Using the same laptop from past 7-8 months. It gives a good playable experience in current gen games at medium-high and 1-3 year older games at ultra. No complaints as of now.

The main issue with this gpu has been the limited VRAM. Since textures are more vram demanding, if you turn those low-medium and the other effects high, you still get a pretty good experience with current gen games.

One slot with 8gb and the other with 16 will only make a minimal difference in performance.If you're budget is low than it would be better to upgrade to 16gb with two 8gb rams.it'll deliver better results than a laptop with one 8 gb ram and another 16Gb ram.
I have dell G15 i5 12500h 16 GB 4800 mhz ram and rtx 3050 90 watt it runs almost every game smoothly on high to ultra settings and can handle 1080p edits very smoothly and even 4k edits at intermediate level. Blender is also running pretty smoothly on it.
@@nishantdehury8751 nope mate not in my case i live in New Delhi India and summer is going on here and the temperature goes above 40 degree still it is handling every game or software very easily tho after 2-3 hrs it gets hot but that's the problem with every laptop there is no such drop in performance or any faulty component although i suggest you to buy a decent laptop stand or cooling pad it helps in dealing with temperature specially if u lives in a area where summers are very hot.

My laptop has a 3050, 32 gb of ram and a Ryzen 7 6800 and it is fine with most games, except RE4 Remake, sometimes it can go at 90 fps on high and sometimes goes at 30 fps on low, I thought it was because of indoors and outdoors scenarios but on the starting house it was very bad and on the giant fight it was great.

Some of these games are more CPU intensive than other games (for example like genshin impact and GTA 5) so you shouldn't get a core i3 540 and an rtx 4090 maybe you should get something like a Core i5-10400 and an rtx 3060 if your on a budget

Second one RTX 350 has 4GB of video memory compared to RTX 4050 which has 6GB of video memory. 4GB is good for now but in future it will be limited.

Very nice video which leads to a simple conclusion: 3050 Ti is NOT good for gaming in 2023 and is total trash with its 4 GB VRAM. Nvidia must be ashamed of that decision to issue such a miserable videocard while they were presenting it as a mid-range gaming option. Thieves are they.
Total trash is an insane stretch. For a mobile card it does the job fine if you aren't planning to live on the laptop as your main source of gaming and even then it's fine for ppl
@@pasta4762 Let's say I agree with a 3050ti being a "not the most awful option" for those aiming at such a laptop just to play a role of a mobile pc for trips and stuff which can launch a videogame for you from time to time. I, for one, also got such a laptop and I tested about 5 games on it incl TLoU and Hogwarts being very demanding for VRAM. Sadly, it was a disappointment. Ppl buying one as a main gaming device, well, I am not juding badly but either they are not choosy at all or they know nothing of the current range of mobile GPUs and what they are capable of.
