Very refreshing to see an agent make what should be obvious, JA is not USA, Kingston is not NYC. The winds of change are blowing ppl, cheap money, gov spending and remittances have potential of drying up very soon. Im not saying dont invest, I have and looking at a property rn, but I go specifically for dead leff that have been sitting on market for months, normally fixer uppers and JA is FULL of them and imo with inflation in US, Canada and UK and interest rates climbing alot of ppl in US gonna be trying to sell mummy and daddy house and they dont know the value. I encourage young persons, look for older single fam homes, get your hands dirty and fix it up and if its dead leff, dont be afraid to go wayyyyyy below asking.

Great video, I’m trying to buy a Airbnb in Jamaica🇯🇲. Here in the US it’s very easy to buy properties, I do short term rentals, househack, and Airbnb here, but it seems harder to do in Jam.
It’s not that it’s hard it’s just that it’s limited stock and a lot of buyers. House hacking is something I’m seeking to venture into also. Airbnb can be done but the tourism market is coming back slowly because of the virus. Thank you for watching also.
@@DemetressFairman " A lot of buyers", you say, but not sure where are these many buyers?? Seems to me it is a buyers market where you have numerous sellers flooding the market but a very limited amount of people who could afford ?
Not sure he gave you the right advice as to why it's easier to purchase in the UNITED STATES compared to JAMAICA which isn't as easy !!! The fact is that US buyers will always have considerable access to financing in the USA just like the United Kingdom, the cost of borrowing and capital will be low because United Kingdom and USA financial institutions are in a far better position to lend !! As a result it will be easier to qualify for mortgages in the USA AND UNITED KINGDOM and whereby citizens in these countries have far better job security than in JAMAICA
@@johnbrown-um3lf I actually think it's a seller's market in Jamaica right now. Alot of persons interested in buying well-priced properties, especially in Kingston and surrounding areas.
My wife is from Jamaica.. we own several rental properties in the U.S.. we brought some land in St. Mary to build on, but I would like to know more about purchasing single family residences and converting the rooms into Apartments like Marc was mentioning.

Hi I’m looking to do this too. Have you got your foot in the door yet? I’d love to know how you did it or any advice you can give.
