    I'M BACK!
    I've upgraded my 2014 BMW G 650 GS with my dream bike! More on that in a future video...
    In this video I go over some equipment that has worked good and some that hasn't on the 650.
    Family, work and Ham Radio has kept me very busy the last few years. The only time I rode the 650 was to and from work, which I did a lot. But, my new bike has me pumped up with excitement and I'm looking forward in making new videos with it.

    Good luck with the new bike what ever it is but when the 650 goes then I shall also, it was the 650 that brought me here in the first place, ride safe.

    Really enjoyed your oil change video on this bike and was hoping for more. Sad to see you selling it. All the best in your new adventures with your new bike

      Many thanks! I did my clutch a few months back and grabbed some video of that. I just need to edit it.

    For how much money they want for those Givi cases, they look absolutely terrible. Thanks for showing us.

      I hope they made improvements over the years. These cases were bought in 2015.

      The nice thing about GIVI cases is that you can always find a used set, then you don't mind. That's what I did. Got two cases for basically the price of one new one.

    Oh boy, that's too bad - but I totally get it. Have really enjoyed all of your videos and found them incredibly useful. Good luck with the new bike (what did you get?!?) and look forward to seeing vids on that shortly.

    So... did you get a 1250 GS is the Question? Cool video, those 650 engines are pretty bullet proof. Nice video and nice Baofeng mod... Just need the police scanner now.

    Great video, thanks for sharing your experience. I currently own a G650GS and I am looking to upgrade the wind screen to a taller one like yours had in the video. I experience quite a bit of buffering with the stock screen (possibly because I'm on the taller side). In your experience, would you say it was worth the upgrade? Does it make a big difference?

      The aftermarket larger winshield moved the wind to the top of my helmet, which was better for long rides on the highway. I'm 5' 10" with a 31" inseam, so I would image if you're taller the wind might be lower on your helmet. The 650 GS as a whole puts a lot of wind on the rider. I never gave it much thought untill I upgraded to the 1250 GSA and I can now wear less layers to stay warm because the bike blocks so much wind. Thanks for checking out the video & channel!

    A way to fix the crash bars drill a hole in the plate the same size as the pipe and weld it on both sides it's only breaking because they didn't have there welder hot enough just make sure you grind all the old weld off first.

    Was wondering if you ever swapped the handlebars on your G650GS? I can't find any videos on the steps associated with stripping and remounting the controls and the BMW world can be a bit finicky. Thanks and hope you are enjoying your 1250. We keep one in Europe and love it.

      No, I've never replaced the 650's handlebars. I've made some adjustments and everything unbolts and becomes loose easily. The left grip will probably be the trickiest. Might want to get some new grips going into this project.

      What is it about the stock handlebar you aren't happy with? or is yours bent from a drop or something? mine have a 1" riser but are stock.

    Aren't those parts on the bags replaceable? So you can just order the damaged mounting tabs from givi and then the bag is as good as new again

    • @BikesCameraAdventure
      @BikesCameraAdventure  2 роки тому +1

      Not that I'm aware of and those bottom pieces are held in with some interesting rivets. I found this on the Givi website for replaceable parts: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0263/7053/9606/files/SPAREPARTS_OBKN37-OBKN48.pdf?1982

      Haha, yeah. I wonder if they even know this is a problem on high mileage 650’s?

    Were the g650gs clutch disks never changed? Or did you have any problems shifting? Thanks

    So… would you buy the g650gs again or did you find the vibration to be too much?

    • @BikesCameraAdventure
      @BikesCameraAdventure  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, I would buy one again. It was a great bike and did everything I wanted it to do and was reliable in doing it. But, my new bike the R 1250 GSA is an amazing upgrade and so much more fun to ride.

      I know no one asked me, but I would buy one again too. Liked it so much I bought two more BMW bikes, sold one, keeping the G650GS and the F700GS.

    Literally nothing about riding the moto for 70k+ miles. What a disappointment to the title. Channel feedback.
