I've always wondered about that water cannon on Splash Mountain. Back in 2009 to 2013 the cannon would spray a large amount of water that was so big it would fog up the whole area.
I love carousels! Btw, the famous Butchart Gardens in Victoria BC has a similarly beautiful carousel, for anyone considering a visit when travel is opened. (Not connected to the Gardens in any way!)
Interesting about the hearse. I always thought it was there, but at the same time, remember there being a kiosk cart there that sold magic tricks in 1994, like a light bulb that would turn on when you touch it, large foam rocks that looked heavy, but were light and didn’t hurt when thrown, and what I got, and still have, a two headed nickel. These were the same products they sold at the magic shop on Main Street, back when they were still individual stores.
Hey there AJ, I'm a avid Disneyphile and a German teacher. I've been to Germany a few times and visited the inspiration for Cinderella Castle. Neuschwanstein is in Southern Germany outside the town Fuessen. The name means "New Swan's Stone." Pronunciation follows pretty closely: New-Neu (noy) Swan-Schwan (shh vahn) Stone-Stein (shtiyn) So all together (Noy shh vahn shtiyn) The phonetics in the parentheses are my way of teaching middle schoolers how to say it. Love love love DFB. I'm glued to this channel and the newsletter. Thanks to you, I already grabbed my family's Park Passes for our mid-October 2021 trip. Keep up the good work!

I’ve always had difficulty identifying where Neuschwanstein Castle was the main inspiration on Cinderella Castle. I just don’t see many similarities. By contrast, large sections of Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle are practically direct duplicates of Neuschwanstein’s towers, turrets and walls. Scaled down, of course.
