The newest Material Duplication Glitches for Tears of the Kingdom 1.2.0 rely on dropping things into the world, and this means you’re unfortunately bound to the world spawn limit on dropping items of around 21… but there is a way around it! With Dispenser storage, you’re able to bypass this limit. To perform this glitch, find a dispenser of your choice. Now, you’ll want to add in some non-zonai items. This is important - zonai items will not work with this as they will transform to zonai capsules.
When you’ve added enough, the door will not close. With the door opened up, lodge something in there so that items will get stuck and cannot spawn. This causes them to get stored. You can use either two fans or a stabilizer for this, or both. As long as something is blocking the door. Now you can duplicate items of your choice beyond the world spawn limit, and jam any overdose into the dispenser for storage! When you’re done, simply remove the structure blocking the entrance and get ready to start grabbing the flow of items, as they will still disappear if you let too many flow in at once without grabbing them!

Remember! This doesn't duplicate items on its own. It's used to bypass the overworld item limitations when using Material Duplication Glitches in 1.2.0 and 1.2.1, which use a trick that forces Link to throw an item from 0, duplicating it. Since this uses the overworld as a buffer, you can only gain 21 of an item this way, but the dispenser uses different memory slots to "remember" unspawned items.

Even in BOTW I was using dupe glitches to upgrade armors and I have absolutely done my fair share of this glitch and the 1.2.1 dupe glitch
For anyone planning to use the 1.2.1 dupe glitch right outside tarrey town in the construction area is perfect for it

So the whole thing is an addendum on existing duplication methods. Dispenser Storage is a way to bypass the world limit by about ~250 items so that you can duplicate items further in bulk.
A duplication method that does what you're looking for would be:
Version 1.0.0 to 1.1.1: Mid-air sort duplication - Get Link in a special airborne state, such as paragliding or shield surfing. Pause, then hold up to 5 items in the pause menu. Press Y and B at the same time to close the menu. This causes the items to resort and change locations, which makes the items drop from an invalid entry, thus duplicating them.
Version 1.1.2 and 1.2.0: Mid-air Throw duplication - Make sure you're only holding 1 of the item you're duplicating in your inventory. Hold an item ready to throw with R and selecting it with d-pad up, then walk off a ledge with the item in hand, ready to throw. While holding the item, press and hold d-pad up so you can select items. Let go of R so the item gets thrown, and simultaneously drop the item by pressing X to close out the item selection menu. This will cause the item to be thrown and dropped at the same time.
Version 1.2.1: Mid-air Throw Duplication (1.2.1 setup) - This one is a little more complicated. I have a short video here for it that hopefully explains it better:

The gist of it, is that it's the same setup as the 1.2.0 one but instead of the usual process when you walk off the ledge, hold d-pad up. Let go, then hold d-pad up again shortly after. Link will have moved his arm a bit. Let go of R, then let go of d-pad up and press it again very quickly after. This should cause the item to be at 0, but the ability to drop the item is now in place, allowing you to drop an additional copy. It's a lot easier to explain with the visual guide, but that's the way.
