Yes you can. I live in a city that it's not available and traveled an hour to Mesquite, TX because my local Walmart stores dont carry this yet, bought the router and used the Walmart address to activate it in Walmarts parking lot. Had it plugged into my generator and it works as advertised! Kept it plugged all the way back home (1 hour drive) and it got decent speeds. LTE is capped at 50 mbps and 5G is capped at 100 mbps (10 upload) . I live in a rural area so this is good for me. Also, it's not geo locked. It does not have to be at the address you activate it at. If you don't want to run your credit or have bad credit or live in the sticks, this is a good option as long as you have Verizon towers around. Don't let the "your address is not eligible" fool you! They don't want to overload the towers and of course Verizon has top priority on their towers but IT STILL WORKS!
Funny thing I was looking into getting T-Mobile home internet via Metro so I can own the router. But I have been seeing lot of neigbors have T-mobile home internet SSID so Idk if it will congest my area to even get it now
Internet can always get congested it's just random there are only 12 channels for internet traffic your router will usually just change automatically to one that has less traffic but it can also just not move at all
I've had it for about 6 weeks. When it's running it's great. Pay attention I said WHEN 😁. The customer service is clueless also. Do yourself a favor and hold off on this while they work out the bugs. I'm returning mine maybe next year they will have a stable system.
the bad thing is its speed capped at 100 down 10 up , so it is really lte internet, its fine if 1 person or 2 persons using it but not heavy family use, verizon home internet gives me 300 down and 20 up soon the uploads will double on verizon with the upgraded device coming
To your question about the 60 GB cut off point or data cap. I have Straight talk phone service for about 10 years now. When Straight Talk got bought out by Verizon the data cap is now 204 GB after that you will be shut off until next billing cycle. I have done this 3 times always the same 204GB before they shut off your data. Which is good because it use to 60GB when strait talk owned the service. As the new internet service they announced I would assume it will be truly unlimited. Like the box says TRULY UNLIMITED.
@@stoptechfrauds not that hard. If you have a game system most games are 40- even 100 gigs. UA-cam streaming at 720pnnot even 4k will use at least a gig an hour. Adds up quick.
Yes it will go over 100 but it will come back down eventually and set in at 100 mbps. I got 109 mbps a few times on the first few tests and it never went that high again. 100 mbps is the max and 10 up is the max.
How does this service perform over Verizon's 4G LTE network ? I'm kind of curious as the service is $45 a month and it says that 4G LTE can give you up to 25 MB on the download but areas that Verizon's home internet can offer which I believe is the same device from what I can see never tried it out but they're offering their service where it's available for $25 a month on their 4G LTE up to 50 mb for half the cost so I'm kind of curious on why straight talk is charging almost double the price for the same speed.
+jasonmarshall4436 ..... with verizon's home internet you will need to bundle it w/ their premium mobile plans to get that $25 price, while w/ straighttalk no need for bundles, no contracts, no credit checks, etc.
I wouldn't mind getting it cut my bill in half I'm paying $78 a month high speed internet currently I just wish straight Talk do my area I have straight Talk phone
Can you buy it at Walmart and use it at an address that is not available for service?
I’m trying to use it in a semi

Verizon is providing the unlimited data for this device… it’s a new ball game ….
How do you you use 204GB!?!?!

But who needs a unlimited turd. Because trust me it's crap atm. 👍✌️
Based on their cellar service, I personally would not even fathom their WiFi 🙅🏾♀️
I just saw a unboxing and test…. Went way over 100mbps …. Fyi
