2. Don't try to pick up undiscovered items when duplicating. @caspervnm27: I had just duplicated bomb flowers and then moved on to radishes. Somehow the bombs exploded cooking the radishes, which was a new item to me, and when I picked them up it completely softlocked my game.
3. About blood moon, if blood moon goes off at any point, you will enter cull state, but you can just go back to your horse by watching memories and continue on duping. Thanks to @Allesweter
4. You can move the "bundle" by hitting it with other items, just throw something at it and it will be moved...
5. If you happen to speak to a npc my accident while pressing zl to do the jump and link turned invisible again, do i have to start over the glitch?
No, just go back to the horse and jump on it, you will need to watch memories many times.
6. Having trouble with the horse feeding part?
Maybe try the horseless method or instead holding an apple, hold an egg and make it drop and break.
Or try this, after watching a memory, stay in the inventory page for a few seconds, then unpause and pause, this might help because people mentioned this and also I think this gives the game time to load the state Link currently is at.

I learnt a few things doing this. First, death doesn't stop you holding the items you want to duplicate. Second, putting the items away after reloading stops the glitch. That might have been because I hadn't performed it before the save, I haven't tested further

So I finally got this glitch to work. A couple notes if you're trying either of the Hetano village options that aren't mentioned in this video. Be careful not to accidentally talk to any NPCs while collecting your duped items as that will put you back in the cull state. Also, if an NPC walks over your weightless item that you dropped on the floor, that item will move simply from the NPC walking past it. Also, if you're in the Dye shop and duping items in front of the large tubs as shown in this video, the items will often fall into the tubs where you won't be able to pick them up, and effectively limiting the number of items you can dupe at one time. To fix that, just dupe something that will run or fly away, like frogs or ferries, and dupe enough of them so that the items in the tub will despawn.
On the tub part, you can just overflow over the 21 item limit and those in the tub will just vanish

@JaceOKami Unless they just keep falling into the tub. A lot of the items would launch themselves into, or even behind the tub.
I'm so happy we have a good alternative to the Dupe glitch at launch for all versions. I updated to 1.2.1 and didn't consider the fact that it might patch Glitches.
No matter what Nintendo does there will always be someone who can figure out how to duplicate something.

Thank you VERY much for the video and explanation of exceptions :) I'm able to get this almost every time now. In castle town, for brealable items, try duplicatring them on the bundle instead of where you dropped your invisible item or look for an area where the items will just drop instead of fly. (In the doorway worked for me)
Did your apple appear again after watching another memory or is that normal😭
@@myamccoy5773 When I failed to get it right I stopped holding the apple and repeated that step so I believe it did not reappear. I hope I understood you correctly.
If you mean, was I still holding my apple when I got it right, then yes.
Learning the horseless setup was easier than expected and also feels a LOT more consistent. However I'd suggest to do it in the bedroom to the right (below the stairs) as there's no people in there ever so you don't accidently cull yourself again. Just use the nightdesk for the setup there.
I'm having SO much trouble with the egg method. It drops maybe 5% of the time, and every time it does drop, it hovers above the desk instead of breaking on it. What am I doing wrong? 😭

Thank you so much for this video ! It took me a while to learn it but now I can do it in just a few try everytime (and I am very bad at glitching so it's really impressive). And it work wonders. The only thing is that the blood moon did not put me back in cull state it simply made the weightless bundle disapear so I had do to the process all over again but it wasn't so difficult.
And if you do the duping in lookout landing, I even could do the eggs and milk and everything by the same method than the fairy. Spam A and dupe only 2 to 3 at a time and it worked perfectly.

This method is sooo much easier than the one in the the video from a month ago at lookout landing! I never wanted to feed a horse another apple as long as I lived until I tried this method. This method was about half of the time it took to do the lookout landing bridge area, which failed 50% of the time for me since I got stuck in full state permanently
Why does it require an advanced degree in finger knotting to enjoy this game? There was nothing wrong with 1.1.1.
Thanks for the video(s)! It seems in every version of this there are some annoyances with the bundle floating around, out the door, under tables, etc. or NPCs that get in the way, so I brainstormed to solve it.
For the lookout landing variation:
1. Before feeding your horse an apple, hop on and off a steering stick so you can use your ultra hand ability.
2. Grab some of the thin beams from the nearby construction platform - I used 5. Fuse them together.
3. Carry them into the room and unfuse them.
4. Attach 2 length wise and lay them horizontally behind the doorway.
5. Attach 2 more length wise and attach horizontally to the far left of the first fusion. They should form an L.
6. Use the last one to ensure there is as little gap as possible between both ends of the L and the wall. The idea is that these are braced and won’t move from the force of large dupes popping out.
7. Feed the horse the apple and drop your invisible apple into the corner that is blocked off by the wood fusion. The bundle will not be able to escape, and no more dupes flying across the room!
Notes:
-the wood is small enough to walk over through the doorway with the apple. Originally I tried stacking two beams on top of the other and you cannot walk over them.
-sometimes larger dupes will force their way under the beams and pop them up a little. I just hold R and collect the ones that do this as fast as possible.
-if for some reason your glitch fully breaks and you can’t re-cull yourself (happened to me), fuse a dragon horn/scale/claw/fang to the beams and walk back to the like-like. If you don’t, your beam brace will de-spawn. Also be sure not to save/reload at the like-like.

Awesome Video! I found duplicating in the hateno village a llot easier than lookout landing. Althought Hatno village took waayy longer to setup, it was faster and easier
Yeah you can also try the egg method, it´s easy to set up!
5:59 If you're having a hard time with the dropping of the apple so the horse eats it, after watching memory, hit +, then do the double + to unpause and pause again quickly, hold the apple, and then double + to unpause and pause again quick. If Link is still visible behind the item screen, then unhold with X, then hold again, and repeat the double + to unpause and pause quickly. Repeat. Also, when you properly drop the apple, it will sparkle. If you didn't do it correctly, sometimes it drops but no sparkle and kind of floats in the air slightly. If this happens, pause, unhold, watch memory, and try again.

Tip for something I just did: if you forget to get Link back out of cull state by getting on your horse until after you're already started duping, you can still get on her with the X button like if you'd done that step first- it doesn't mean you need to start over.
Edit: also if you accidentally tab over to another part of the menu or something, watching a memory is guaranteed to cull you again so you can start over at the "get the horse eat the apple" step. I recommend duping a bunch of apples first if your butterfingers are as bad as mine lol

hi bangoash, two of them are easier to perform than the one in the last video (new tricks and tips, no sfotlock), and one of them is a new way of doing this where you don´t need a horse!.
But they are all refering to the same glitch
So does this solve the getting soft lock/permanently culled issue that happens when crossing the bridge with the previous method?

The first time I tried to set up this glitch, it took around 2 and a half hours and made me want to rip out all of my hair 😂 Now that I know I can keep doing the unpuase, pause, hold an egg thing multiple times per memory, it takes 10-15 minutes at most. I even got the egg to break first try the other day and went and ran an IRL victory lap lol. Thanks for all the tips Yang and comment section!

I’ve been having more consistency on the apple part by pausing 2 times in a row in quick succession instead of just one time. So I go to the items menu, unpause, pause, unpause, pause and the apple drops at the 5th attempt at most. And this method is by far less annoying than the original one where I soft locked the game 90% of the time when trying to cross the bridge

I will give that a try cause I am stuck at that step and the one time I got it to work, when I got to the corner I accidentally opened the item menu instead of memories so it prevented me from dropping the apple.

Confirming today this still works. His steps are easy to follow, but the hard part is the timing. Although, if you mess up. Reload the save you did from the first time and you can keep trying if you run out of sticks. Goodluck people!

When doing this dup glitch can I use various items? Like while holding one item I can hold 2 opals and 2 flints? I tried to do it but it messed the glitch, but I’m still not sure if it could still work. (Hateno glitch)

One more scenario, after thousands of times trying to feed the horse at the right moment, you see the apple drop on the floor without flying, and horse try to fix his position to eat the apple, lightning suddenly hit's a tree next to the horse and electrocute the horse and the horse runs far far away.........
Can anyone confirm beyond a doubt that this works in 1.2.1? This video doesn't really show specifically what version of the game they are on, just that it "supposedly" works on all versions. I have been trying this for over an hour and can't even get first step to work, getting the likelike to swallow me and into the cull state. I have tried stepping onto the steering stick at several points in the likelikes attack, and I only ever get knocked back and take damage. Don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
I am on 1.2.1 and did this glitch. It's really just a timing thing, if the likelike hits you, then you tried too early. Try to wait a few more frames.
Getting culled is easy I can't get the horse to eat the apple, is there a specific or precise location for the horse, I can't get that part.@@JaceOKami
@@Odnez i don't think so, it's really just rng to hit the right moment because going invisible after unpausing varies for each try. all i do is try to stick to one frame and repeat until success. can be first try, can take 5 minutes. just 2 things: the horse can't step into the shop, so you need to be far enough outside and touch grass. and if the apple drops, wait a few seconds, horse can take up to 10 seconds before it realizes there's an apple. hope that helps.

I check Metroid Dread, I find it interesting and it gave me Mega man vibe, I don´t know, I used to play Mega man and Metroid Dread´s game mechanism looks like it, I will play it more when I find more time, it´s not easy to juggle daytiime job with all this stuff lol.

This worked perfectly! it took me a while to drop the apple but after that it was amazing. I do have one question though. after i finished the glitched and wanted to stop duping, i saved and restarted my game, but now whenever i go to hold something it will show that i am holding nothing in the pause menu. is there any way i can fix this?

Omg a million times like!!!! I was having touble with the consistency of the horse 5x dupe from a previous episode. This had a bit more set up but is by far way more consistent and doesn't require "set up" for each 5 items.
Once you get into that final duping state, you can just keep going and going. If you ness up the throwing/pick up part, you simply juat try again from that part.
Did anyone had a problem that link can go to throwing stance? I did this glitch, fine for a while, and when I doing this glitch again, link can go to throwing stance and cannot get the duplicated item anymore

Ive tried the lookout landing method a handful of times and it worksout flawlessly until it comes to getting back on my horse inorder to uncull myself. Is there a a trick to it or something. I swap my X and A buttons when i initially started my game so i use A to mount but it just wont let me mount my horse and its so frustrating because everything else worked up until this point and im so freaking close.

Also if you put on stealth clothes its easier for the like like to not see you and focus on the control stick whistle and jump to wake the like like up to see the stick
good tip, I would like to add that whistling will make the horse come to you, so be careful!

You can actually walk your horse inside little castle room instead of outside for guaranteed horse eating first apple then drop invisible apple and hop on horse walk it out and go back in and start dropping

I’m completely numbed each time I see the old y b dupe glitch I remember how I was just too late to turn auto updates off on my switch.
Someone probably has already posted this but figured wth,if you get tired and feel like you cant hold r any longer you can also L like you are going to use your ability wheel just L and nothing else,then after a few mins of rest you can do the steps to jump and hold up and r to select your item to throw again and then continue duping hope this saves your hands from knotting up😅

⚠️READ THIS IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH LOOKOUT LANDING DUPE⚠️
If you are duping exploding items at lookout landing and the supersonic glitch happens, walk out side at a safe distance from the explosion then dupe it, its will stay in one group while your duplicating them. Note that as soon as you walk into the tower again and try to dupe the item, super sonic will be active, so stay outside if you dont want to walk everywhere to pick up any items.
Ps: this works with all duplicating items
that´s great, I did not know that staying far away would avoid the slingshot effect
if you get on a steering stick after getting eaten by the like-like but before getting culled you will get access to the ability wheel again

Yes. As you pick them up you can increase the bundle
yeah, you can hold 4 different items and dup them
To clear the glitch without restarting the game: Mount a horse to clear the cull glitch. Hold an apple once, it should reject the hold and put it back. Hold the apple again and drop it.

hi, if it gets blown away, it means that you held the apple too late, next time try to unpause and pause immediately, faster!

while doing it and getting bomb flowers if link paragliding for a little bit like five seconds the game bugs and glitch's you out your body for some reason

No I duplicated items I only had 1 or 2 of. You just do the same steps with less items until you dupe enough to dupe 4 at a time

The likelike sees the steering wheel, I get on it a split second before it gets eaten, I get eaten with it, I get spit out and I’m not invisible. Any ideas why? Hateno and lookout landing have the same issues.

hiii, you can go any of those two locations, you can still go to Hateno after completing the regiional phenomena quest
I think he was just meaning that you can't do lookout until you complete 1 regional phenomenon, because the royal hidden passage isn't open until then, so hateno is the only option with a like like prior to completing a regional phenomenon, but is also still an option after too. Hope that makes sense!

i've only just found out what the music is. it is the ridgeland tower from botw the bird-man stuff. its like paraglide for rupees and blss for more.
With the like like dup in lookout, when I glide by my character goes off screen and the like likes can’t grab me again and I don’t know how to undo the attempt at the dup glitch I didn’t go all the way through with it so that may be why? Like if I have an attempt where I all the way through Will I be all good?

@@Lofixz-cn3oy7jk3v so I think I warped away potentially a few times and it seemed to work. Idk what I did inbetween warps but I warped got off the game and got on that’s all I remember and then it was fixed

I kept getting the apple to work but my horse my kept walking towards it then randomly turning like it couldn’t reach it
hi, maybe try to place your horse farther, this might fix it
FYI Blood moons will nto despawn the dropped item but it will put you back into the cull state and need you to remount a horse

It's not working for me. When go and try to hold the items I want to duplicate, link just holds them normally. I did the culling with the like-like, I fed the apple to the horse, I did everything as instructed, and it just doesn't work.

Im trying to get back to my horse to uncull after dropping the invisible apple, but when i approach my horse, it wont let me mount. any way to fix this?
Edit: I tried to warp out to fix it at it soft locked my game. so if your having the same problem, dont try and warp. cant move my camera, or use -/+.

This glitch has been documented to work on 1.2.0 so I wa so thankful that it works on 1.2.1

i cant tell if the glitch is patched or if im having a skill issue but no matter my timing the like like wont eat me and will always knock me back no matter what, does the positioning matter or do i have to just be in range of it because ive been at this for hours now 😅

hi, the likelike part is very tricky, but this glitch has not been patched though.
I’m sure once you learn all the steps it’s not that bad but I just want a glitch to make my game version go back to 1.0 without deleting my save files. That was the best duping glitch ever.

After i drop the apple, can i uncull myself with a steering stick instead of sitting on the horse?
yes, although it's more difficult, because you need to do the jump-hold thing while culled by watching memories, check the method without horse
spoke to an npc my accident while pressing zl to do the jump and link turned invisible again, do i have to start over the glitch?
just go back to the horse and hop on it, need to watch some memories though.
you should skip the whole horse part, and just make a separate video for the Egg method, it's way more reliable than the horse as position and weather wont effect your attempts.
and you're free to use alot more places to do the glitch, ive really liked using the hateno house you use in the video but using the upstairs room, that way i wont engage the npcs in convo when they change shifts :P

hi, you did nothing wrong, it´s just that the timing is not right, the apple should fall and bounce a bit, instead of floating near the floor, so try again pls
Is there anyway to make the horse method more consistent. I can do everything with relative ease except for make the horse eat the apple . Regardless of where I put it , the horse has only eaten the apple once .
to be honest, I think the most consistent method is the one showed in the video because the uncull time is random...
Would there be any reason why the horse wouldn’t eat the apple/ notice it’s there ? Or is there a better spot ? I can drop the apple consistently I just find the horse eating it is the hardest part . Video is great as this was my first time doing a glitch and excluding the horse bit it’s been excellent 😊
@@austinpapadatos3367 hii, yes, sometimes it takes longer for the horse to notice the apple, if it notices it at all. I believe the location does have an effect, try to place the horse farther.
Also, make sure the apple sparkles (and doesn't float). if not, the horse will never know it's there because it's technically still in Links hands.
@@austinpapadatos3367 I think one of the reasons could be that the apple that falls must be shiny, sometimes it´s not shiny and the horse won´t eat it and you have to do it again
If you drop the invisible apple on the second floor above the pots than you won’t have to deal with any NPC’s. It takes a little longer to get up there than what is shown in this video. Remember to keep in mind the Apple will roll a little bit. One of the first times I did it. the apple is in a corner up against the wall so everything that spawned got shot out side. It still works but it takes longer to walk around and pick everything up. Plus you have to worry about accidentally talking to any NPC’s..

A nice sweet spot in hateno village is the coordinates (3398, -2142, 0121) the apple won’t blow away, and the horse can eat the apple

If I didn’t do a type it shouldn’t, it’s right outside the dye shop, and there’s a corner so even if the apple gets knocked by the wind the corner is sort of a safety net so it won’t fly away, and 9/10 times the horse should eat it because sometimes the horse won’t eat it, but I do not know why it won’t eat the apple if it does do that

hii, yes, I would say when you do the unpause-pause after watchign a memory, make sure you do it as fast as possible!

@@yellowtourmaline I ended up giving up with the apple method and used the egg method. Works better and I've actually gotten it to work with that one. Hope you have worked it out.
@@yellowtourmaline I ended up just using the method that breaks an egg. It can take several tries to get the egg to break when you drop it but I've gotten it to work for me. Hope you manage to get whichever method you use to work for you.
@@DekuSimpBunny when you do the egg method, do you have to hold the egg as the "1 item" while you duplicate everything else? or can it be an apple?
@@WhatDoINameMyChannel I think it has to be one egg but I can test it out with an apple. I haven't tried using anything other than the egg once I got it to work.
As much as i want this to work for me, i think it takes from the game, however i would love to replicate some weapons because weapons that break are stupid
