i missed my chance to meet him last time i saw them but i met LJ witherspoon from Sevendust Also an amazing and genuine person. Would LOVE to see them do a song together.
Absolute amazing interview. Agreed that Chris is a gem of a human being. He has to be the smoothest most down to earth guy ever. Congrats on all the success. Well deserved. Come to Nashville again. I won't miss it this time.
He does seem like a sweetheart, from other things I've read about him it goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover. I'm similar but the opposite 😂 I look geeky as hell. During my school years in English class we had to do a talk on a subject of our choice, the look on my teachers face when I let Trivium play (this was back in 2006) she said she thought I'd like pop music 😂
I went to a show of theirs about a decade ago now and he stopped the set to help a girl who was getting tossed around up front. Saw him at the merch table later and told him it was cool of him and he gave me a big hug. The dude is awesome.
Mental health is a huge thing and I'm so thankful Chris motionless is talking about this. Many members have mental problems and that's why I support them. They are very handsome, very lovely and very comfortable with the fans. I'm very glad to be a part of this wonderful community ❤
I love that Chris is one of those rock artists that never let go of their passion for emotions and everyday problems. I’ve seen so many become bland and let go of themselves. Having someone who’s still that representation of like 2000’s emo makes me feel like there’s hope. New alt culture seems like it wants to glorify pills and depression and suicide and it’s honestly so hard for me to sit in there, I can’t stand it! Thank you so much for being you Chris ‘:)
Amazing interview! And he is correct! "THE FUCKING LYRICS!" they are AMAZING! Definitely gives me chills and makes me tear up, there is so much energy in those lyrics. Chris is such a beautiful person, I cant wait to see them this Friday!!!!
I'd love to go see them sometime, but unfortunately I have very severe anxiety around people. It's so bad I can't even leave the house on my own, so I have no way to see a band live, unless I buy it on DVD. 😂 ..not quite the same though I'm sure.
Saw them in San Diego. Was super shocked and stoked that Chris remembered me from the first time I met him. He’s super sweet. All the guys are. And the fucking lyrics to ALL of these songs are just .... so from the heart !!!
It's hard to find someone as kind and genuine as Chris - glad you've experienced this first hand!! Sounds like San Diego was an awesome show. SOLD OUT!
I met him and the rest of the band 6 years ago at the hard rock in Orlando. Didn't need VIP. They hung out with the audience after the show. I think they wanted to watch other sets as well. Very nice people. It was honestly shocking that they were so chill and had to get back on the road that same night
Nick is a great interviewer. He asks good questions in a way that can get Chris to talk for awhile, and everyone likes Chris talking. Love it. And we all know the “mysterious 2020 thing” is a Creatures 10 year anniversary 😎 Edit: fuck 2020 so far. Might not happen now :( RE: Edit: The Creatures 10th anniversary Deadstream was amazing!
I could listen to Chris Motionless talk all day. What a genuinely beautiful human being, inside and out. How have I not seen this interview before? Your questions and observations were just great too. CM just floors me with his sincerity. And he just feels like such a wholesome, real person. I don't know if that makes any sense. lol
Not only are kids in high school from when you guys started but kids who listened to you guys when they were in high school are now in their 20s forming their own bands
Great hair, great make-up and overall Chris looks amazing, seems like he is in a good spot right now, mentally and looks wise. Honestly, happy to see that! Loved the Europe tour, saw MIW in UK at O2 Forum, they def gave 110%, their warm up bands were great choice and I sang my heart out. This interview was so well done, thank you, Nick for such insightful questions and Idobi for putting this up!
I'm glad he's doing better mentally too. Unfortunately for me I've had many of my mental illness for nearly 20 years so it's going to take a very long time to get better. I refuse to take the medications.
I love engaging interviews like this where the interviewer is clearly also a fan and interested and you can see a connection happening, he is not just asking questions to tick boxes. Great interview, shows the compassionate, loving and humble human being Chris is and how important it is to share these messages that can help so many people especially young people who must be so confused and disappointed by society right now
I'm from Pennsylvania as well as Chris and he was always this kind guy with a big heart and understanding of my condition autism and depression and anxiety he is all around the most compassionate person and down to earth and loving and he understood me with my condition when I met him and made me smile and laugh and helped me his band is so awesome
His people that are close to him and explained to Chris what therapy can look like and that can be good too was awesome because I had the same/thoughts about it and never said anything or got help so I know how it feels. 🤘🏼
I’ve been a fan since I was 14-15 and I’m about to turn 22; Chris has always been such an inspiring person and artist to me and Motionless is one of only 2-3 bands that I’ve stayed very connected to over the years where I’ve really gotten into each and every song off of every album that I’ve yet to get tired of when they come on. I’m so hyped for my husband and I to see them in 5 days in Charlotte, NC; it’ll be my 4th or 5th time and I get just as amped up every time I get to listen live as I was my very first time (had my poor sweet dad drive me to the wee little Orange Peel in Asheville 3 hours away so I could see these wonderful guys -best small crowd concert ever; such an intimate experience that I’ll forever be grateful to have been a part of).
Not going to lie- this man has saved my life more times than I can count. Thank you for the amazing lyrics that many of us can always relate to. They strike things in me that I never knew how to feel. Doubtful you’ll see this but thank you for everything. Keep on with the amazing music!
Had the pleasure to talk to Chris after a show in Dublin once and he was a very encouraging cool guy always Been amazed by his lyrical and vocal ability
Im trying not to cry while watching this. Honestly hes so right.. I have been told so many times im not alone but sometimes it's hard to say "okay I'm not the only one that deals with this"
I had the pleasure of meeting the band twice and they are the sweetest, most down-to-earth, and genuine guys to talk to. I would give the world to meet them multiple times again in the future. And yes, for everyone wondering, they give THE BEST hugs. I don’t love very many people but these men and their crew members are some of the people I love with all my heart, hands down. Please, if you get the chance to meet these men, DO GO AND MEET THEM. You won’t regret it. I promise.
I'm an aging pop-punk and metalcore musician, having just turned 40. I still have friends touring, so I still get to run into a lot of bigger artists like I had when performing. So, I keep my finger on the pulse of the scene still, as best I can... I say all this to say that this dude is super humble, and dare-I-say, happy? He routinely shouts out other bands, doesn't gatekeep, and genuinely seems to really appreciate his fans. That's awesome. When I was playing in metalcore bands, there was absolutely an aire of condescension i.e. people seemed to be as interested in labeling people posers as they were playing music. This dude doesn't seem like that at all, though. Very cool.
Chris is probably my most favorite human beeing ever. My favorite band and he is such a big hearted guy it's amazing. I hope I have the opportunity to finally to go to concert after all I have endured so far. Would love it. A bit hard as a German to get to you guys but I figure something out :) Best wishes!!!
Interviewer does an amazing job. A perfect blend of acknowledgement, respect, banter & informative journalism. Chris is brilliant too. Seems one of the nicest and most genuine people in the industry
Chris is amazing but the interviewer is too! He asked such good and important questions. It sorta took me by surprise to see such good journalism on UA-cam. Awesome job that only got really complex answers from Chris ❤️
You can see tears starts to form and chris get chocked up when he speaks about life his connections and his experiences. Such an authentic person. I appreciate this interview so much. What a phenomenal conversation. Props to nick for being an amazing interviewer. ❤️
I absolutely love this band I was second row of people on the portland show (sold out) amazing band I love chris he looked at me and smiled in the middle of eternally yours..... deadass made me cry
I fucking love Chris Motionless. What a humble and standup guy. I will never get enough of this band. So sad I can't make it Sep. 18 to see them in Fort Wayne, IN because I will be in Noblesville, IN at the Trivium, Megadeth and Lamb of God Concert. But I will see Motionless before long.
It has been a long time since I've loved every damn song on an album and I love that I got to see this interview. Just makes me respect it all that much more
Cara Stone I know but I’m saying that Chris and the Joker are both sexy. I’m not saying they’re the same person. Because obviously they’re not. I was just talking about their looks.
Ya know you listen to the music and see the posts and promotions on social media and whatnot. But when you watch something like this you can start to understand the humanity behind all these people. In the video he seems so intelligent and transparent and kind. You can tell he’s learned a lot over the years and is also willing to share the depths of his intellect and emotional side and I respect the shit out of that🃏💯
I absolutely loved this interview! Nick, you are so fun to watch and I love how down to earth you are and the amount of interest you show in everything Chris talks about. I love that he is able to open up about some of the things he's been battling over the past few years. And I completely agree: Disguise is by far the best album they've ever done! Can't wait to see them again :)
Great interview Nick! And it was awesome to see this side of Chris! It's always amazing when people are able to open up and be honest about themselves. No one, Chris included, should ever feel shamed for dealing with things. Life is hard enough already, let alone without avenues to release all the shit we go through.
Great interview! Awesome questions and great answers. I love when a interviewer asks loaded questions and actually gives the interviewee a chance to give a solid put together answer without interrupting.
Loved the interview, really made my day. I could listen to Chris talking for hours lke it's just so fascinating what he has to say. Not to mention that he is such a lovely person to talk to. Every time when I'm thinking "there's no way I can love this band any more than I already do" I get to see an interview like this that makes it evident all over again why they are still one of my favorites! Even after all these years, Motionless In White still give me this feeling of "fuck them all, who cares if I look different, I can achieve whatever I want to" and they have a special place in my heart for that. Can't wait to see them play in Europe again (please let them tour with Stick To Your Guns here as well cause that'd just be perfect okay)
I'm greatful for everything Chris and Motionless In White (and all ex members) did for their fans! Back in 2010 before they were that big, they tried to be there for their fans as much as possible. Of course, when there are too many fans, it's not possible to take care of everyone.
I really enjoyed watching this interview! Wish it could've been an hour but 20 minutes is awesome. Chris is just an amazing human. Never fake always real in what he says
“I decided I’m not gonna stop doing it, I’m gonna keep going, and I just made some changes here and there and it was still really fun and really powerful” (8:52 - 9:00) I currently have a really bad phase & I found their new album and the songs are everyday a kind of support for me and now I know that he once needed the same and the fact that he feels better now is so inspiring. Listening to their songs makes me feel so much better, I’m so grateful I’ve found their music💜
Disguise has hit me in a way that I'm in tears almost every time I play it. So proud of the guys and especially how Chris is facing his demons and that art helps him too. The love and motivation this album gives me....words defy me. I love you guys. Love from English Madcow in UK x
CHICAGO'S RIOT FEST!!! To me, it's the step up from warped tour. So many great bands play there and they always manage to reunite old bands or breakup bands together. Look up the past line ups. MIW should play Chicago's Riot Fest.
okay but this is my favorite interview across all bands these questions were all great and that you’re actually interested in hearing his responses👏🏻👏🏻😄
Phenomenal!!! I was in Grand Rapids MI. KICK A$$!!! You are really talented Chris! we drove almost 400 miles round trip to see you! and would drive further next time if need be!
I’ve met him 3 times. Till this day the nicest person I’ve met. I’ve met sooo many bands but MIW and Chris... number 1 nicest band and person.
i missed my chance to meet him last time i saw them but i met LJ witherspoon from Sevendust Also an amazing and genuine person. Would LOVE to see them do a song together.
I met BVB they made me cry they were so passive 😂😂 so i see what you mean he seems down to earth tbh
Devin Moore he is????
Siren Roseline definitely.
i hope i can see him in real life someday
10 YEAR CREATURES ANNIVERSARY TOUR AAAAHHHH
My fingers are crossed so hard for this I don't even know how I'm typing.
I fucken hope so! I have the whole album tattoo on my arm. By far my favorite album by any band ever, I really hope it happens
If I could meet anyone in the world, it would be Chris Motionless
I've met him a few times Chris is so nice actually all them are super nice
I have met him. God he is a amazing man
Hope you can meet him soon! He's awesome to meet 😊
I’ve met Møtionless in white plenty of time to know that they are such sweethearts and so genuine
I have never seen a bad interview with chris . His demeanor and center of gravity is inspirational.
Absolute amazing interview. Agreed that Chris is a gem of a human being. He has to be the smoothest most down to earth guy ever. Congrats on all the success. Well deserved. Come to Nashville again. I won't miss it this time.
Thanks for checking out the chat, glad you enjoyed!! What a well-spoke and overall awesome guy Chris is.
He does seem like a sweetheart, from other things I've read about him it goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover.

Im 55yrs old and a MIW fan. Its refreshing to see a well spoken intelligent front man
Mental health is a huge thing and I'm so thankful Chris motionless is talking about this. Many members have mental problems and that's why I support them. They are very handsome, very lovely and very comfortable with the fans. I'm very glad to be a part of this wonderful community ❤
He's so ludicrously nice and well-spoken it's not even funny.
I love that Chris is one of those rock artists that never let go of their passion for emotions and everyday problems. I’ve seen so many become bland and let go of themselves. So happy you'll be seeing them! Gonna be an amazing Friday. And they really outdid themselves with 'Disguise'!!
I'd love to go see them sometime, but unfortunately I have very severe anxiety around people. It's so bad I can't even leave the house on my own, so I have no way to see a band live, unless I buy it on DVD. 😂 ..not quite the same though I'm sure.
Props to Nick making this not an interview but an organic conversation. That's when you know you're doing good things
well said!
Saw them in San Diego. Was super shocked and stoked that Chris remembered me from the first time I met him. He’s super sweet. All the guys are. And the fucking lyrics to ALL of these songs are just .... so from the heart !!!

Aussi Jean they’re all nice??
Alot of people say oh yes I remember you so they don't look like a schmuck!

Chris is so humble and open minded love to see this dialogue
HE SAID FOR THE NEXT ONE- THERES GONNA BE ANOTHER ALBUM OMG ( 15:39 )
I didn't even pick up on that until I was editing this haha!!
-Nick
Chris motionless totally seems down to earth, someone you can relate to on a deep level. Very intelligent, talented person. Much respect
Motionless/In this moment/ New Year’s Day/ DED was pretty badass
This interviewer is??? So good??? He really managed to connect to Chris so well and so sincerely ❤ bless
Great hair, great make-up and overall Chris looks amazing, seems like he is in a good spot right now, mentally and looks wise. Honestly, happy to see that! Great makeup? Dude just ripped of Marilyn Manson’s look for a new generation. Nothing unique.
@@phidipidies ok boomer
As far as I am aware this make-up look isn't copyrighted, everything else is just my and your opinion. Let's agree to disagree.
I'm glad he's doing better mentally too. Unfortunately for me I've had many of my mental illness for nearly 20 years so it's going to take a very long time to get better. I refuse to take the medications.
him talking about mental health is very comforting bc it’s so relatable in the songs

UA-cam: oh , did you want to see this ?
Chris is the most amazing human🖤🖤
When parents say these people ruin the world I show them this.
Watching this in 2021... and concerts are slowly starting to come back amid the covid crisis...

Awesome to hear Chris mention going to a Silverstein show. I didn't know he liked them.
Every interview I have seen of him, he seems like the chillest and most sincere guy.

I love how down to earth and real Chris is. I love his personality and how he's honest about everything. I love Chris so much!
I can listen to Chris all time nonstop
Amazing interview!! Great conversation and vibe, lifted my spirits too
Appreciate the kind words!! Glad it left you feeling great! :)
Anyone else notice how many of his tattoos are being lasered off?
As long as "Boys Kiss" is still there, I'll be okay
stostone pretty sure he covered or removed that ages ago
What a great interview! Chris is such a wonderful person, and I’m excited for this “mystery” he teased hahaha 🤘🏽🖤
Glad you enjoyed the chat and thanks for checking it out!! Very excited to see what this "MYSTERY" is. Like.... I AM READY TO KNOW RIGHT NOW.

this interviewer asks really compelling questions and Chris is great at reciprocating best interview I've seen in years
Chris is just fascinating
It has been a long time since I've loved every damn song on an album and I love that I got to see this interview. Just makes me respect it all that much more
Chris looking more like joker everyday lol
Ridge Nappier he’s sexy AF leave him alone
Cara Stone okay but the joker is sexy af too lmfaooo
Christina Stanifer the joker isn’t chris. Completely different person and vibe.
Cara Stone I know but I’m saying that Chris and the Joker are both sexy. I’m not saying they’re the same person. Because obviously they’re not. I was just talking about their looks.
Even in the song "loud" the lyrics are "let's put a smile on that faccce"
Kick ass interview dude those questions were so good you even got chris blushing 🙌🏽

Great interview Nick! And it was awesome to see this side of Chris! It's always amazing when people are able to open up and be honest about themselves. Such an amazing being. These are the finer things of sharing the void❤
Good interview! Good interviewer and Chris is such a good guy I love it
i love chris. his music and band makes me so happy. i personally love creatures and disguise, my two favorite albums 🖤🤍
Honestly best interview. I love these questions just wow.
Great interview! Awesome questions and great answers. I love when a interviewer asks loaded questions and actually gives the interviewee a chance to give a solid put together answer without interrupting.
Thank you to both of you for allowing this conversation to happen. ❤️ We need more of this!
Loved the interview, really made my day. I could listen to Chris talking for hours lke it's just so fascinating what he has to say. Not to mention that he is such a lovely person to talk to. Chris has helped SO many people. He seems so genuine and kind and so many people need that. He's always been very comforting to me
He's wonderful he's a lot of things. Makes me happy

Chris is such a genuinely sweet person, it’s especially rare that a frontman be as nice & down to earth as he is. ❤️❤️
Such a great humble man. Always loved him from day 1! Just saw him in Grand Rapids, Michigan with beartooth! Was totally sick!!
I really enjoyed watching this interview! Wish it could've been an hour but 20 minutes is awesome. Chris is just an amazing human. Never fake always real in what he says
all of these guys are so awesome!
“I decided I’m not gonna stop doing it, I’m gonna keep going, and I just made some changes here and there and it was still really fun and really powerful” (8:52 - 9:00)
I currently have a really bad phase & I found their new album and the songs are everyday a kind of support for me and now I know that he once needed the same and the fact that he feels better now is so inspiring. One of the best interviews I’ve ever seen. I literally never click on IG ads but the preview caught my attention. So worth it. Amazing job 👏🏼
this is the best interwier chris ever had. he is so relaxed he talks about deep things easily, no confusen! I love it! thax for that!!
My biggest Inspiration, I will get my band up there so I can play a show with him💪
Yes I agree it is the best album you guys have put together by far. I love this album so much
I absolutely cannot wait to see them in Atlanta!
CHICAGO'S RIOT FEST!!! To me, it's the step up from warped tour. So many great bands play there and they always manage to reunite old bands or breakup bands together. Look up the past line ups. MIW should play Chicago's Riot Fest.
