The Rossi r92 is a good choice, very reliable utility tool, I have the triple black model in 38/357...and have been using it in adverse conditions and always worked flawlessly. Very convenient while hunting in thick brush. I added a red dot . Thanks for the video.
Wow that sling is pretty what brand is it.. I was looking at that exact rifle today.. same color and caliber.. not sure yet about the large loop lever though
Congratulations on a nice lever rifle. Lever guns are a lot of fun and they are faster than people think. The nice thing about the .357 version is that it's one of the calibers in which you can share your ammo with your sidearm. Best of luck going forward.
@@modernnmann1 Is that a scout scope? If so, you should be able to slide scope forward to clear ejection port then lower it back down closer to the barrel. Be hard to get a cheek weld with it that high.
Beautiful rifle, great customization and creative video production. What is yours chambered in? 357/38? I have five lever actions: Ruger Marlin 1895 SBL, Ruger Marlin 336, Winchester 1873, 24” in 357 and two Rossi R92s, 24” and 16.5” both in 357/38. Your customizations are perfect.
Because that is the scope he chose... is that not obvious? That's like asking someone why their favorite color is red, its subjective and there is no right or wrong way its called personal preferance. I dont like the scope either but hey not everyone is the same try to remember just because someone does something different then you does not make it wrong🫡
Great video of the Rossi R92. What brand is the sling that you have there in the video? Its really nice and I'd like to get one. Thanks for posting the video and beautiful setup.

I love that stainless, I have a blued barrel and I do love it too, but I should have spent the extra buck fifty and got that beautiful stainless. I also picked up my first ever lever action R92 b/c I wanted an old style, cowboy style, pistol cartridge, carbine rifle.
Lever actions are underrated, I was researching the marlin 1894, because it ejects to the side, allowing to mount optics on top of the receiver, although scout scopes looks better IMO, same for the laminated wood/stainless steel combination.
Just so you know, the Rossi 92 doesn't lock the round into the bolt head until it goes in the chamber. Meaning that if you flip cock it the rounds will fly out each time. It's fun to twirl but it's a hassle to have go back and pick up your unspent rounds. Nice rifle either way. Glad to see the younger crowd getting into the old things.
Beautiful gun, but you might want to re-think the move where the cocked rifle is swung around so that the business end of the barrel is pressed against your stomach. 😱
@@modernnmann1that’s actually not a scout scope. The max eye relief on it is about 4.25 inches. I don’t say this to mock you. You should try it out with an actual scout scope, that you look through with both eyes open, and I think you’ll notice an improvement over what you’re seeing now. Vortex makes a decent one that isn’t too expensive and you can usually find used ones even cheaper.
Beautiful gun but u can’t compare energy from a 357 to a 45-70 trex killer. I definitely want a 357 lever for my next cowboy pair and I want a 45-70 lever action only I’m not about to destroy my wrist shooting 45-70 out of a revolver. I got the 44 mag Rossi and a 44 mag colt. Keep up the good work sir.

Love the stainless look with that stock color combo. I'm all about the tactical look. Picked up the citadel levtac in 44 mag, which technically it's a Rossi 92. Only problem when doing the flip reload is that because it's too ejection, your bullet that you're trying to reload will fall out too.
That Citadel is on my list! And yes your right about that. That’s why I want the Marlin 45-70. Ejection Chamber is on the side instead of the top. More exciting content on the way!

Love to hear different people’s set-ups! Nothing like a tactical lever action! I have some exciting new reviews coming soon so keep an eye out!
You can't beat s lever action rifle! The Best rifle other 12 gage or AR 15 beat a buck on this great video.! Sir
Beautiful gun, love the wide ring lever. If it came with an octagonal barrel it be perfect.

Same with the 44 mag

Just bought this exact rifle for $1,100.00. 2/28/24 Do you have any problems loading the rounds ?
I would get rid of the scope, it just looks very odd for a Rossi 357.
I would replace it with a safety button peep sight instead.
What sling do you have on this rifle? Could you share a link
silver aluminum metal ???
Stainless Steel

This one was chambered in 357/38! Got a review coming up on a tactical lever action in 44 magnum!
Ive reviewed a bunch of the Rossi lever guns and finally picking up a blued version of that gun. Their great value for the money. Thanks for sharing..
My man that rifle is beautiful Love it with the scope Very nice
Good review and I thank you for it. The Rossi 38/357 combo is a good choice and that model looks sharp 👌.
Thank you! And yes I love this rifle. Very unique!
Why is there such a massive scope on that it's half the size of the rifle. Looks like an 80's version of a red dot😂

How sweet!!! Good choice ! Mine is the carbine model and regular wood stock. But man is it fun to shoot. Thanks for the video.

Agreed. The side ejection is so much more convenient!
@@modernnmann1 If you had to go with a side eject the Henry Big Boy X is worth a look. Also in 357.

That's why Chuck Connors' rifles had a spring-loaded plunger installed in the top area of the breech as a cartridge stop.....
@@profharp I have no idea how it would work, but I assume there was something that did just that.

Nice gun, is the pic rail skinner? Very similar set up to mine.

You can’t fire the rifle while the lever is extended. It’s pretty safe to do if you know how to do it.
Very nice well done.
Thank you! God Bless!

Would love a 45-70 lever but the ammo hovers at around $2/send so...
Nice gun brother
