I have done a beard trimming guide with a beard trimmer before, now here I am showing you with hair clippers! Hair clippers provide you longer lengths than your average beard trimmers. Hope you enjoy!

How is it epic,? You must live a sad life
@@83dude how is this not epic? He showed all different sizes which was great for a newbie.. are you crazy?
"You ARE ghey" is seriously projecting his sad life onto yours @@pulakification Ignore him😂
Thanks
Some people are so helpful that they make videos on exactly what you're looking for. Respect for you man 🙏
Thank you for watching 👌🏼
He sacrificed his beard for the vid.... Respect
Thankfully it grows back lol thanks for watching
Ive been letting my beard grow for a month now, mine has 2 small weak spots but your 2 month beard growth inspired me to let mine grow for 2 months for the first time. Hello from Brazil.
Nice! Hope your beard is growing as well as it possibly can
@@LanDope Thanks man!
How do I remove the guard, I’m a girl, I can’t remove the guard from the blade?!?!
@Brian Howard yes I figured it out. Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your day 💖
Where can I buy that?
Was great to get an idea of how far your beard trimmed at each step. Thank you for the demonstration.
Thank you for watching 👍
The transition from 2 to 1 is the only one I really felt
Ruthless difference 🤣🤣
trying to find out if I should do 2 or 3 this was the most helpful vid i found
I prefer 1.5 better than number 1. I used to go for number 1 beard trim. But then I later realised it's too short. And there's no beard left. So now, Everytime I go for a haircut and beard trim. I always go for 1.5 on the beard. It's a decent length!
Hey how do I get a 1.5 ? Doing a haircut I got it wrong messed up and I think a 1.5 would go a long way to fix this.
@@frankmontez6853 What do you mean?
@@yaseenissa8155 i asked how can I get a 1.5 . The other guy the OP answered , just get a 1 turn lever up to get the next half a 1.5
@@frankmontez6853 you can also get Wahl 1.5 (4.5mm) guard , gives a crisper cut than a 1 with the lever open..
#3 or #4 was my favorite length. Suitable for formal and casual settings and for all seasons.
Yep! Love these shorter beard styles
@@LanDope I'm going to be stuck with that since my job allows a max of 0.5in
Yup I agree good call
Number 2 is the best 🔥
4:22 the moment he knew he fckd up, but thanks for the vid, I avoided a terrible mistake
I like the No 3, it's downright neat. But the No 4's cool too.
2 or 3 look the best. I'll keep it at 2, more of a clean look. Good video.
2 and 3 are probably the sweet spots for me as far as beard length goes. Thanks for watching!
@@LanDope trimmer name plz?
Thanks for the video bro, I genuinely needed to know the effects of the guards before trying on myself. Thanks for the education, hope your doing well my guy!
Thank you for watching, glad it helped!
Thank you for keeping it to the point, and not forgetting to mention the millimeters.
👌🏼 of course
Facts he did great
thank you so much, i didnt know what to with my beard and consitered shaving it even. did a 12 mm and ended up beautiful. thanks again
mad respect, deserves a like for the sacrifice
Thank you for your help brother 🙏 no one in UA-cam made a video like this. Was very helpful
I also have a similar video with an actual beard trimmer as well. Thank you for watching
I was debating over getting a beard trimmer or using the hair trimmer I already had. I just didn't know which guard to use. Your video took the guesswork out of it. Thanks so much!
Thank you bro. Your my go too guy for beard info 😂😅 still trying to learn the basics
Lol thanks for watching me! I'm still trying to learn along the way as well
@@LanDope your the pro! You got any tips on where I can find a beard trimmer with guards of up to 20mm? I can only find ones with guards going up to about 12 mm
Try looking up the Philip Norelco multigroom line up. I think the higher number ones have the adjustable dial with one guard that raises it and chanhes sizes. Idk how high they go up, but i'm pretty sure they go to 20. If not just use a hairclipper set with a lever lol
i needed this so bad
This was So helpful for me ! Now that I can actually grow a beard, I can start experimenting
Glad it helped!
Thank you for sacrificing your beard this video helped me out a lot!
This was very useful to see the different stages with the hair clippers. I will try this next time to get the length i need,,
👍🏼 i'm glad this video helped out the visual of different lengths
Great video just what I was looking for cutting a beard with hair clippers thanks a lot for posting 👍
Very interesting! THank you for helping many young people learn to shave using electric hair clippers incluidng myself!
Thank you for watching and commenting. Glad to know it helped 👌
Hey man I appreciate this video! I wanted to have my beard be shorter (it's currently at like a constant 4-6 inches) but didn't know what cutter guard will cut of what length, yeah it says 19mm but I couldn't grasp what that would look like. I think the 19 or 22 would be best for me! Thank you so much for sacrificing your beard for us man!
Thanks for watching man! I'm sure you're beard will look good at a 19 or 22 mm
That was very helpful - thanks, man.
I knew exactly what MM I needed to have the look I wanted.
Glad to hear man!
The perfect video I was searching for! Thanks!
Not perfect for me. It’s be SO much better if he didn’t have a weak beard. I mean, great concept and decent execution of it in a video, but if he had like a full beard and mustache (like if the REST of his beard was as thick and full as is on his chin) this would have been a closer to perfect video. As it stands, it’s not that helpful when looking at beard length because the hair on his cheek s is already shorter and wispier so when he shortens the length there are already fewer hairs on the cheeks to begin with so the length proportions seem skewed.
Also, it was damn annoying watching him palm his beard half a dozen times after EACH trim as if he did have a fully thick beard. Like I guess he’s going that to uniformly show the length, but he was overdoing it and acting as if his beard was totally fully and thick when it’s clearly not at all
Ahhh man After many Searches i got the video i was looking for ❤️
Nice vídeo dude! Love this kind of videos, straight to the point! Thank you! Hope you are doing well!
Thank you for watching! And hope you are doing well as well!
Your a legend for making this video
I do a 3 on the sides with a longer 6 on the chin for a bit of an angular look.
Nice! I tried leaving the chin slightly longer recently
I generally trim mine to 3 mm,I trimm it every week,I have pretty much a permanent stubble look this way
Where hav you bought clips from
@@vanshmalhotra1091Depends on your brand, some brands include free clippers / guards for you
Best one i have seen to start
Great video man
Yahi to dhoondh rha tha ❤❤
Thanks brother. I appreciate your effort 😌❤️
Thanks; was looking for a how to with my new beard and new clipper set. The angle of the tool was what I was missing
I'm glad it helped!
Awesome liked it very much. Bro you look good with beard than without.
Loved it 3mm and 6mm suites u great bro and also I prefer this for my beard
what a great idea for a video!
Thank you for watching!
Good video bro! Helped me out!👍
Thanks for the guidance bro❤
Thank you this video was very helpful
I think that #2-4 looks best on you.
bro could you do a video like this and instead of going against the grain, do with the grain? I’m sure other people are wondering what it looks like as well, thanks
Could you explain your experience, ergonomically, using 3 different style of cutting devices such as hair clippers, Brio, or Philips? I am looking to cut on a regular basis to keep hair growth a 5mm and 3mm length. Cheers
If you're looking for that length the majority of the time I would honestly recommend the Philips due to the cheaper cost, but the Brio is what I would recommend the most for beard purposes if price doesn't matter. It's has good weight to it and the battery life is incredible + more options due to the adjuster and extra guards. Only down side is you may need to purchase their Zero Blade if you care about getting a sharp line up as the standard blade comes 1 mm gapped.
Hair clippers would be great for longer beards due to the hair guards being mainly meant for head hair. Of course they can be used for shorter lengths as well, but keep in mind lining up can be a literal pain due to the nature of hair clippers being sharper especially when lining up the neck area. The biggest pro for hair clippers is that if you buy wired, they should last many times longer due to not having to worry about the battery life failing oved time since it won't have one.
Awesome reply. Thanks for your personal experience and suggestions regarding the clothes cuts, I do regularly do that with a razor blade. I would definitely go with a battery-operated device. Sounds like I will narrow down my choice between the Brio and a Philips. Thanks for your time. Keep up the great videos add enjoy your experience
Thanks for this man
I have this machine for haircutting. Thank you Bro 👍
Great video mate 👌
Great demo
Thanks for watching
If we shave (razor) our beard, the hair would grow thick the next time, cuz you cleared the whole skin...
And trimming the beard would maintain the hair composition
But my worry and question is, that would 0 number trimming change my hair composition?! Will it grow thicker ?!
I hope the thickness remains same cuz i am not cutting the from the grain
Just the length on the surface
Please tell.
I noticed that hair looks thicker at first when I shave with a razor compared to trimming down with a machine trimmer. Shaving with a razor does not actullay make your hair thicker, it just appears that way for the first few days after shaving
That's a myth, shaving does not make it grow thicker "the next time" what will help with growth and thickness is a good beard oil followed with a good beard butter used daily...if you use one infused with CBD it will strengthen it and help grow thicker and fill in patchy spots...cbd infused is very expensive tho...so i use a regular beard oil(from Fable beard and/or live bearded) twice a day...and use a cbd oil every other day at night before going to bed
this is such a great video, thnx man!!!!!!
Tip, ur supposed to do a downwards motion with the clippers
6&7 looked the best on you!
2 looks good 👍
Number 3 looks so beautiful for sides👌🏻
It's a nice length for the beard!
@@LanDope are you Mexican

sheesh good looks w the video bro nobody really made a video demo like this
Thanks man 👍🏼 did one with a beard trimmer and of course this with the hair clippers
Bruh when you started to give the review from the last guard, it made me laugh so hard 🤣🤣 I could see your disappointment and mood change from the beginning. I'm not one to laugh at someone's pain but that was funny 😅
Lol 😅 my face was hurting from the guards and I usually don't like my facial hair that short
Thanx alot was too helpful Thanx alotttt!❤
thanks broski
Good guide
So you buzz upwards and I thought to buzz downwards. Of course I have a sparse beard and need all I can get, so if I went upwards, it might take to much off. Maybe downward just trims the wild hairs.
I go against the grain because that's the best way to trim and shave. Yes going with the grain or downward it will probably cut off the fly away hairs
@@LanDope I wrote the comment before you were done, not knowing you were taking it all off. Then I understood going upward……..lol!
😅😅 lol yes i get ahead of myself as well when thinking about writing comments on videos as well
Difference between 1 and 2 is insane 🤣
Wow. You look better without the beard. I'm inspired because I've been told the same, and I shrugged it off. See it from a different perspective was interesting. Thanks
Hello! I’ve been growing my beard for about 2 years and I’ve trimmed it up with scissors and comb but was wondering how to use the Hair clipper like in this video. I know you said the lever in the side doesn’t matter but I don’t want to screw up my beard by having the blade to Long with the side lever and also what is a good size blade guard to use! My beard looks a little unkempt and want it nice
The lever up high is only about half a week growth difference between the guard that is on. And it really depends how long you want your beard. The longest here with hair clippers is a number 8 which is about 1 inch lenght. If you want something longer then I would advice to buy larger guards on amazon. The largest guard I have found is 3 inches/number 24. They sell them in packs with other larger guards
@@LanDope thank you
Are you sure that was 3mm? In your other beard trimming video with the beard trimmer, your beard looks a bit longer at 3mm. Great video btw
Thank you. And maybe this being a hair clipper and the other being a beard trimmer had something to do with it looking a bit longer on the other? I'm not entirely sure honestly, but I know a #1 in a hair clipper is 3 mm
@@LanDope yeah maybe that could be the reason. Thanks for answering and hopefully you start uploading again
Thank you
Dope content
#3 or 4 looked the best
best video!!!!!
Thank you🌹
Thanks
What’s the clipper you’re using and where do I get it ?
Wahl Magic Clip. Cheapest would probably be eBay. I think Sally's beauty shop may have them but not 100% sure
How long before the corded Magic Clip gets hot?😊
I never paid much attention to that, hut you can get a fade in before it gets too hot!
@@LanDope ok
Number 4 is good
outstanding video, i ❤️ it.
Hi Friend,
Can you suggest a trimmer which can also act as a thinner for those whose beard is thick?
I don't know of any trimmer that can make your beard thinner. The best I can suggest is to buy some hair thinning scissors
#2 is as short as I will go...Thats with the grain! Like to keep it a little fuller!
I'll settle for No 2 guard thanks ! 😊
Legend
Going a breard for the first time .. it growing for 3 months and I bought a Remington Mb320c cordless breard trimmer to trim it .. do it make a difference which trimmer u buy .. and do u Always trim upwards from u neck to your face... and do you brush it first before trimming ...
It shouldn't matter what trimmer you use, although higher priced ones usually cut better I would assume. I usually go up first since it's aginst the grain of the direction my hair grows. I also go in all different directions after. I don't usually brush it but of course you can if you'd like
@@LanDope thanks for the information and replying...
Bro i have a massive acne on my face, and the beard and moustache is with High patches on my righthalf of the face , can u please suggest me to trigger my problem
Are you shaving with the lever close ? Thanks just curious cool content
Yeah lever is closed. And thanks!
@@LanDope no thankyou 👍👍
what would 4mm be and 7mm be on the normal hair machine?
I believe the closest would 1 for 4 mm guard and 2 guard for 7 mm, but both with the leaver just less than halfway open
Nice bro thank you i liked and subbed
Thanks man 👍🏼
2 looks good on you…thanks
Thanks for watching!
I been using 2 as well
Nice! Good length
Should u alwas do goatee same length as beard ? One of my barber friends told me not to touch the goat for sum reason
It really depends on how you want to shape it. It may give off a look that your jaw and chin are a little stronger than it is since the goatee area would be longer. I usually just keep mine the same length. You can always experiment of course
Can you please tell me which company trimmer you have or link to buy this trimmer please
This trimmer is called Wahl Magic Clip. It is actually a hair clipper, there are better trimmers out there intended for the beard
@@LanDope Thanks, bro 😊
