously fine if things no longer available are replaced with entry-level stuff, but just leave the names as I had them and don’t replace things that don’t need to be replaced.
Connection is definitely a big issue, but also another annoying issue is the Omni-movement controls are a bit too cumbersome. Helldivers 2 has the best: Omni dive- double tap crouch button Prone - hold crouch button Crouch - tap crouch button

On the I-frames, I think speeding up the animation would fix it. The perk doesn't do anything unless players can completely enter the downed animation, so speeding up the animation to entering downed state would help a lot
My biggest problems not mentioned: -HC Kill Confirmed, my preferred mode, only has three maps in the playlist -After a game, often fails to load post-game stats requiring me to back out to main loading screen -I'm sure I'll get used to it, but omni-movement feels a bit too loose. I often slide past doorways or enemies or vault off half-walls out of the map -Not able to track challenges -I want to like Faceoff but 6v6 doesn't feel good or much different from the regular MP matches. I long for the old 3v3 matchups, could compromise to 4v4.

Ace, in order to fix the crossplay re-enabling itself after every match, here is the fix. Start up the game, turn off cross play, close the game entirely, from then on out it shouldn't re-enable. I was having this same issue. This was causing more severe issues with me due to other people in the party also having crossplay off when it would turn on.
8:29 is my biggest issue at the moment. So annoying that it keeps enabling "Crossplay." And of course, the "Recon" perk and inability to counter it. People literally shoot you through walls when they spawn and see exactly where you're at.
This game is a total blast and a ton of fun to play. But I feel we took a massive step backwards on create a class/gunsmith. The attachment selection is boring, and are just generic “make your guns better” attachments that don’t actually feel like I’m customizing the gun like I did in MWIII, plus the way create a class is set up I feel limited in what I can do with a class, compared to pick 10 and MWIII’s vest + gear system
Dom used to be my fav mode back in the day. Especially running with a team. U could control the map and in turn control spawn points. I had no idea they went back to this. I haven't played Dom in years because of the way they changed the spawns. This gets me pretty hyped. I'm gonna have to check it out. I haven't ran a single Dom game yet
My main issue is the spawns, especially on hardpoint. The hard point was in the center of the map. Every time I died, I spawned at the opposite side of the map. Followed shortly by the other team spawning behind me. There really needs to be more of an "A side" and "B side" So there's some sense of the opponent. And yeah, the weapon grind is crazy. But on the other hand, we shouldn't be able to unlock all weapons and have dark matter in the first month either.
I think my biggest issues (outside of the matchmaking algorithm) are…
1: The fact you can get killed by other players as you’re still loading into the map when you join a match mid game
2: Constantly being backfilled into a match where it’s already a complete blowout and my team is getting destroyed by the enemy team

I think desync/netcode issues and the recon perk are way more bothersome issues than these, although I agree that everything here needs to be addressed.
Teammate body blocking is one of my biggest gripes but generally I'm enjoying the game
that can be annoying in Hardcore as so many teamkills due to that both by me or my team shooting an enemy. Never killed them back in retaliation as in 9/10 cases it's an accident. On Pit it's usually the worst but i see it happen a lot on Nuketown as well.
Totally agreed. Like we have COD for many years, but the moshing problem never gets addressed. We should be moving through teammates just fine without them or us blocking/pushing each other. It drives me insane on Babylon having instances where I died cause of being pushed.
I hate the fact teammates’ collision models are huge, you bump into them like a pinball; yet enemies somehow completely lack any collision and can just slide between your legs to shoot you in the back. Like heck, I’m trying to block off a hardpoint here, and the enemy team just phase through me.

The maps are mediocre overall, but the biggest problem with them is that basically none of them feel like they were designed with the new movement and hyperfast pace of play in mind. The majority of games feeling like Shipment is not what a lot of us signed up for (though I concede that Shipment/Nuketown 24/7/365 *is* precisely what a lot of other players have wanted). I lamented the fact that we don't have any 16-24+ player modes when this game launched, but now I very much understand why and am hoping for the first time in a long time that we get considerably larger maps post-launch if only to mix things up.

I think that one of the big parts for designing those launch core maps of BO6 is making the maps more interactive, which is different from IW's more realistic take and SHG's more classic take on map design. Many of those launch maps are aiming for a three lane design, however they also aren't purely following the three lane design fundamental.
This interactive design asks for player involvements (notably Subsonic's gates and Skyline's secret route) and their maneuverabilities, however it has somewhat neglected the extra lines of sight from the increased amount of jump spots or gaps between lanes in the maps, while the team-based respawn system from the newer engine has ruined some of the map experience with the increased flanking entries in some of the maps (Derelict and Lowtown etc.) as well.
I like what Treyarch is experimenting with those interactive elements in the core 6v6 maps, but they still need to coordinate better base map blueprints to go along with those elements.
So I heard a theory that the Omni movement was added late in development so that’s why map flow is kinda off but only a theory
I can understand why people think there is skill based damage, I just finished a long playing session, and in the same match I can go from slaying people immediately to having to use a entire clip to kill someone.

Agree with everything. I would also add that not being able to use the special camos until you complete all of the base camos first is really weird. If I already have special camos from different weapon, I really don't get a chance to use those on different weapons since I most likely will have gold pretty soon after completing my base camos.
Also, zombies and MP sharing the settings is also pretty weird. If I set a keybinds for my gobblegums, it will change them for MP scorestreaks and vice versa. I think both modes should have totally separate settings, since I also like to run different audio and brightness settings for both modes.
The last annoyance is having the sprint as tap so I don't have to hold my sprint button, it can sometimes cause me to dive when I think the sprint is already over and I try to go prone.
These are just small things that I don't like.

OG Ground War Would be far better for COD in support than Bootleg Conquest GW. It works better with larger 6v6 maps with 10v10 or make expanded versions of existing maps. You don't need to cut up the Warzone Map to make them, which ALWAYS sucks especially with how WZ and Multi Play differently.

My two gripes:
1. When you equip perk Greed, you cannot choose Ninja with Ghost. Instead, it just switches to Dexterity, which is driving me nuts. Maybe it's something bugged in Prestige.
2. When you join a match mid game and get insta-killed by someone on the enemy team, before you even spawned into the game. Really low-budget and I hate it.
I have the dexterity problem too with perk greed so it must be bugged.
You can actually. Just go on the 4th perk and you can choose the perks with L1 and R1.

Perk changes are slow when Perk Greed used. Click on 4th Perk shows group 1 or 2 or 3, where it is originally, not the 4th slot, so easy to make mistake and change basic perks instead of 4th. Patch would help.

Outside of technical issues such as desync and bugs, my biggest issue is map design in combination with strict SBMM makes the game super repetitive and frustrating. SBMM in it's current state should not exist, it's too strict and makes the games feel scripted and inorganic. So many of the maps devolve into spawn into immediate gunfight, repeat over and over with no strategy, this is fine for the stakeout type maps but when most of the core maps regardless of size play like this there is a massive issue.
The sbmm is fine, the issue with cod is the maps play like ass and nothing is balanced, you can only have sbmm when there's counter play to every engagement, there's no counter play to the guy I just killed respawn behind me while I'm reloading.

The spawns are often absolutely ludicrous, it's actually amazing how it's even possible. Like the entire enemy team can spawn literally a feet behind you, as long as you for a millisecond was LOS to every spawn point (like behind a box or something). I've lost count on how many killcams I've watched where I was juuuuust behind some sort of cover when they spawned. That and the desync, and the fact that literally EVERY single start of a match is filled with packet bursts are the biggest issue for me.
Slide to fire speed is absolutely useless for some reason (I guess to force people to dive around instead of sliding?), some weapons have insanely high ADS time for no apparent reason, footsteps are louder than on beta making ninja a crutch for SURE. For a game that promotes movement with all this omnimovement stuff, it sure doesn't feel like it.
PC optimilization is poor, for someone who got 180-200fps in MW3 with low to mid settings, getting 80fps on average with everything on absolutely low (included tinkering with profile file) including upscaling is in 2024 not acceptable.
Recon are broken, menu's are broken, some settings randomly disappear right after using them (earlier today the HUD Preset literally just disappeared, and I mean literally a second after I used and closed the setting), upscaling/sharpness settings keeps resetting constantly, as well as mini map shape (keeps resetting to round) and the list goes on and on and on and on.
The recon specialty needs removed. Wall hacks off spawn are ridiculous
it's such a garbage perk. legit no skill to use.
the part that worries me is that sometimes these devs, even treyarch, are extremely proud, and then they go through the work of programing some mechanic that ends up being 100% prejudicial to the player experience, but since they put effort into it, they refuse to simply remove it. This recon specialty feels like that to me, they're possibly gonna nerf it a million times but never remove the wallhack itself.

Appreciate you pointing out the desync first and foremost, its a problem that is getting ignored for surface level issues like Recon and maps and downplayed as a “skill issue”
It’s crazy to me that Treyarch is still so far behind the other studios when it comes to netcode and desync. I remember going from BO3 to Infinite Warfare, which played pretty similarly back when they released and Infinite Warfare just felt so much smoother compared to BO3. It didn’t stack up to BO3 favorably in a lot of areas, but it felt way more consistent and I felt like I played way better because my shots more consistently connected.
And now I’m getting the same thing in reverse. MW3 was my most played CoD probably since WW2 and hopping into BO6 after playing MW3 two weeks ago is crazy. I hope whatever seemingly built-in Treyarch netcode destroyer they keep using is sorted out because the other studios don’t struggle with this nearly as bad.
Enjoying it overall, really hope they can get fixes and content updates out even half as consistently as Sledgehammer did last year (we were a bit spoiled with that one - thank you Sledgehammer love you kiss kiss.)

I want to play this game, but everytime I boot it up, I end up in a lobby with major desync within three matches. It absolutely destroys my enjoyment of the game. I havent had these issues so bad since mw19. Inconsistent ttk/ttd, killcams that show me not landing a single hit despite getting multiple hit markers on my end, and constantly getting killed around corners has sucked all enjoyment out of this for me. I hope they can get it fixed.
Your point at 1:39 Ace, is my biggest issue. I’ve never had this issue as bad in any other Call of Duty because it happens literally every game. I don’t have games where this doesn’t happen. I really hope they add Combined Arms (12v12) back from Cold War, maps like Armada were very fun and creative. They also need to change the Recon Specialty, it makes it extremely difficult to flank and go on long streaks when the entire team gets free wallhacks on you, especially terrible on small maps. It’s made even worse by the fact that it seems that there are a lot of soft (penetratable) surfaces in the game.
They also need to fix/change the HARP, the fact that, once again, ghost players only show up like a UAV dot sucks, the arrows are glitched and show up backwards/sideways, and it only takes two rockets to shoot down. It also seems that occasionally players don’t show up on the minimap at all when using the HARP.
There are a ton of comments so someone might have said it already but that broken HARP has gotten me killed so many times. The directional arrows are so inaccurate that you can't tell which way the enemy is looking.
Same goes with the perk that makes enemies direction arrows instead of dots on the minimap they all face one direction and not where that player is actually looking

It’s a whole new crew running the major studios now. Ever since David Vonderhaar left Treyarch last year, Black Ops 6 has just gone downhill. Sledgehammer, on the other hand, actually gave us some solid maps after MW3 launched.

If you enjoy the game most of them are minor issues. I've seen people with Dark Matter rn. For me most of those issue are minor except for 2. I enjoy the game, but I physically can not with the desync. The other issues are forgivable, but that desync and sbmm are the reason I alt+f4 last week and haven't played it since.
Also, I think the chamber animation should maybe be a pre round thing? I like it for flavor but agree it gets in the way in chaotic moments

I personally haven't been experiencing too much desync. I might just be lucky, but I recommend setting your quickplay filter to one game mode at a time. I experience desync much less often and am far less likely to run into a top 1% player. Hope that helps.
For me my main issues are:
- Can't hear enemy team in post-game chat, idk why they removed that feature
- The huge blinding glare bug on Diamond weapon camo when ADS in certain angles, it can block entire sight and make you lose track of enemies completely
- BRING BACK LOOPING STREAKS (at the very least non-lethal like Ace suggested)

Even aim assist became stronger. It's completly different game when you play like a bot for couple of games. Not just lobby is easier but killing enemies is easier because bullets are giving damage!

Yea the servers haven't really changed at all cuz these same exact things were happening all throughout the year for MWIII zombies. Best thing to do if you have those issues start happening is to save and quit and load back into the game. Fair chance you'll get a better server, it's worked for me on several occasions.

Truth be told, I actually liked Cold War less by the end of its life cycle because they kept adding weapons that could 1-hit kill. Everybody was either sniping (probably the easiest cod to snipe in) using dual wield shotguns, using a cross bow, or melee weapon. There was just no skill in gunfights anymore.

One of the biggest issues I notice is team balancing. I feel like I’ve had maybe 10 games that felt fairly balanced. It’s usually either my team being absolutely destroyed until half leave or vise versa
The spawns are some of the worst. I wish there was some form of spawn algorithm for when someone is aiming at the spawn area within a certain range. The amount of domination games I’ve lost because we couldn’t get out of spawn because every enemy was just far enough that they wouldn’t flip. While pre aiming spawn. Literally dying as after taking a step. But then when my team gets the upper hand and we do the same thing. No one on our team has pushed up and the spawns flip on us. It seems inconsistent. I also hate dying around corners, or dying to an enemy that was running at me on my screen but on their screen they stopped aimed and fired. The desync is terrible.

My top three worst things:
1. Dying before being able to move in the beginning of a match that is already underway. I start the game and I already died once. Happens pretty much every single time.
2. Kill Order is annoying because 90 % of people are playing it like four year olds running around with scissors.
3. Warhead is probably the worst map I have played in the entire series, at least it is top three of worst maps, hurt worse by being only one of 4 Face Off maps.
EDIT: I also only like about four or five maps in the game.
Kill order is litterally the most hated game mode to the point its been mostly disabled (Devs even took it away from nuke town due to how hated it is) so people just use it for camo grinds not to actually play >.>

Also with the invincibility in kill order, I’ve died so many times downing someone with a knife then not being able to hit fast enough after the invisibility. Extraneous frustrating.

They’re gone. There is no aim assist type setting, only on or off.

You guys are the minority. It takes too long to get attachments. You’ll get Dark matter before you get all the attachments.
Play zombies. A traditional round 26 game will earn you the first 10 weapon levels or 5 later weapon levels and a lots of XP especially if you exfil.
Bonus bug: The weird ghost lightning shotgun pellet flying around the maps and sometimes even causing visual clutter. That's been my most prominent one.
EOMM needs to be removed. Needs to be cbmm (connection based matchmaking).
If you want crossplay off and not resetting, switch it of and immediately back out completely to the first screen (press x to connect). It will no longer reset after matches.
My biggest issue is the aiming. I use the EXACT SAME settings as in MWIII, MWII, MW19 and so on, but something feels extremely off.
I usually play on Xbox but its unplayable for me, weirldy its relatively fine on PS5.
i believe ace talked about it on an earlier video, the sensitivity of this game is not the same as mw3. and if ur on controller it'd obviously be harder to adjust.

IKR! it seems like whenever i aim at my opponent, its like my crosshair decides to move itself and i end up missing all of my shots 😭😭

I never experienced the black screen issue you talked about.
There is one thing that annoys me and that is that it seems that enemy bullets penetrate your teammates so you can be killed standing behind a teammate but you are able to shoot through your teammates to kill that enemy behind them. This seems very inconsistent. I haven't tested this so I'm not 100% sure this is a thing but I have often been in situations were this seems to be the case. And this is not something new to BO6 but something I experienced since I started playing CoD in 2019.
SBMM should be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd issue on this list. The fact that Activision has it in place to manipulate you into buying cosmetic crap by segregating the player base is criminal.

What you said makes sense in the beginning. I took a few years off call of duty and just came back so I assumed I was just garbage, to be fair I am, but some games are rolling with like a 3.5ED and others I’ll lose most gunnies and get what feels like deleted by a C9
For the billionth time the worst thing just has to be SBMM. I know it's beating a dead horse, but we as a community can't just give up on complaining about it. Half the fun of the 2007-2012 Cods was obliterating a team then getting smacked right after; not every match feeling the same.

Splitscreen gameplay is, for the most part is alright, really the issues I find with it when i spend time with a pal or family are HUD issues or a control bug.
Zombies functions just as solo does, save for a consistent round counter stuck bug for the 1st player after a vermin round and these weird gobblegum placerholders that player 2 sees in loadouts.
Mutliplayer on the otherhand is a similar case where there are overlapped hud pieces and a bug where the 2nd player seemingly can't open that little scorestreak menu during gameplay.
Updates requires restart.

with so many players online at launch, their servers get downgraded to 30hz tickrates, which is not nearly enough to feel smooth. It’s crazy that a game this fast paced doesnt have 120hz servers
Why would you say they get 'downgraded' to 30hz? You think this is a setting for their VM's? Are you trying to say that each of the 1000's of servers hosting this are all bogged down due to the large # of people?, as in each server is now hosting too many games per server?

You should make a video called my top (number) biggest issues with cod the past 3 years.
I'll give you ideas
1. Servers have been unsatisfactory for the past 3ish years, probably even longer like 4 or 5
2. The games have launched either unfinished and broken or just one or the other.
3. Kinda falls under number 2 but Vanguard, MWII, MWIII, and BO6 have launched with bugs that the previous titles had at launch or sometime during their lifetime and that have been fixed for the previous game, but couldn't be fixed for the launch of the new title.
4. Falls under number 1
The "endless searching for lobbies" that's been an issue since MW2019. Haven't noticed it in BO6 YET, but was in all of the MW titles.
To your number 3 point, cod is famous for having bugs that have been patched out of previous games. I mean genuinely every year I can remember, there is a problem with challenges not tracking correctly/giving you credit when you didn’t even complete it - including BO6.
So you’re not going to mention how HORRIBLY underpowered snipers are?
I honestly don’t think snipers are underpowered. It’s pretty easy to snipe in this game. I just think a couple of the maps don’t allow for a sniper to thrive because they’re too small. I snipe all the time though.
@ with all due respect yo must not be a quick scoper as the best quick scopers in the world recognize this is the worst game for it since BO1 and the snipers aren’t even centered properly. It is actually pretty ridiculous how bad it is in that regard especially flinch. The snipers are extremely underpowered as of now which hopefully gets fixed soon.
@@christianmcallister2829 no, I understand that there’s a pretty hard delay with the bullet being centered from when you aim in, but I just don’t think it’s a problem personally. Both of the relevant snipers are consistent 1 shots, and one of them has a pretty generous ads speed. I just don’t consider snipers “extremely underpowered” because it’s more difficult to quickscope. I’m generally in favour of one-shot weapons being harder to use.
That being said, I already pointed out that snipers are very consistent 1-shots and I personally don’t find it difficult to drop 40-60 kills a game with them…
8:40 About cross-play turning on again after every game: I had the same problem, but then I went all the way to the main menu of BO6 and turned it off there (instead of in the multiplayer menu) and since then it hasn't automatically turned on again.

TacticalBrit did a really great video talking about the servers and desync with testing to show how bad the issue is. Defo recommend checking it out. I agree w/ this list though but overall I'm having a blast w/ BO6.
It’s also really frustrating that after prestiging, all loadouts are reset. I know that some equipment I had will need to be reset because it’s no longer available, but I rename my loadouts and it always resets them to “Custom Loadout 1”, etc. Obviously fine if things no longer available are replaced with entry-level stuff, but just leave the names as I had them and don’t replace things that don’t need to be replaced.
Connection is definitely a big issue, but also another annoying issue is the Omni-movement controls are a bit too cumbersome. Helldivers 2 has the best:
Omni dive- double tap crouch button
Prone - hold crouch button
Crouch - tap crouch button

On the I-frames, I think speeding up the animation would fix it. The perk doesn't do anything unless players can completely enter the downed animation, so speeding up the animation to entering downed state would help a lot
My biggest problems not mentioned:
-HC Kill Confirmed, my preferred mode, only has three maps in the playlist
-After a game, often fails to load post-game stats requiring me to back out to main loading screen
-I'm sure I'll get used to it, but omni-movement feels a bit too loose. I often slide past doorways or enemies or vault off half-walls out of the map
-Not able to track challenges
-I want to like Faceoff but 6v6 doesn't feel good or much different from the regular MP matches. I long for the old 3v3 matchups, could compromise to 4v4.

Bo4 was alright but not perfect... only IW games dont have this issue. one of the biggest reason why i prefer modern warfare over black ops

I agree, I thought I was crazy. Desync is a huge issue, it makes firefights seem one sided. Reaction times are hindered!

Ace, in order to fix the crossplay re-enabling itself after every match, here is the fix. Start up the game, turn off cross play, close the game entirely, from then on out it shouldn't re-enable. I was having this same issue. This was causing more severe issues with me due to other people in the party also having crossplay off when it would turn on.
8:29 is my biggest issue at the moment. So annoying that it keeps enabling "Crossplay." And of course, the "Recon" perk and inability to counter it. People literally shoot you through walls when they spawn and see exactly where you're at.
This game is a total blast and a ton of fun to play. But I feel we took a massive step backwards on create a class/gunsmith. The attachment selection is boring, and are just generic “make your guns better” attachments that don’t actually feel like I’m customizing the gun like I did in MWIII, plus the way create a class is set up I feel limited in what I can do with a class, compared to pick 10 and MWIII’s vest + gear system
Dom used to be my fav mode back in the day. Especially running with a team. U could control the map and in turn control spawn points.
I had no idea they went back to this. I haven't played Dom in years because of the way they changed the spawns. This gets me pretty hyped. I'm gonna have to check it out. I haven't ran a single Dom game yet
My main issue is the spawns, especially on hardpoint. The hard point was in the center of the map. Every time I died, I spawned at the opposite side of the map. Followed shortly by the other team spawning behind me. There really needs to be more of an "A side" and "B side" So there's some sense of the opponent.
And yeah, the weapon grind is crazy. But on the other hand, we shouldn't be able to unlock all weapons and have dark matter in the first month either.
