I love watching this show every chance I get. The interviewer/host is pleasant, asks the right questions, and the designers are most gracious when they open up their homes to the public. Great design!
That kitchen gave me goosebumps !!! Big natural light a big vase of branches !!!! Love it !!!! Overall the home and content definitely in my top 10 !!!!
the exterior of "the house," was built and (gasp! destroyed after filming). it was literally a shell--completely empty inside!! it was located in the State of Washington. the interior, was also created by them, but it was all located in a studio set in LA. it was all fake. even a majority of flowers and blossoms you saw both inside and outside were made of paper and/or silk. it's absolutely incredible, that they managed to make it look like a real house with both the interior and exterior coinciding. Practical Magic is, hands down, my favorite movie EVER and even if the house was fake, I think it's one of the most beautiful, magical places I've ever seen. ✨🍃 I must've watched that movie a million times. it never gets old and it never will. when someone can create something that manages to become timeless, they definitely have talent. love these two. 😊

Next to Ken Fulk's weekend home in Provincetown, this is my very favourite of the homes you've shared videos of. This couple's creative talent and personal taste is breathtakingly lovely. I'm partial to unusual floorplans in houses and apartments and I do wonder why most people don't play around with these lazy conventions a bit more. Next to great lighting, it's the most magical way to create real atmosphere. Thank you so much for the two videos I referred to here, I've watched them both multiple times.
Yaasss yassss yassss 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Finally !!! Designers who have an ethos and not a particular style! Good designers should be able to reflect their clients wishes and styles and maximise it. Not push their own style into every home. I want that art supply cabinet ! I want those library shelves ! I want that album ! Absolutely love how they can go from maximilist coloured dramatic rooms to Serene neutrals and don't pooh pooh any type of aesthetic. So beautifully done this is the first time I've seen my vision and ethos in another designer
I'm delighted to hear it!! They are so incredibly talented - and as I've written on the blog (quintessenceblog.com/at-home-and-at-rw-guild-with-roman-and-williams/), they will be designing the new British Galleries at the Metropolitan Museum opening next year!
My descriptive words are all backed up in my throat, and they feel as if they are climbing over each other in a fluid race to describe this captivating apartment and magical store! My thoughts were reeling as I watched spellbound.. It is akin to being design drunk and I want to drink more of this creative libation, to the point of excess.. The long walk through the interior of the apartment seems as if it will never end and you don't want it to. The divine walk within the store where every thing is cotton candy to the senses and it feels like you are on a spinning carousel, you never want to stop. I just want to spend a non stop weekend in the store and a lifetime in the lovely apartment that generously gives my soul a warm hug.. These places are as they should be...

@@marquamfurniture Hi John. I totally agree. I've watched this one so many times, often pausing to study the rich details in every corner of their intelligently curated, atmospheric rooms. Love their apartment, gorgeous. The thing that makes me laugh is Rob Lowe's love of real estate and design versus poor Nicholas Cage's real estate history. They're like chalk and cheese. Cage's nightmarish interest in acquiring huge homes and then not knowing what the hell to do with them compared to Rob Lowe's ability to finish or oversee a project so beautifully, from bathroom taps to landscaping. Cote de Texas blog just put up an epic post detailing Mr Lowe's history in homes. I couldn't help wincing and then laughing to compare it to Mr Cage's messy history...and his terminally horrible bad taste. ;)
