Ian I’m going to be very honest with you, nobody knows what’s going on inside of our building. There’s a new report every day😂😂Joe and I are actually getting a kick out of it
If you ask me this is great because Rex Hogan, Shaun Alexander and Taylor Embree (a.k.a The Leaches) are no longer part of the team so no one knows about nothing outside the building
I’d prefer Bowers honestly. Brady to Gronk Mahomes to Kelce Rodgers to Bowers Plus in the long run they’re much cheaper. BUT, I still have this feeling they need to take an offensive lineman.
The main problem with the Jets offense last year was the OL. I don’t understand why everyone is talking about more weapons. At this point the Jets need to draft the best player available.
I want Odunze, I would love this. Were bound for a bunch of smoke this week. I wouldn't be shocked if we hear a report we are after DE just for the smoke screen. I agree that conk is pretty dependable. He was a really good target for Zach. Was good with contested catches. He's better than a lot give him credit for imo. I'd prefer WR here
I just can't see how a "win now" move is drafting a TE unless it's a DIRE NEED for the team. The smarter thing to do is to take WR or a lineman... it's so simple. We cannot afford to get cute with this draft, it's so important for the next 2 years.
You also need a good TE and he can support WR and O-Line as a TE. For WR which you need just get Tyler Boyd he will give you 800 yards which is ok as a WR3... Otherwise trade up and more picks in 2024.
@@mbv88xxx The problem is we have 3 good TE's on our roster already lol (4 if you include kenny yeboah who somehow has still kept himself on this team)
Then you keep the TEa pick OL and get Boyd as he is a solid 800 yards and less risk than picking a unkown 2nd round WR. Or trade back get a WR + OL mid to late first round and early second round with pick from trade. You probably will not get Top 3 WR at current position...
I 100% would take the 3 over bowers. However I doubt they fall to 10. I think WRs go 4 6 and 9. I think we take bowers > OL tho. But if the opportunity arises to trade up, we gotta go take it
I think offensive line should be the pick. If not then best defensive line. Imagine Byron Murphy lining up next to quinnen williams. That would take me back to the 2010 jets
I can't help but think that we need to get another big time tackle at the 10 Pick. I think that a key to the season is getting the most out of Breece Hall and the running game. He has McCaffery like qualities (break off long runs and involved in pass game). I think we need to ensure Rogers health because if not we are back to last season
Totally agree. They need a another play maker opposite Garrett Wilson. They don't really have a wide receiver 2. If Garrett goes down who do they really have, MW coming off injury, Lazard and Brownlee....If any of those guys are available I'm taking any one them, that's just me.
If the Jets draft Bowers, he could be utilized as a big "slot" receiver. He could be lined up with Conklin, who is more of a traditional tight end. Bowers is a matchup nightmare in the slot, so he could provide a similar dynamic as one of the top traditional receivers.
I wouldn't mind if JD picked Johnny Wilson, or Xaiver Legette, if they don't get the first three or Brian Thomas. Right now however Bowers seems to be aa perfect fit....a hybrid between front line and playmaking receiver.
I’m for Bowers or best available OL. Bowers helps as a receiver and isn’t a slouch in blocking. Not to keen on taking a WR feel like we have a solid group that will only do better with a-rod and solid blocking hopefully. Hard to game plan against Wilson Williams breece and bowers that’s unreal
I just don’t understand the problem with having two great TE! When New England did it with Gronk and Hernandez they was unstoppable; can you imagine if Hernandez never got in trouble patriots would’ve got an extra two rings
Ian my man!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm totally on board with taking a WR over Brock Bowers because I feel that taking a tight end in an all-in year is too risky in my opinion.
I know you know but they will pick whoever there board looks like whoever they think the elite players are, the jets and Joe Douglas don't pick a certain position , they pick who they think is the best athlete , I think we all won't be mad regardless but I think they have to pick offense in that
Im not that high on Rome at 10. He’s good but I feel like you could get more value trading down for Thomas instead and I feel like Thomas has a higher ceiling. I’ve been on the Bowers train all the way. He just looks special and he was a teams offence. I don’t care he’s a TE. For me he’s a playmaker with or without the ball.
Giants, Cards and Chargers pick before us and those teams need a wr1. I don’t think any of those three guys will be there before at 10. We need to go to tackle or go with Brock Bowers.
MHJ at # 10 ??? Would he be available ??? Wow ! If so, no brainer ! He’s even forgone all these past Pro days to get ready to play football football as opposed to training for these skill drills. He’ll be such a gift that you don’t blink twice !
This is not news in my eyes. If any of the top 3 WRs are available the Jets should draft him over Bowers. Odunze seems the most likely, just depends on what Chicago goes at 9.
If I was JD I'd trade up with the Falcons at pick #8 and draft Rome Odunze..if he's still there. Which most likely he still might be. Cause if you stay at #10 then you're missing out on the big 3.
I doubt this report. No way are the Jets going to tip their hat or show their hand before the draft. If anything they could be leaking false info to throw off the other teams before the draft. Plus the jets already have Conklin & Ruckert as tight ends. I’d rather have them beef up the OLine or get another WR at 10.
We don't have the capital for to reach Arizona, the most is a pic swap with 7,8,9, and a 4th rounder for odunze..Malik will be long gone..also someone else will be trying to move up 4 odunze..keep Bowers save the picks..much better value.
If oduzne is available at #9 he will be a Chicago Bear. Sorry read it and weep. Jets would half to wow Falcons or Bears with trade offer to trade up for Odunze. Thursday needs to hurry up
I’d take the three over bower’s but you have to be smoking crack to pass on bower’s for a mid ass WR prospect when bower’s whole thing is how elite he is at catching and scoring. He’s probably a better WR than most of these dudes getting hype but because it says TE, people can’t grasp the simplicity of it all.
I don’t think that’s true. I’m pretty sure what frustrated him was GB would draft late round receivers that aren’t as talented nor experienced so it made it difficult to work with being primary targets. That’s not the case here
@@dylanhawthorne4842 Rodgers has voiced that sentiment publicly on numerous occasions Take a look at Romeo Doubs' numbers when both Rodgers and Doubs played for Green Bay.

Been saying Rome will be better than nabers
Rome would be my pick over Bowers. He can take to top off a defense and win contesteds. still need O-line
Thomas jr or Odunze will better not only this year but future with Williams only being here for 1 year.
exactly, that's why we should pick WR

1- Malik Nabers
2- Brock Bowers
3- Rome Odunze

If all 3 receivers gone draft BTJ then
I hope 2/3 of the Chargers, Giants or Bears pass on a WR
Bears def wont
NFL Teams have a very poor record of predicting first round TE talent. Personally, I’d stick with WR, OT, or trade back.

Bowers basically is a hybrid wr and te. All the jets have to do is just list him as a te.
This is not news in my eyes. If any of the top 3 WRs are available the Jets should draft him over Bowers.
Odunze seems the most likely, just depends on what Chicago goes at 9.
Time to break out of that slow to score habit and start getting some tds so the defense can dominate all four quarters.
I would be upset if we pass on bowers unless Rome is attainable. That’s the only receiver (excluding MHJ)
anything is possible but this could only happen in a trade up.

Move up to five for Harrison? Cost next year’s first I’d imagine. Would it be worth the cost in a win now situation??
I’m still sticking with Olu being the pick
Wr is cool but jets need to button up the oline
🙈No first round WR or TE, please & thank you.
O LINE is the answer to all your Jets draft questions.
Joe Alt or Fashanu or trade back.
