The problem with this foundation is that initially it might look like it matches but once it sets, it actually gets darker. They replaced this shade with 85 and it’s still too yellow. Even after it sets.
@@thetryitchick Yeah when it sets it oxidize becomes darker from what you chosen so thats why i dont like sime of these foundation chosen unprofessional advisors and quizzes. Have you tried Charlotte tilbury hers oxidized too but not as much as this and the shades are well charted and the sample they give you can choose a perfect match .
I think it’s definitely your skin tone. At first you applied a big blob on a small portion of your face so it did look yellowish but once blended it looked like a match. Looks like the hairline/forehead needed a little more coverage. Looks good. Actually, once you finished doing your foundation you looked fresh. Not awkward at all... and I’ve seen so many foundation videos ... usually people look dead once foundation is applied. Good job.
I ordered this same foundation (#105) and it matched my skin perfectly . I think it helps when you do the survey to look at pictures of yourself and also look in the mirror at your skin cuz you can sometimes be mistaken about your tone .
I have 105 and my skin tone is more like olive but with some golden undertones. From my perspective I think you have more pinkish understones. You did tan up some with it, but it looks nice.

The first time I got #120 after taking the quiz, it definitely didn't work for me. The color is too dark for me. Then, they sent me #40, and again, it's not for me since it's lighter than my skin, so it doesn't look natural. Now, after retaking the quiz, they matched me with #105. I really hope it's going to work at this time. If not, I am still willing to give a last try with a shadow between 85 - 95. My skin color is yellowish, and I get tan on the areas which are usually exposed. However, when I go to the beach and reveal my rarely exposed areas like legs, it never gets tan but red. Even my face gets red. I'm a mixed-race person, so it's tough to find the correct color for me.
Hi, did you send the previous bottle back? I got 120 and I am not sure it's my color but now retaking is saying 105. I am Indian, and wish they had more Indian/Asian skin tones :(

I took the test, and my skin tone is way darker than yours!!! This is the same exact color they suggested! I’m so glad I looked at this review before I did anything else. It’s crazy because they need way more skin tone examples people can relate to… 3/4 skin tones AINT it🤦🏽
i bought shade 105. im hoping it works for me. i am not pink undertoned like like you-more olive/golden. im excited to try this out! if the formula is nice, maybe i can find the right shade lol.

I'm also tan and Asian with cool pink undertones, and I'm naturally fair but I don't burn I just tan. I always get matched with yellow foundations and even the quiz matched me wrong haha. Well I will try the quiz again.
I got matched with that exact same shade but i feel im more tan than you. I feel it looked dark on you, or the undertone was off, it has a yellow undertone and you needed a different one. But once its put on it looks really good on you, so I'm confused hehe.
I ordered mine a month ago and I just received it. Shade 105 was suggested for me and it also looked too yellow on me just as the girl in the video, but I wasn't sure if it was too light or too dark. I think you are right, the yellow undertone is off and she could go for a different one,, even though the 105 doesn't look bad on her, just a tad too yellow. My shade is now 95 with a pink undertone, hopefully it arrives quickly. She could go with 95 as well.

It’s called oxidation. So getting a shade lighter would make more sense as it gets darker after it sets. This color looked perfect on you after setting. Now, if you’re like most MUAs I’ve watched where they prefer a more tanned skin, then go one shade darker than 105. A lot of clients with your skin shade and tone go with 120.
What i dont understand when you purchase a foundation from a lighter skin shade person and asian or darker skin person purchase from them, why do they always sell us a tan foundation or yellow tone. I swear my shade came up same as yours when I took the quiz 105 how can my skin be same as yours im a beautify consultant and u can see you have a red undertone or rose undertone. My skin is lighter but gets darker in summer but if i apply a tan shade on top i become more darker and not the shade i am normaly under my skin. I prefer to test my own foundation with the help of your youtube review, which is better than the quiz. I would just use that quiz as your guide but not choosing that shade and pick your own colour. If you go to shein try there foundation sample its good coverage with 2 pumps but very drying like rihanna foundation but not as bad it feels like skin, the point is shein is cheaper company selling a samples and higher end dont, if you came to me I would sit you down try all shades on you then give you all samples tried on to take home and u could see if it's for you its all about how they sell this quiz is just about trapping people as i brought fenty from a quiz and could not be bothered to return it so they are doing same. I bet if you selected the shade yourself you might done much better than the quiz. I find that quiz odd as there is no olive tone people on or red tone i see one girl looks muddy and grey tone and one is tan there is no golden and even i selected medium and she was quite light but your review was geniuine. And luved how you explained everything they should let you keep the foundation in free and for high end brand with damage bottle i would kind of mind but they gave yiu free lipstick so let them off. I might give it a miss and go for huda beauty and she is Arabic who knows the skin shade for us darker skin girls il stick to her 😗
I normally don’t use foundation. Instead, I use a tinted moisturizer from clinique called Super City block which only comes in one shade and somehow it just blends in to your skin. You should try it! 😊

You look way better without all the makeup. Honestly. Maybe it’s the eyes or the lip colour but it made you look really different
