I've been a big fan of The Sopranos since it started back in the late 90's- the best drama show in history as far as I'm concerned. Your work on the show was great. David Chase and HBO nailed it.James Gandolfini (RIP) was awesome as was the rest of the cast. The casting was way beyond what any of us ever saw in television. It would be interesting to see you tackle some other acting roles again. Take care Jamie, it looks like your tackling MS head on in a constructive way that works best for you.

Sigler experienced a similar feeling when she had Lyme disease in 2001. "I didn't know if this was a relapse or what it was," she continued.

There is no test for Lyme disease and you would have to fight to get one which should tell you something al together imagine fighting for a tuberculosis test or hiv test or cancer test there’s something bad going on and a lot of people have autoimmune diseases that are really tick borne diseases

This is such BS. It gives others like me false hope. She is young and still in her 20's. Let her relapse a few more times and you will see a different attitude. Yea, it is good to be positive and all that. That is great. But, some of us have been down that road before and then when your body says no when you say yes, when you had the chance to get out of that two story house but now its too late and you cant get up those stairs anymore, when you can barely get out of bed anymore. when you cant walk anymore. when you don't care anymore. Ok, great, be positive. But I would advise you to get a new home that is single story. Stay on meds, it only gets worse, it doesn't get better but we can try to prolong the wheelchair with the meds...

Sorry, but I'm not buying her diagnosis of MS at this time. I think she could have been misdiagnosed. I see ZERO symptoms of MS after 15 years. She claims her symptoms are generic things like 'getting tired' and being 'unable to run anymore.' I'm not saying she doesn't have MS. But so far, her symptoms are not compelling indicators that she, in fact, has MS.
There is no lab test for MS; the diagnosis is what's known as a differential diagnosis (i.e. a diagnosis by process of elimination).
It sounds more like she has a borderline eating disorder to stay thin and she's misinterpreting chronic fatigue due to lack of calories with MS. Most Hollywood actresses stay thin without lots of exercise by chronically starving themselves. At least that's what her symptoms sound like based on what she is describing.

There are tests that diagnose MS. Spinal tap and MRI's of the brain and spine. She stated in another interview that she had these tests and that's when she was diagnosed.

@@boop5004 - There's no way I believe that she was correctly diagnosed with those tests, which are not definitive in any way, especially given her mild symptoms.
20 years from now, Jamie-Lynn Sigler will be walking and acting normal.
You don't seem to understand that the medical industrial complex is incentivized to always diagnose a "disease" in people even when one doesn't exist. They do this with so-called mental illness, autism, ADHD, etc.

    • @benfrank8649
      @benfrank8649 4 роки тому +3

Puma, those tests really aren’t definitive? Even with lesions and demyelination and bands in spinal fluid? I’m genuinely curious! Because I don’t believe I have MS. What are other possible causes for these test results?

She can be diagnosed with an MRI. I mean you don't live with her day to day so I dont see how you can know that. Also ms varies from person to person, some people barely have any symptoms and other are paralyzed, it just depends.

omfg. i was diagnosed with MS. I don't have it. so yes, it is a differential dx, but it is no less real. I had the plaques. I had the spinal tap. just shut up.

CDC announces major agency overhaul; what about Lyme?
Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has announced a major overhaul of the agency she leads.
Admitting that the CDC had failed to respond effectively to the coronavirus epidemic, she said it’s time to “pivot.”
“For 75 years, CDC and public health have been preparing for COVID-19, and in our big moment, our performance did not reliably meet expectations,” Walensky said in a statement.
“My goal is a new, public health action-oriented culture at CDC that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, communication, and timeliness.”
Her announcement came after a comprehensive review of the agency’s coronavirus response that she ordered in April.
That document has not been publicly released yet, but she spoke about it in a video sent to CDC employees. She stated, “To be frank, we are responsible for some pretty dramatic, pretty public mistakes, from testing to data to communications.”
I’d like to point out that for decades, the CDC has made pretty dramatic mistakes about Lyme disease, too.
With all this reorganization, the agency should also revamp its approach to Lyme disease, “from testing to data to communications.” A good place to start: correcting faulty information about Lyme disease on the CDC website. But much more is required.
    An overhaul is overdue.
For details about Walensky’s announcement, see this report from CBS News.
