  • How old is too old? For Polaroid SX70 film nine years still seems good to go! Be sure to test before you head out and definitely expect the unexpected!

Interesting. When I saw the title “Expired Polaroid film..”, I thought maybe you were going to use really old Polaroid 600 film like mine (expired in the late 80s through the 90s). I’ve had remarkably good results with most of it.. obviously not all.
I’m working up the courage to see if one of my frozen rolls of Polaroid “Swinger” film, complete with the tubes of “stuff” to be wiped on the b&w prints, will render any images. I just found your channel and enjoy your content! I’m a subscriber now. Thanks!

If you go to a recent article I posted I use Type 89 from 2006- peel apart and still quite good!

I'm really surprised by how good the film was. I've had some original Polaroid 600 ans Spectra that hasn't lasted that long.
BTW, no snow or ice in Vermont? Near Montreal, it's break a leg slippery everywhere!

thanks for your video - where to buy this power bar that you connected on the SX 70 ?

To use the Powerbar on a sx70 you would need to send it to chromatic.parts who is on IG to get it converted to 600 and work with that power source- if your sx70 has been converted to 600 and is a Sonar model there is no conversion necessary and you can just purchase it from Dennis at Chromatic.parts
