    I really like your reviews because you take such care in showing the drawing experience itself. The strokes, the diagonal lines, the dots, joining separate lines and all these tests you do are very valuable information. Thank You!
    Seeing your tests of these two models side-by-side makes all the difference.
    What did you think of the texture of the screens of each of them, Teoh?

    Thanks for this! I have the Huion 19 14k and while I learned to live with it, it had some quirks that needed getting used to. The lines on my standard pen were badly wobbly- apparently the pen was faulty out of the box. Luckily I bought it from a physical store and could claim warranty. But even now, with Mac from 2017 running Monterey, the pen was giving me horseshoe strokes ( the hooks at the end of each stroke, yes?). Had to switch to my Windows computer to get decent functioning strokes.
    Now on Windows: Even more annoying, sometimes tapping the screen with the pen nib won't register as a mouse press- I have to default to a mouse to click on something. Also, the screen feels super saturated, I'm not getting accurate colors on my screen.
    The final thing that bothers me about the Huion is that it's fuzzy and feels dim...not at all what I expected from a 4k display. That pop-up pen menu also irritates me! I don't know how to disable it (I may need to go into the drivers again). And speaking of which...the drivers were a pain to install on the Mac!
    I was upgrading from a first edition Huion Kamvas 22 Pro, which was only FHD but was wonderfully bright and had great color saturation.

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  24 дні тому +1

      If you're using Mac, the fuzzy-ness could due to MacOS's inability to handle UI scaling properly. You can install BetterDisplay app to handle the UI scaling instead.

    Can only speak for Kamvas 19 pro which i got yesterday at a ridiculous bargain on Black friday(week in europe). I'm not going back to Wacom. Had a cintiq 22 before.It's like moving forward 8-10 years in terms of technology and quality. This review is very accurate in my experience too. Only thing i was worried about was the blurriness which honestly.. is not a big deal at all. I can't notice it unless i put my eye very close to the screen. Great product. Not sure if Wacom can even compete anymore in the low / mid segment.

    Great review, as usual Teoh. I have the Huion Kanvas 19 4k and it is excellent. It is my first pen monitor, so I have nothing else to compare. It works perfectly, the lines are great, the colors are wonderful and the touch capabilities are perfect for me.

    I had bought the Kamvas 19, noticed a sale on the XPPen 19 and ended up saving $300 and returning the Kamvas. The Kamvas screen was a deal breaker being too blurry for me, but the bezels were smaller and the build quality was a bit better on the accessories like the drawing glove and pencil case. However, the software and keybindings with the bluetooth pads i found to be frustrating and not intuitive in comparison to XPPen. I also didn't find myself needing the touch, and I come from drawing on an iPad and this being my first pen tablet.

    I have the xppen 16 pro gen 2. This is pretty much just it's bigger brother? I love it. I don't know how Wacom even stays in business anymore. Wouldn't be surprised if Samsung keeps Wacon in business by licensing the tech for their devices. The other brands have mostly caught up in quality.

      @@evengolding5024 not OP but I've been using XPpen 16 pro gen 2 for about 3 months now and its perfect for me! The colours are really accurate to my main screen (which is really close to printing out art prints) after calibration. It was an upgrade from the Artist 2nd gen 12 inch in terms of colour accuracy, size and screen resolution for me as I felt like the pixels tended to be a little too much on the Artist 2nd gen series. hope that helps!

    After using Huion pro 19 for a year (bought it in october 2023 on TaoBao), I decided to use screen protector. There is some wear down from the stylus visible, but it's not critical. Overall it's a great tablet and the touch support on windows is an amazing addition to the smooth workflow. The only flaw that I found is the screen sharpness, it's a little blurry.

    Thanks for the review! May be a while until I get a larger pen display, but have began to inform myself. Both seem nice with their pros and cons. However strange, and rather poor, that both market the P3 coverage as being 98% while it’s as “low” as just 83-85%. You seem to know what you are doing. But I was thinking, could this possible be due to some setting or calibration reading error? Sometimes it seems like calibrators or settings either restrict readings or usage of the full gamut. AdobeRGB coverage also was a few % less.

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  21 день тому +1

      Not uncommon for colour support to be less than advertised unless it's from a company that is well known for colour accuracy. Measured brightness for such pen displays is also consistently lower by 10-20% compared to advertised and I've noticed this pattern for years.

    • @hakanlundberg

      I don’t see improvement with latency. So it’s just the animation of the line appearing and chasing the pen tip that is smoother.
