Oh wow, I never expected that the daughter of sir Christopher himself would see this! As a matter of fact I wanted to find you myself to send this video. And my article about your father as well. www.wattpad.com/1090678947-the-life-and-filmography-of-christopher-lee-life Thank you so much for your kind words! Your father is truly an inspiring figure in all kinds of directions. I often feel that he's underappreciated by a lot of people, who know him just by the roles in The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. And that's one of the reasons I decided to make this video. Yeah, I remember him mentioning Beethoven as his favorite composer. Ironically I decided to use Beethoven's music before I remembered that. It just seemed so appropriate. Hopefully you and your beautiful mother are doing well (happy birthday to her BTW). Best wishes to you!
He lived an amazing life. To live for so many decades and keep working throughout. It was really something. When he finally passed it felt like a wise old tree had been ripped from the ground after 200 years. Such a great man. RIP
Christopher Lee was a fine preformer. He is awesome in each and every role he plays.I loved the guy and I miss him terribly.Thankyou for this channel/video..."Much appreciated.. Frank.
From Chuck Norris movies to James Bond, to Middle Earth, A Galaxy Far Far Away, to Transylvania and beyond. Big budget biopics to low budget exploitation Sir Christopher Lee had a career most actors dream off.
Wow, great job! A fantastic tribute to a great English gentleman and actor. Sir Christopher Lee's career was prolific and multi faceted. In 1976 he moved to the US for several years to avoid being typecast in the UK as a horror villain. He was born in 1922, and it is astonishing he was still producing powerhouse performances in 'Star Wars', 'Lord of the Rings' and various other leading roles, into his 'nineties. 6ft 4ins of unique, masculine charisma and talent, we shall not see his like again! Thanks for taking the time to put this tribute together. For me it's not only entertaining, it's an invaluable guide to the Christopher Lee movies I have yet to see! I'm obliged to you.
Thank you so much for your response! It really took some time to put this together. But it's worth it for sure. Lee is my most favorite actor of all time. And singer too :)
@@ivans.191 I want to say a huge THANK YOU for sending me the link to your wonderful article on Christopher Lee. It's really well written and researched, and is an invaluable document for me right now. It was amazing good fortune you sent it to me when you did, as I'd been searching for a really detailed filmography for Christopher Lee for days, without success (Wikipedia filmographies are so thin, they're practically useless!) I want to immerse myself in his best movies, but with a career as prolific as his, it's hard to sort the wheat from the chaff! That's where your assessments of each big screen role are so useful. I'm still working my way through your article, and I imagine will be for a few weeks while I continue to consult it, and watch the movies. I'm currently on 'The Two Faces of Dr Jekyll from 1960, on your recommendation (I'm also intrigued that it was one of Lee's favourite roles, despite his not playing the title role and it not being a box office hit). It's surprising how many of his movies are available for free on UA-cam - recently I was thrilled to watch his 1958 Dracula debut, with his old buddy Peter Cushing as Dr Van Helsing. I thoroughly enjoyed it, a very stylish movie with great performances as you'd expect from Cushing and Lee - even with the Spanish subtitles, lol! Alas the rest of his Hammer output is missing from UA-cam (apart from clips and trailers), and nor is the Wicker Man here. I have seen it before of course, but was hoping to revisit it for free. It's possibly the creepiest movie I've ever seen. The combination of that desolate island, Christopher Lee's powerhouse performance as the sinister cult leader, and the doomed, fresh-faced constable played so perfectly by a young Edward Woodward, is dynamite! I also refreshed my memory on Lee's turn as Scaramanga in 'The Man With the Golden Gun'. Though it was one of the least popular Bond movies, I thought he created one of its best ever Bond villains. My only gripe was that such a great adversary for Bond, shared comparatively little screen time with him! Anyway, I won't waffle on but my sincere thanks again for producing - and sharing - such a quality document. Incidentally, I was wondering if it would be possible to save your article to my desktop for future reference? If that's OK with you, could you possibly tell me how to go about it - I'm something of a technophobe! Hope you're having a great week, thanks for making mine! Lisa. X
Rochefort, described by Athos as "...the Cardinal's living blade and he is deadly." in the Musketeer films is when I came to appreciate Christopher Lee. He's got the lion's share of the best lines in those movies. He's gone now of course leaving a void which can _never_ be filled.
Great tribute, it'll be sad when I finally run out of Octobers when I see a movie he was in for the first time. Fortunately that could take a few more years yet.
A man of so many talents - both as an actor and a person, I think I'd feel a bit intimidated speaking to him! I'm sure I heard a story about an American fan coming up to him and saying "I've seen all your movies" and he replied "Really? I haven't." Another good one from his catalogue was a tv role in a series called "Gormenghast" where he plays this tragic character really convincingly even though he only communicates in very broken sentences.
The fight with Norris, Norris "I trained under Bruce Lee" C.Lee "But did he teach you how to swordfight?" Norris "Errrr, no!" C.Lee "Than one of us is in a lot of trouble!"
It's a shame he never got to be in a movie with Basil Rathbone who shared a lot of similarities with him. Also a war veteran, often the villain in movies and a good sword fighter.
Rathbone was a s african fencing champion and medaled in the olympics. He thought errol flynn was crap but Tyrone Power had real talent - check out the final swordfight in Mark of Zorro.
Brilliant video. Christopher played so many different roles to a very high standard. He has proven that he was the best in the business. Sleep well. Rest in peace.
truly a super legend Christopher Lee truly is playing all the classic Unievrsal monsters with perfection he is one of many great talents, there was another great movie Lee was in the Five Golden Dragons with Bob Cummings i need to see it again my vhs got stolen ill look it up on amazon Prime but what a great Movie career amazing.
An absolutely brilliant gift to the great Sir Christopher Lee. Question I have is does anyone know where I can find a copy of "The Many Faces of Christopher Lee" the whole documentary? I can not find it anywhere and I really want to watch it.
Epic films........The Draculas......did in the airport series.....performed in a James Bond film. .....Star Wars....and Lord of the Rings. Did lots of famous film history.
Lovely tribute to my darling father. Thank you.
PS. The music is very appropriate, as his favourite classical composer was Beethoven.

Sir Christopher Lee had a career most actors dream off.
Yeah his career is very versatile. BTW I felt sorry for him in An Eye for An Eye. I didn't sympathize with Norris in this one :)
You mean the other way around, he started in low budget and ended in big budget

This man aged really well, must've taken care of himself good back then

Marvellous bringing back good memories for me.
Gods, the man was handsome back then

A loving respectful tribute! Well done!
Thank you so much 😊
I first saw him in the crimson pirate from 1952, that's the earliest movie I've seen him in.
I also saw his debut Corridor of Mirrors. Very small role of course.
Sir Christpher Lee still known to us as the great Count Dracula
I don't know how in the world I found this but damn this was enjoyable, and interesting.
Thanks!

Haven't seen that one yet. I have to check it
I have seen Gormengast! It's very unusual, but interesting.
He took on Chuck Norris (1981 a eye for a eye, look it up) and Master Yoda, rank of fighting legend achieved!
And he beat Obi-wan not once but twice
The fight with Norris,
Norris "I trained under Bruce Lee"
C.Lee "But did he teach you how to swordfight?"
Norris "Errrr, no!"
C.Lee "Than one of us is in a lot of trouble!"
Chuck Norris is the only man who fought both Lees!
Thankyou for sharing this

Amazing video!! Thank you 👿
Thanks 😊
the British version of Vincent Price, and if these two ever fought, it would get ugly quick.
they were very good friends
3:00 well that ain't problematic at all lol, thank god I don't care
Love you, Sir. Rest in Badassery and Blessed Be.
You forgot his roll in Dark Shadows.
A lot of his roles are not here. It'd be too much
most of us would like to forget that movie
@@ivans.191 Yeah, it says he starred in over 200 films over the course of 6 1/2 decades.

The many different faces of christopher lee were from 1944 to 2016
@@RMMHSATejaswiRoy 1947, to be more precise. I just decided to show his first leading role first
That was a lot of shitty films mixed with a few gems, but who cares?

Tribute to great man
Two of his characters, Saruman and Count Dooku, are both my favourites
Part of those movies are sadly not political correct. ..nowadays
Looks like 1 face to me.
You left out The Crimson Pirate!!!!
