Don't really need to have summons focused on breaking with double hits, most boss battles end up in single target fights and ochette can just use provoke beasts to inflicting massive ammounts of shield break in one turn. For AoE you can just use the shark summon and a merchant hire to quickly burn down the ads the boss summons To anyone needing help with ochette, try out the following summons Chubby Cait - ( Gives tons of support buffs, really good for last boss fight ) Headless horseman - 1 Sword hit to all - Gives 2 turns of P.Attk and Critical hit rate Ocean lizardking III - 2 dagger hits - Givs 2 turns of speed and evasion up and moves everyone one slot ahead on next turn The shark boss is broken too rest of summons up to you Try to get SP saver on ochette as well, really good to provoke beasts more often
@@stryfetc1471 t stands for "area of effect" it's bacilli short for "hit all foes with the same hit" for example Osvald's bread and butter deals AoE damage, but his latant power trades the AoE effect for more damage.
An EXTREMELY effective capture that I recommend grabbing Is the Dark Manta (From On The Water), It's a rarer spawn and If captured (Especially early) will make Ochette an extremely potent DPS+Support. Dark Manta's provoke hits ALL enemies with a very powerful Dark attack AND buffs your party with +Magic damage for 2 turns. I managed to capture a Dark Manta In the mid 20's because it showed up by itself and doesn't hurt nearly as bad as you might think, and has continually been helpful In several fights, especially In areas that I had no right to be in at my level.
not gonna lie, keeping a mental note of where these monsters are when you want to swap them out can be a pain in the ass. so many good ones to choose from. and the once per battle ones are tough to drop from the roster. u need to make a beast guide video i can reference back to. wished they would include a brief description of what these monsters do cuz the name of their attacks sounds pretty intimidating but what you really need from them are buffs and debuffs
devourer of dreams is also rlly good. does a powerful dark attack on all enemies then gives 2 stacks of sidestep and elemental reflect to the whole team :)
Making the case even worse against scholar for Ochette - if you choose the owl as a pet, it basically sniffs out elemental weaknesses making it a decent alternative to analyze. You don't get the HP reveal, but the owl will deal damage.
scolar for a 2nd class works best on temenos, if you want to fight a powerful citizen you an interrogate him first, analyze him before you get knocked out, then lay in him with a combatant of your choice prepared with his particular weaknesses.

Provoke costs 48 SP but if one of the beasts is a Spiny eel (Sunken maw) you can get SP regen for the party to cover some of the cost. Does 1 dagger hit to all enemies. Creepy Fledgling (Duskruin Shrine) will give a solo Ochette 60 SP everytime plus regen. Cultured Cait can be spammed easily.
I like using the Manta because it uses a weak dark attack on everyone, and buffs the party's elem atk at the same time, for like 3 turns. So, Provoke Beasts 3x on that and we've got max stacks of elem atk buff without using ANY BP
Light Revenant is an enemy deleter and grants great bonuses. With captured beasts, I try to get the multi-hit monsters for faster breaks. She is my best shield breaker with damage on par with Hikari.
Thank you Purplatypus 🙏🏼 I was really looking forward to this one. If you have time love some beast videos, like all lvl 10s, some honorable mentions and just fun ones in general.
Most all of my captured monster are those who deal a certain weapon damage to all enemies twice and one or two level 10 monster. She ate shield for breakfast

Ochette is good with cleric buff as you can provoke twice 3/2 BP Didn't think to try before but beastly fangs can be turned into an AOE, the move itself ignores 50% of the targets defence so hits very hard
Just got this game today and playing Ochette and love the owl. I was confused about the day and night specific quest. Like do I get anything if I have the whole town following me lol and for the day do I get something provoking every person in town during day lol.
wouldn’t Ochette thief be good paired? possibly better when paired with a cleric, but Indomitable beast + aebers reckoning I imagine would be really good damage
I don't really use her to her full potential because, although good, I don't use any of the 10 star monsters that need full BP or can only be used one. I prefer the 9 star ones that I can use over and over with any amount of BP and also give some sort of buff and/or debuff. I'm gimping her but for reasons it just bothers me needing max BP to use something. I use her for shield breaking so have a lot of multi hit or AOE attacks.
i like to give Osvald the dancer class primarally so he can use moonater, i wanted to see how much his fire and wind gets boosted from it, plus he has some neache buff applying skills i havent toyed with yet, but i think the'res just too much setup to make it worth doing over ochette and agnea.
Indomitable Beast is actually pretty great for most of the game because at 0 BP it gives 3 turns of buffs (current turn then two turns of damage), so if you know you’re about to break the boss it will set you up for big damage on the next turn. Though that may be just how I play, I have most of my party set up for a turn when the boss is 1 shield from breaking with one party member defending to get the full 2 turns of unloading damage.
The extra turn will always be at the end, so you can use another character before your damage dealer gets an extra turn to refill their BP with either a skill or an item. Alternatively with Max BP you can at least triple boost on your 2nd turn.
Honestly early and mid game her ability to do aoe breaks of weapon types for free is super helpful. I am not upset I started with her. But in my mid game team at the moment I do have both her and Hikari lol .)

Scourge of the Sea breaks 6 shields if I recall correctly, so using the glitch would be 36 shields 😂

Provoke Beasts is an ability she gets after you beat her storyline? Sorry, I am not that far into the game yet. I'm on Chapter 3 with her.
After chapter 3 of her story
How to turn monster to food? Does that option only come up when the monsters list is full.
Look at the keybinds, since it's the spacebar or X on the controller to prepare them

it's especially great in conjuction with aeber's reckoning because it boosts both speed and attack
I don't really think extra turns are that useful because a damage dealer cannot really deal damage without BP.
