Swampert and Greninja (or Grenoobja as i like to call it) function way too differently to be comparable. Swampert is a mix of a tank and Swift Swim mega-evolved sweeper, whereas Greninja is an all-out attacking glass cannon. Swampert can take a lot of punishment, but is slow and hits moderately hard while Greninja gets its ass kicked by any semi-powerful hit but is annoyingly fast and hits stupidly hard. There are times when one will be infinitely better than the other. For example, anything faster than Greninja just beats it outright (with the list of mons in that category growing...) while Swampert will eat the hit and hit back hard. Grass types will destroy Swampert, but Greninja can Protean its way past them. Many variables, different roles.
Toxic, Infestation, Rest, Shell Smash Contrary, Leftovers I remember one match where both me and my friend brought Shuckles with exactly this set and we stalled for over 30 minutes, that was... fun...
Shuckle wasn't included in USUM because Ultra Necrozma wouldn't have stood a chance. Seriously, shuckle with power split would just add on to the long list of cheeses for the fight

This episode makes me laugh cause it reminds me of a time I bred a perfect IV, perfect nature, shiny, contrary Shuckle. I would put him on the field, boost his def/sp.def and just wait as my opponent just struggled to do any damage to me. And since I was playing against friends (non competitively) they learned to hate my Shuckle. A normal 5 minute battle turned into 35 minutes. They were even using Arceus and any other powerful pokemon they had but they never dealt more than 20 damage. Which leftovers healed. My shuckles name was Sonic btw lol.

there's no "potential" this is a hypothetical equation, that is impossible to ever actually pull off, no level 1 ledyba, combee or yanma is ever going to survive to the the 5th rollout for that to even happen. So no there is no "potential" to deal that much damage since it is never going to happen

I like to use contrary Shuckle on BSS singles open ladder to dunk on people that have Ubers that aren't well thought out. It's solo'd Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre and and Mega Rayquaza because my opponents weren't smart enough to go into Kyogre until it was too late.

Pretty sure its not mold as in molding, but as in fungus. Thats why most pokedex entries for shuckle reference its ability to ferment berries, and why it gets a lot of poison moves, because it is a fungus living in a rock

@@dandrecollier800 Tierings are based on usage rates in said tier, if lets say tyranitar drops below the 4.26% usage rate threshhold it would drop to UU, If a pokemon is banned out of a tier for being to powerful it will go to the teir above but if it doesnt have the high enough usage rate it drops to the borderline tier in between, In this instance shuckle hit over a 5% usage rate in OU mainly on gimmick teams which by the power of technicality is enough for it to shoot up to OU
I don't think I would want it to have an evolution just for that... It needs some attack. I guess a good evolution can be that it just sheds its shell and evolves to be stronger and faster, so it's defenses lower but its other stats become higher. And it also should get recover so its shuckle form becomes unkillable :)

I feel like you should do a weather themed Pokémon either a starter like Politoed or Ninetales, Abomasnowor a user like Kingdra, Walreign, or Victreebel. Honestly I'd really like a series of you talking about themed teams through the gens like Sun Hail Rain Gravity Trick Room etc. I know they didn't really have a climax til BW I still think they'd be interesting to learn about though. Don't do Sandstorm first because it's the most generic I feel like. I think Victreebel deserves a shot.

being a UU staple til SM isn't exactly low tier. but it doesn't take a Knock Off anymore, that's pretty much it, or anything with physical priority. Glass Cannon that doesn't melt everything in it's path means it can't break into OU

Jake Everett Terpening I prefer latias to trick a choice scarf onto opponents like ferrothorn. As far as low tier pokes go I use primeape in ou. Hes my favorite pokemon and true trainers try to win with their favorites.
Jake Everett Terpening I keep looking for good walls. I used to use slowbro because he could raise both defenses and sp atk. I moved to tangrowth with sleep powder leech seed infestation and giga drain. I considered cryogonal but I couldn't really figure out how to make it work.
Fun fact that unfortunately wasn't mentioned in this video. A Power Trick Shuckle actually won the Junior Finals of the 2009 VGC Nashville Regionals. It was supported by a Smeargle nicknamed Paint.exe and managed to sweep a ton of battles using gyro ball and rock slide, and ended up winning the entire Juniors division. I was there participating in the Seniors division and me and my fellow competitors were laughing our asses off watching this Shuckle shred through whole teams of OU mons after it was set up.
This is so relevant for me; I am waiting patiently for the Indigo Disk DLC (part 2) because Smeargle is going to be reunited with Shuckle. Can't wait to see what this team can do with Tera-typing >_

I really think thr one major flaw with FSG is he didn't originally consider how a Pokemon works with other team members in his older videos. Do Breloom, my favourite pokemon to play. Super interesting typing, moveset and history with abilities changing it playstyle during its lifetime in OU.
As of Gen8 Shuckle is an incredible support Pokémon. It’s the most reliable sticky web+stealth rock setter. It also has toxic obviously and rocktomb. 9/10 Pokémon
Fun fact: That lead set with dual hazards is so good that it is OU currently. Not that it is even remotely too strong for even PU but that set is so potent to boost monsters like Hydregion and Bisharp running around that it got enough usage to get into OU.
Shuckle is very competitive and here's why •Shuckle can know rest •Shuckle with contrary and shell smash with leftovers can wall teams •Shuckle can know power split opponent Pokemon will deal very little damage to it once it used power split •Shuckle can learn guard split also, In 2v2 you can raise your other Pokemon defenses to an absurd level if used it on correct Pokemon (say Ash Greninja)

I think changing the base stats of shukle to: HP:80 Attack:10 Defence:200 SP.Attack:10 SP.Defence:200 Speed:5 And last give it recover and stats curing move like heal bell or something
Gene 1 and 2 he went uncontested. After that special split nerf he got less love but powerful trainers knew how to use him. The addition of abilities is what sank him,that and his move pool never really got that diverse.
Probably one of the worst Pokémon in existence. It has a signature move that can heal the opponent. It's a Rapid Spinner that's 4x weak to Stealth Rock. It has horrible stats all around, and a crappy movepool to boot.

being a UU staple til SM isn't exactly low tier. but it doesn't take a Knock Off anymore, that's pretty much it, or anything with physical priority. Glass Cannon that doesn't melt everything in it's path means it can't break into OU
TheEagleNut yeah it's kind of sad how OP SM is. The things in RU are pretty much BWs UU. I guess it's not really anything new that the newest game takes over OU.

Jake Everett Terpening I prefer latias to trick a choice scarf onto opponents like ferrothorn. As far as low tier pokes go I use primeape in ou. Hes my favorite pokemon and true trainers try to win with their favorites.
Jake Everett Terpening I keep looking for good walls. I used to use slowbro because he could raise both defenses and sp atk. I moved to tangrowth with sleep powder leech seed infestation and giga drain. I considered cryogonal but I couldn't really figure out how to make it work.

Fun fact that unfortunately wasn't mentioned in this video. A Power Trick Shuckle actually won the Junior Finals of the 2009 VGC Nashville Regionals. It was supported by a Smeargle nicknamed Paint.exe and managed to sweep a ton of battles using gyro ball and rock slide, and ended up winning the entire Juniors division. I was there participating in the Seniors division and me and my fellow competitors were laughing our asses off watching this Shuckle shred through whole teams of OU mons after it was set up.
This is so relevant for me; I am waiting patiently for the Indigo Disk DLC (part 2) because Smeargle is going to be reunited with Shuckle. Can't wait to see what this team can do with Tera-typing >_

I really think thr one major flaw with FSG is he didn't originally consider how a Pokemon works with other team members in his older videos. I've moticed he does mention it more oftne in his newer videos and I feel like if this was remade he would definitely mention it for Shuckle.

As of Gen8 Shuckle is an incredible support Pokémon. It’s the most reliable sticky web+stealth rock setter. It also has toxic obviously and rocktomb. 9/10 Pokémon

Fun fact: That lead set with dual hazards is so good that it is OU currently. Not that it is even remotely too strong for even PU but that set is so potent to boost monsters like Hydregion and Bisharp running around that it got enough usage to get into OU.

Gene 1 and 2 he went uncontested. After that special split nerf he got less love but powerful trainers knew how to use him. The addition of abilities is what sank him,that and his move pool never really got that diverse.
