@@MericaAdventures I found a little over 3 grams from the crack, mostly tiny nuggets, found just under a quarter ounce this month from the area nearby. Mostly short days due to poor weather.

Looks like a fun hobby. Wish I lived in an area where you could find gold nuggets. I've still got my Lobo S.T. Probably wouldn't hold a candle to these newer gold machines but it would be fun to try.
The the DD is shieldedIt’s not more sensitive in the center and put the square signal down in the ground.
Mono Coil gives you a cone Signal and the edges are more sensitive
Nice! Love your videos. At 2k per ounce, you would need to go out about 25x with those results to pay off that axiom, not including your gas ect. So it's still not very lucrative, but we do it for fun. A prospector actually turning a profit is extremely rare unfortunately. The dopamine when you see the shiny is what you actually earn. Good times.
Definitely not very lucrative at all but a lot of fun! Heck, most hobbies don't even pay back 😂
This video only shows what Matt found and the one nugget that came out of the crack, the crack was loaded, I spent three days sitting on that spot digging and detecting as fast as I could as the sun set. Like someone has littered gold everywhere.
Found your channel tonight, very good job on it. The Axiom is very impressive. I’ve been detecting for about 30 years. I live in the Grass Valley area and hunt a lot of the pits around there. Started with a Whites Gold Master and upgraded to Minelabs, I’ve had them all except for the 7000. I have the GPX 6000 right now and am curious how the Axiom compares, looks pretty close to me.
The axiom seems like a very trusty option.
Is that an ancient riverbed?
what about 16 inch dd coil for axiom go deeper then the 13 inch

I bought an Axiom around March 12. I've been out twice with it and found my first 3 nuggets. It's my first PI. Enjoy watching your videos. What's your settings?
That's great! Congrats on your new machine and finding gold. My settings are:
Mode: Fine
Speed: Slow
Ground Track: Off (ground balance often!)
Sensitivity: As high as I can get it without too much noise. Between 6 - 8
Threshold: Turn sensitivity down until there is no signal noise, then turn threshold volume up until you can barely hear it or whatever volume you like, then return sensitivity settings to your liking.

Really cool to see. I've just started researching these.. haven't detected for 40 years when I was a kid. I was looking at the AT Pro.. would it have had any chance detecting any of that gold or is the Axiom on a whole different level? I'm kinda assuming it is because of the price.

This area is publicly known and has been pounded, but Matt and the 🪓 have been finding gold in spots I know I have detected repeatedly with four detectors over the decades. And like me, Matt digs and digs until he finds gold.

I hunted the most productive areas with the 6000 before I met Matt at the nugget hunt.
