that's one experienced driver because he did the right thing and went straight instead of trying to get back on the road and flipping the whole tractor and trailer.HATS OFF TO YOU DRIVER WELL DONE.
I loved those words towards the end “Lead by example” THAT is the one thing that separates a “Boss” from a “Leader” and that is why I watch your videos, you are not a boss, you are a working supervisor who constantly shares your knowledge with your employees so they can learn and become better recovery specialists: you also educate us with your explanations as to why you do this or that and what rule, ordinance, operating procedure or law requires a task to be performed in a specific manner. Another job well done, safe, no damaged equipment and another completed mission.
So nice to see a deputy so helpful and concerned with the welfare of everyone working and getting the owner of the property made whole from the damage done to the property.
That's the Sheriff not just a deputy! But yes he is a very respectful person and as I have noticed from other videos he's always chipping in to help and the type of person that would do anything in the world to help someone but you can also tell that if you cross him by doing something stupid like braking the law he's going to come down on you hard type of person which there's not many people around like that anymore.
This reminded me of the year a cop slid off our driveway into our yard. He called a tow truck n it got stuck, so he had to call another one to get both out. That kept us entertained for the night. Thanks for sharing
When I was living in Alabama I brought my 77Ford 1ton 4x4 from Wyoming with me. She sure was handy during the ice and snow storms down there cause nobody, including the tow ops knows how to drive in that crud!! Towed out several Police cars and a couple wreckers... Just a matter of using what ya got!!
That work was like butter , smooth rolling. Think you and stay safe out there. May God bless you and watch over you guys, and may God's angels 😇 keep an eye on you guys and first responders in this ice storm.
You are a genius and have a special gift from God to know so much of how to do all the work and solve every problem that comes up to get each job done well. God bless you Ron and all your crews!! I love your beautiful wrecker too!! A lot of thought had to go into that baby!!
You're only the second person I've ever seen say they WANT to drive for Prime INC. The other one was an O/O that had like 5 trucks and sub-leased to other drivers
You have a great sheriff! You also have a two great employees with you. Shoutout to Raymond and David, good to see ya! Thanks for the great videos Ron. Keep up the good work, stay safe and God bless you and your team.
Major thumbs up to that Sherriff. Very lucky driver there! Enjoy watching your videos! You have such a great attitude and great working relationship with your crew!
I also talk to myself. I remember back when I was working in a Manufacturing plant, someone asked if I talk to myself often. All I could think of was "quite often" and with that I replied "but only when I want intelligent conversation.
Ya know Ron, I've been watching a few Rotator wrecker youtube channels...and they either screw things up or simply grate on my nerves. You are the only one that is warm, welcoming and just an all round darned nice guy. It carries through your videos. Thank you from Down Under (where it is summer right now)
Ron, I have to say, it is an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to your videos. I absolutely love the the kindness and respect that you show and treat everyone with. This world needs A LOT more people like you in it. You treat your employees with respect and kindness not to mention always complimenting them on how well they do their jobs. On top of that you never ever throw your weight around as the owner / boss of the business, on ever single video I have watched you consider yourself nothing more and no higher in the chain of command then that of your employees which IMHO is phenomenal and the reason you are so successful. God Bless and be well my friend. Keep up the good / great work. Also, so very sorry for the loss of your father. Prayers and well wishes to you and your entire family from the Boland family of Pa.
When electricity flows in a wire, it creates a magnetic field. This field attracts vehicles and pulls them off the road, which then attracts recovery vehicles. This explains the inordinate number of incidents with nearby power lines.
About as good an explanation as any other theory I've heard. That's right up there with the "Theory Of Dark" that a group of College teachers came up with.
Big respect there from the sheriff. Closest moment like that I've ever had was when a union plumber in a big-city convention center bought donuts for my (non-union!) co-worker and I, who were specialized tech support for a particular exhibit.
Some do have alot of things going on to where there not always able to be real chill and or it its on the highway they have to work fast but try to not get hit

The cab of a well kept Pete is a man-cave on wheels with a western motif that smells like Harley Leathers on a hot summer day, some, 1/2 a glass of spilt classic cognac and Scottish sweet pipe tobacco with delicate hint of bog musk. Then there are all the dials, switches and gauges, it's enough to make a man pants happy.
Love to see the rapport you guys have with all of the PD in the area, and I know you all work hard to maintain that. I watch the towing shows filmed in Canada on Sunday evenings on the Weather Channel, and my wife always chuckles at me that the PD puts ENORMOUS pressure on those guys to hurry up and get that road cleared and doing sketchy things, and I'm always yelling "you wouldn't see Ron Pratt and his crew taking those chances -- they'd do it SAFE!!!!"

Having that driveway right there, frozen ground, and a gradual slope was a real blessing in that recovery, saves a lot on rigging for sure (and safer with those power lines). Flatland is your friend, especially when dealing with that kind of weight (loaded trailer.). Especially in that cold weather so nice that you don’t have to cage the brakes or fix airlines. That was quick and good thinking by the trucker to turn his wheels the other way.
i think this is the first time i have ever seen any Midwest trucks filthy with road dirt ( the guys must have been flat out busy during the snow & ice )
That's the new custom paint job to match Raymond. They figure he works even harder when he's covered with grease and oil, so maybe it'll work for the trucks too. He always reminds me of a mechanic we had here until he retired a few years ago; wouldn't replace any of his work clothes until they were literally coming apart at the seams. Went through winter with some insulated coveralls that maybe got washed once a week. He'd be in the shop finishing his coffee before 6AM, and more than once I went to pick up a vehicle after 7PM and he was just locking up. Best transmission guy in town, but he really earned that early retirement.
@@benmac940 I have noticed it lots of times during winter months. Ron, I clapped my hands and shouted when you told them your chain was on the trailer's rear, as I was wondering abut that. Ron you do a great Job of showing your employees what a great leader you are, you treat all the employees like they are blood relation. This is why i love your channel so much wait till friday to see a video from you Blessing to you and your family and employees
If you live in the Midwest, you understand going through the stop sign. When it’s slippery like that, sometimes you slide through it, may as well just go through as long as you have the momentum and no cars are coming. May have to give it some gas to keep from getting stuck and spinning your wheels. If you do manage to stop, you may not be able to get going again with no traction.
Great video Ron. You do a great job leading your men. God was with him on that ride. As a former truck driver I have seen truck turn over on places that didn't lean that much. Never turned one over myself, but have seen others do it. I don't like icy roads. Got out of the truck one time and the road was so slick I couldn't stand up on it. I got on up the road and went around a curve to the right that was banked and started sliding to the ditch turned my wheels all the way to the left and with Gods help it stay on the road. God has save me of accidents more than one time. Glad I'm not out there in that mess anymore. Stay safe and God bless.
The Sheriff has deputies who work with him not for him. The same as you Ron. Your people work with you not for you. You do not ask them to do anything you will not do yourself! That is one of the secrets to a good business owner...
Ron, great video. Great job by you and your crew! It's been a lot of years since I've felt temperatures that cold -- 1963 -- my parents and all us kids lived in Wichita, Kansas -- we moved back home to Arkansas that February -- the temperatures were -15 below zero, and there was about 2.5 feet of snow on the ground. Miserable weather! All of you folks have my sympathy -- it's hard to work in weather like that! God bless all of you.
There is a video where Ron went to the site of a car going off the side of the road. While he was checking things out, he saw another two cars go off into the median.
The Sheriff is a credit to the law enforcement profession. All officers of the law should be like him. Another great recovery by the Master of Recovery.
Really great teamwork by everyone! I absolutely love that the Sheriff is there and willing to help, that says a lot! Now I know I’m commenting a year late on this video, and I saw your comment in the video about an expensive comm system… but in previous videos you had some portable 2 way radios… even if you buy the most basic set at Walmart about $50-$60. Would it be possible to do something like that so you can communicate with your crew effectively when you’re on incidents like this? But all in all, this was a great recovery! You’ve got a great crew, very dedicated and hard working! I very much enjoy and appreciate your videos!
So true! Just like arguing with a person's spouse. If you talk loUD, you may get the silent treatment for anywhere from one to twenty days (which does seem like a year). If it gets physical, they you have a different problem.
When the first Bluetooth earpieces came out I wish I could have recorded people's reactions when I was talking through the earpiece!!! They must have thought I needed to be on meds....LOL. Thanks for watching and God bless.

I'm in Connecticut Cold and windy all this week Sunday lost power into Monday I lived in California in 87/88 great times Sad to see that state go to SH'T
As they say, "Improvise, adapt, overcome!" Well done Ron. Glad nobody got hurt, and y'all got that truck out of there. IF I had the money, I'd make sure y'all got the headsets. One thing I absolutely love about this video, is the teamwork. Also...talking with food in your mouth? really Ron? :P lol
