My name is Eric and I travel with my 26lb cat, “Jax” in a 2012 Coachmen Mirada 32BH Class A Motorhome on a Ford Super Duty truck chassis. (V10 Triton) We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round. Here is my gear & some popular questions answered:

You can use cabinet shelve liner under Jaxs bowls, I use them all the time and 0 noise or sliding around. Regards

I am from Kansas and we have some nice little county parks with campgrounds. Harvey county west park or east park is nice if you get towards Newton or Halstead. I like the west park better for the shade but the east park has more water area and more open. Enjoy KS. We have beautiful sunsets. Say hi to Jax.

I just love the floor plan on Miranda! Having the table looking out on the picnic table side of your camping spot is ideal! Most Class As have the table looking out to the side of the RV next to you. 😝
Simple cloth under each bowl in metal frame will fix the pet bowl problem.

@@beezytalkingshit9319 It all depends where you are and if it has water and power, etc. But, a lot of land out here is under 200k. In fact I have seen land out here for less than 70k, but it was totally undeveloped no power, no water.

@BEASTmode Laboratory! That's exactly the kind of properties I see for those prices too! LOL Or on hillsides with no level land on the property. I live up by Lake Berryessa. Most of the cheaper land I see is small lots or uneven land, etc. Lake County has some of the cheaper land I have seen with actual houses on it. Usually they are modular homes. Clearlake area has a ton of lots with old mobile homes on them. But there is a heavy drug culture out there and people's properties get robbed a lot.

That gave me a good feel for what it's like out on the prairies there (yes, I knew it was flat and windy, but it's good to see it and hear it like this). Don't know if it's just me(?), but I so much prefer this normal day-to-day life and nature stuff, and the town and city tours, to any Disney and quirky. Thanks Eric!

Eric you need to purchase a NOAA Weather Radio and keep it on all the time you're transiting States that are main tornado States this time of year.

That's the thing that surprises everyone from the coasts. The wind is unrelentingly and strong on the plains. Makes it hard to drive, pushing me RVs all over the place.

Hi Eric great video You don't have to exchange bowls just need to put a rubber seal around Jax's bowl's and it will stop the rattling

We travel with two cats..for Jax's food bowl they make a stand with those type of bowls but the bowls have a rubber ring around them so you don't get the noise, works great. We also have for long travel days we use the cat bowls that have a rubber non slip mat that they sit in so then they wont slide around while driving.
You could also put Jax's dishes on a rubber lipped mat. Any messes won't go all over the floor and its an easy cleanup. Safe travels!

Grading does not create washboards. It removes them.

You could put plastic bowls between the base and the metal bowls to stop the clanking but still be able to use the metal bowls which are better for Jax
Collapsible silicon bowls work great in my RV. They don’t move and are quiet.

Indeed, my ass sat on those a LOT when i was a kid on the farm, the table made from a tractor steel lug wheel and that "plow" was in actuality the remnants of an old steam engine. That rough road is commonly known across the Midwest as washboard roads, the results of the freeze/thaw action in conjunction with a maintainer that didn't have his bade set properly when he reworked the road after the winter thaw. Some of them are so bad that you can't go over 2 MPH in an RV. We followed one of those back 12 miles into the woods around Yellowstone National Park, only to find the campground full so we had to return the same 12 miles shook my poor rig nearly to pieces.
Suggestion for a cheap fix for Jax’s bowls. Get some fuel line, or other small rubber hose, cut a slit in in lengthwise as line the frame of the bowl in that, that should fix your rattle issue

Vivaglory Dog Bowls Stainless Steel Water and Food Bowl Pet Cat Feeder with Non Spill Skid Resistant Silicone Mat, Medium, Black. Love this pet bowl with the non skid mat. It also catches any food/water that they spill. It would solve the noise issue.
To stop Jax dishes making a noise just put two pieces of kitchen roll paper on top of the dish holding hole and place the dishes on top of that. The paper will hold the dish better and stop the metal to metal noise

I saw a built out van that had a piece of drainage pipe (maybe 5 inch?) cut to edge the solar panels and camouflage as well as keep the wind out. Your metal scoop edging sounds fine, but I just thought I'd pass that on to others. Beautiful colors in video. I wondered if a sunset would make "on golden pond" Great to have your friends there. We had a similar setup with the swings from old tractor seats, they don't blow apart and away when winds/tornadoes come passing thru. the wind will be there everyday get used to it or just hate it.

You can put some large rubber bands on Jax's bowls just under the rim, so you won't see them and you won't have to buy new bowls. That was a windy place!!

i am at Spanish Banks in Vancouver, bc for a few days. The weather is just getting warm
I just hot a new cat bowl called a Neater Feeder. It’s pretty quiet and has a spillproof bottom. Sone people might want to check it out it’s kind a cool.
There are some cool hiking trails at Cimerron. About a 5-7 mile hike from the camp ground there is another cool pond and a pavilion with water. The cool thing to do is hike the loop that ends up back where the table was. The loop is long enough you can backpack and tent camp out on the prairie over night. There are almost no lights out there and the stars at night are incredible. Also, every couple miles hiking on the prairie all around there are windmills that pump water into open tanks for cattle to drink. The water pumps up from ground wells as long as the wind is blowing which is often on the prairie there. Usually the winds calm down after sunset. There are huge jack rabbits everywhere in the summer. They are the size of dogs I mean huge. Also there are cacti along the trails. It may seem kinda barren from this video but trust me it's a cool over night backpacking hiking spot. Thanks for sharing Eric. Cool to see you in my home state. 👍
