- We chat via Zoom with Chris Motionless as he tells us about life in lockdown and working on new Motionless In White music remotely. Plus, we reflect on the huge success of the single 'Another Life', taken from the album 'Disguise', and it's incredible remix by Beartooth's Caleb Shomo. Finally, we look towards the upcoming tenth anniversary of MIW's debut album 'Creatures', how Chris reflects on that landmark record and what he has in store to celebrate the occasion.

Chris has such a drive for new music and touring, he never gives up and that’s what I love about him.
Chris is my favourite vocalist ever. Motionless in white is my favourite band ever. I will always follow this band no matter what, even if now they are a more industrial metal band at the moment

I always enjoy seeing Chris without his makeup on. I can so relate to Another Life.
A few years ago, for a long time, Motionless In White was my second favourite band after Asking Alexandria (hence the username), but it's just things like how much MIW cares for its fans that solidifies it at the top spot. The former completely ignores and shrugs off long time fans' wishes, but MIW man! Creatures isn't even my favourite album, but the way you guys choose to honour and reward your long time fans is so admirable and respectable! As far as public figures go, Chris is one of my favourite people. Love all of you guys and very excited to hear what's next.

All their albums are good but nothing beats Creatures. Such a great album, every song is just a banger
JD produced Undead Ahead 2, which is one of the best songs off the last record - so that's pretty sick.

Creatures was their best album hands down. It doesn't matter how much the band disagrees, they wouldn't be where they are without it. I'm stoked they're sticking through with the anniversary unlike the promised SWS 10th anniversary as well. Including with BVB, lots of great masterpieces were made in 2010 ✌🏼

Creatures was good. Not great, just good. Song writing wasn't as great as in the newer songs also the sound of the instruments didn't just sound that great. I love some of the songs from it but it is flawed
Discovered MIW during quaratine watching Asking Alexandria videos & MIW was a recommendation. I'm not a typical MIW fan, 4 yrs older then Chris but he is god dame handsome

Sooooooooooooooooooo, does this mean JD is done in INK?
A recent Instagram live with Patrick (Drummer of INK) he mentioned how JD has moved onto producing but will still contribute to the writing process of Ice Nine Kills, as well as the Production process (As well as the Newer Lineup of the band will be apart of that product) But he will not be a touring member. All in all happy for the guy!
@@gutcheckfm Gotcha. Damn, to be honest, I'm happy for him on a personal level. But in my selfish fan perspective, man that really hurts INK imo. I mean his writing will at least keep them consistent, but without his vocals I really feel like the final product will greatly struggle to live up to the stuff he provided vocals for. Again, not to discredit the lineup as it is now, but I really feel JD and Spencer were by far the best vocal duo to ever grace a Metalcore song together. So losing 1 of them I think is gonna be detrimental to them going forward

@@jnvitkauskas1 as I mentioned, as long as JD is still writing and producing the band I see no worries other than the screams being lacking. The new band can handle themselves just fine, and I'm not trying to discredit the level of talent that exists there. Unfortunately, at least in my eyes, JD left such a big impact on INK's sound that I have a hard time believing they'll live up to how great JD and Spencer sounded.

I think we was talking about heavy music as a genre. Obviously Motionless and Beartooth aren’t any kind of Death or Black Metal but in comparison to all genres of music, non metal included, they’re heavy.
I mean heavy can be more than just instrumentation, it could also mean lyrically, etc.
