- Motionless In White frontman Chris Motionless chats to us about the band's upcoming new album 'Scoring The End Of The World', featuring the recent singles 'Cyberhex and 'Masterpiece'. He tells us about the writing process, visual concept and the record's collaborations with Beartooth's Caleb Shomo, Knocked Loose's Bryan Garris and composer Mick Gordon. Plus, he tells us about the band's Trinity Of Terror tour with Ice Nine Kills and Black Veil Brides and looks forward to their appearance at Bring Me The Horizon's Malta Weekender event.

I can't express how much I like Chris. Such an amazing human being. The interview was also VERY well done. Really dug into the headspace of the band for this record. I felt the interviewer was well spoken and you could feel his excitement. Great progression of questions. Well done Rock Sound.
I love how Chris really seems honest, down to Earth and humble. I have been listening to Cyberhex on the treadmill everyday! Gets you amped up!
Puppets 2 is the heaviest one I think. Those vocals before the 2nd chorus and at the end are pure insanity.
Fatal is up there as well. Infamous had a lot of rippers

Just saw black veil brides, ice nine kills, three days grace, and motionless in white in St. Augustine for the first time ever. It was my first ever concert too! All of them are amazing bands that know how to perform their hearts out! But motionless in white has become my new favorite band, looking forward to seeing them again.
Also can we talk about how great of a person and artist Chris is? So much passion in his music

Chris is such a sweetheart. Musicians with this genre typically get a bad rap, but when you actually hear him speak you can tell how well educated he is, he's so incredibly well spoken and his voice is soft.
I'm sure the rest of the band is great, but I've not seen many interviews with them 😂
I think it's difficult to pinpoint their heaviest song. Being that "Burned at both ends" is a different kind of heavy than "Break the cycle" or "soft" or ""Immaculate misconception " etc. But I can say that Motionless in White can get away with about any type of genre at this point. I like the party vibes, the smash stuff vibes, the deep feels vibes, and whatever. They have fun playing, we have fun listening. One thing is for sure, they're consistently Motionless in white.
Right. Like every song is so different but the second any song by them is played you know it's MIW immediately regardless of the sound. Like Cyberhex Vs City Lights. Very different but you know it's the same band regardless of how different they are.

At the St Augustine leg of Trinity of Terror, Chris saw a guy with a sign asking to come on stage and said "I can't because of COVID but when we come back through (and we will) remind me and I'll bring you up here." Just a class act all around. Phenomenal performer. Edit: sp
The legs of the tour refer to the different sections they do, usually north america, Europe, asia etc... It'd be the st Augustine show/stop for a specific city.
The concept "the world outside/ the world inside" is a great metaphore as the world inside reflects on the outside and viceversa, especially in these difficult years! Greetings from Italy! When will you come back to Italy???

One thing I love about bands is them being able to be versatile...hit me with a heavy song I can just lose my shit too, and then hit me with something within and in the feels...and Motionless in White definitely checks all those boxes. I feel like some people are saying “they aren’t heavy anymore” but heavy also includes heavy with emotion, instruments of course, and heavy with lyrics

Favorite song is thoughts and prayers until I heard masterpiece!! I think motionless in white and Memphis May Fire are the two best bands in the business!! Chris and matty are by far my favorite vocalist only behind chad grey of mudvayne and Hellyeah!! ( rest in piece vinnie Paul!)

Chris is such a genuine person with so much vocal talent. Masterpiece is the best but I love a majority of MIW tracks. Those three bands are in my top five favorite bands and wish I could go if was not so physucally sick all the time.
It's so hard to choose what song is the heaviest when it comes to Motionless. That being said, every song they have come out with is in my opinion heavy since the guys put so much effort and attention into creating and performing it.
I’ve always loved (sorry if cringe) Chris since I saw his interview with Amprocktv here on UA-cam many many years ago. I love what he stands for & the messages he puts out with this amazing band. Will always consider myself a creature 🖤
They've found balance with their sound and it's fantastic to listen to.
"Soft" is indeed their heaviest song!!! It has a Slipknot groove similar to "Heretic Anthem" and it's played in Drop A as well..a certified banger of a track IMO🤘! "Abigail" would be a close second too.

I love Chris, he seems so down to Earth. I have that same ring he has on, my bff got it for me for my birthday. The new album is so awesome!! Masterpiece's lyrics are beyond ethereal. The lyrics are so relatable on so many levels.
I grew up with Chris , Angelo , Ballz and Ryan went to school with them .. And I always remember saying one day Chris Cerulli he’s going to make a big in the music industry him and Angelo Parenti were best of friends.. every single one of them especially Chris and Angela are such down to earth people so nice and just real!!! Awesome people
I love how diverse MIW's music is like you can tell the songs they produce are their own but they're all so different, I think as far as the most heavy song goes its probably immaculate Misconception or Soft
Masterpiece hands down my favorite love the vocal soft to metal completely loved it my husband's sings that one song everyday he told me he rally understands the lyrics and were its coming from and he can't wait he is 28 and has never been to a concert but really can't wait for tickets to motionless in white

Scissorhands helped me a lot while having panic attacks during the pandemic. Creatures and Graveyard Shift as albums, helped me to get through my first year of my doctorate in neuroscience, and Sinematic made me realize that my abuser in 2020-21, was using my original research ideas against me to try and land me in the hospital and move on to the next woman. So, I think there is a lot of therapeutic value in music and applying it to your life, but personally for me, the heaviest song is Scissorhands for sure.

I do enjoy the heavy songs but my absolute favorites are the softer that hits right in the feels and Masterpiece is definitely my favorite song so far....keep it up!

I’d honestly say their heaviest would be puppets 3; it’s really easy to say that because Dani filth is on that song. Puppets 2 is a close 2nd but you can’t get much heavier than the 3rd. Fatal also comes close; I absolutely loved that song. Sick from the melt will always be their hidden gem I wish they played more of.

Now, maybe I missed it, but can someone tell me where they discussed 'Masterpiece' in here? I heard them talk about the collabs on the rest of the album and Cyberhex, but I never heard them mention Masterpiece and I really wanna know how that one came about. It's so beautiful and raw, like it could be told from either lover's perspective and I love it.

Masterpiece sounds as if it's inspired by Breaking Benjamin from the album's such as Phobia and Dear Agony, but mainly the lyrics. I personally never was much of a fan of Motionless in White, but I really love the sound! It's more of a melodic style. It's something different in an awesome way. Chris should definitely do a collaboration with Burnley Benjamin one day. That will be wicked!
