  • FDNY ladder 123 crazy ride
A crazy ride that turned out to be nothing, cancelled prior to arrival to the box. Greatest house in the whole city.
The New York City Fire Department, formally the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) has the responsibility of protecting the citizens and property of New York City's five boroughs from fires and fire hazards, providing emergency medical services, technical rescue as well as providing first response to biological, chemical and radioactive hazards. The department has its headquarters in 9 MetroTech Center, Downtown Brooklyn,[3] and its training academy (The FDNY Fire Academy) on Randall's Island.[4]
The FDNY, the largest municipal fire department in the United States, and the second largest in the world after the Tokyo Fire Department, has approximately 11,080 uniformed officers and firefighters and over 3,300 uniformed EMTs and paramedics. It faces an extraordinarily varied challenge. In addition to responding to building types that range from wood-frame single family homes to high-rise structures, there are the many bridges and tunnels, large parks and wooded areas that can give rise to major brush fires, and one of the largest subway systems in the world. These challenges add yet another level of firefighting complexity and have led to the creation of the motto for FDNY firefighters of New York's Bravest.

Those PA300's get people's attention better than the electronic Q's seem to.

That's the PA300 I want! But that's not why I liked and favorite. Because it's a great video is why.

2000s NYC was still good. The 2010s is what really fucked the city up by those unnecessary overtall skyscrapers.

I don't care what they're going to blowing into a major intersection against the light with cars going by right in front of them and not stopping is asinine.

@@theamericanrailfan1071 No, it wasn't. I was on the job then, and the laws of physics, traffic, haven't changed.
What I will say, in fairness to the chauffeur, is that we are seeing a tightly zoomed camera image; we are not seeing a wide panned, peripheral / panoramic view of the intersections. In reality, they may be able to see whether the intersection is clear or not, before they approach it, as opposed to us watching it through a camera lens which is facing directly forward.
