    G'day Mark and greetings from Tasmania Australia, Great job not easy fitting a new tailgate especially to an older Ute . Pretty good price for a new tailgate good one regards John

    we lined our pickups with plywood so they would take the knocks and bangs from stuff rolling around in there,the correct panels were more expensive and far less impact resistant ,as usual a well explained vlog of which will inspire many of your subscribers giving them bucket loads of confidence.

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  4 роки тому +1

      The problem with doing that around here is the plywood and dirt that gets under it creates a moisture trap witch can accelerate rust

    Good stuff! I installed a new aftermarket tailgate on a Ramcharger years ago. It rusted in less than 1 year...over the winter really. Do with what you have. Good ingenuity! It really makes the pickup look much better! 🤩

    If you can't fix it with a hammer it must be an electrical problem. GOOD JOB, Ezra! A-PLUS and GBWYall!

    It doesnt take long to have a small fortune in the bits and pieces. im sure i would have lost lots of cargo from my truck bed if i didnt have a tailgate.

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  4 роки тому +1

      yeah no idea why i waited 20+ years to finally put a tailgate on that truck...lol i suppose back when it was taken off i didn't have the money to replace it and then its been off the road for a while till some what recently.

    • @the.porter.productions
      @the.porter.productions 4 роки тому

      Those bits and pieces add up! I’ve never had that good of luck with those repop parts. They seem to rust quickly. I’ve learned the hard way, I guess. His project turned out pretty well.

  • @speedandmarine9066
    @speedandmarine9066 4 роки тому +1

    Makes a much better parts chaser with the tailgate on it. It might not be as fast as the jag, but it sure is a lot easier to get the greasy diff cores in the bed rather than out of the back seat!

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  4 роки тому +2

      iv also got a f350 and a chevy 2500 with a service body on it. but i still find it nice to use this one if your just making a quick run into town for some smaller parts or something.

    Hey there,
    I appreciate the video on what y'all call a tacoma. We call them a Hilux here in Australia!
    Great reliable vehicles. ( I own a 1999 model) so when can we see some more on old Red??
    Can't wait to see it again.
    Cheers from Sydney Australia.
