My friend has F650GS and my son has the F700GS. The places we take them ! The bike can do just about anything oddly enough as I use KTM 790 Adv R. So I respect then. They get there and never break down.
It all depends on what you are doing and want to do. For off-road, I would take the thumper, but without spoked wheels and a 21" front how much are you really going to need the off-road difference. The F700 is a nice step up from the "650" twin. Although, the 800 is a big step up in suspension and off-road ability. But as before, it all comes down to what you plan to use it for.
So I started writing a multi-paragraph reply when you left this comment, and then my buddy shows up and announces he's having a baby and it all got lost in the chaos that followed. Long story short, I agree completely. F800 would have been another big step up, but too much of a step in a direction I don't see myself going any time soon so I think this is the right one for me right now :) It was a little more than I planned on spending, but still too good of a deal to pass up. Hopefully I can break even or get a little more than I spent on the F650GS to help a bit.
I tried testing that on the F650GS but could not get it to work. It could have been just my model or it's possible I was doing it wrong as I've never seen anyone do that. Thanks for letting me know, though!
I like it! I never understood why they don’t have self terminating turn signals on bikes other than Harley. Despite the parts you don’t like I think it’s pretty cool 😎
I had a 2013 f650 gs and I had self canceling I believe you can incorporate a relay , Ill agree with you on the height , and this bike is a bit of a beast , I have a 2003 r1150gs and a 2009 g650gs , the gs650 is a real fun bike but its got a couple quirks , the best thing is the theses bikes hold their value , I've had 2014 f800gs I loved that bike , iam5ft 11, the r1150gs is one hell of a bike , its heavy though, once its moving its like riding in a cloud , the g650gs is a great all around bike Gota love a thumper ,
Cool! Maybe I wasnt waiting long enough for the turn signals to self cancel or maybe this one (being older) didn't have that. Either way she's gone now and the F700GS is still with me and I'm very happy for the normal turn signal controls!
Don’t sell your G650GS. I sold my 2009 and regretted it. Six years later I bought a 2014 and think I’ll keep forever. Congrats on the new purchase(s). Lol!
Thanks! I agree! Looking at the G650GS for international travel where I want things to be as low tech and light weight as possible, and top speed isn't a top priority. Ideally would want to ride across Mexico on the G650GS in January 2023! I think the fact you bought one, sold it, and bought one again speaks volumes of how good of an all-round motorcycle it is.
@@YouMotorcycle I’m looking to do the same trip. So far I’ve bought an aftermarket skid plate, dry bags and rock straps. I’ll need some crash bars, a taller windscreen and deciding on hard or soft panniers. The bike came with bark busters. My last purchases will be a good two person tent and I’m asking for a Firebox stove for Father’s Day. 🤓👍
@@Theophilus1968 oh you're roughing it! I'm going to hopefully have a roof over my head all the way down and back, spend some time with friends in Cozumel before returning to the truck in Texas and driving back up for the rest of the Canadian winter
Admitting the problem is the first step to fixing it. LOL 😆 I can't criticize, over the past 4 years, I have had 5 new Indian motorcycles. But I'm over it, now owning and riding just one, a 2022 Super Chief.
@@YouMotorcycle I'm 5'10. Ran the numbers on the cycle ergo site and I think even with the 1.5" it would still be little lower than my Ninja 650 and I was hoping to go the other direction :( -- Regardless of what I end up buying though, comfort seat is an A++ must-have :D Thanks for the awesome info, and your video really helped me understand a few things about the GS line!
Of which bike? The Harley-Davidson V-Rod you mean? Yes, because this is a new bike reveal :) If you're interested about V-Rod maintenance and costs I have a video on that here: ua-cam.com/video/_x2L1sUUR-k/v-deo.html
I've read that the turn signals are supposed to be self cancelling, like on my V-Rod. Maybe I was too impatient because that didn't seem to work for me. It might have just been my bike that had the issue though. Thank you for the comment.

@@YouMotorcycle Congrats to your buddy!
actually the bmw have self closing signal, if you hold the turn signal for like 2 secs pressed , after about 200 meters or 10 sec they closing by self

Very versatile/capable bike! But when you have the option of a brand new one with nicer specs for a few grand more, it was too hard to turn down!
great bike! love the color. FYI Since September 2007, the Chinese manufacturer Loncin makes the GS engines (except the flat twins)
Thanks very much!
Nie do 700 gs a 800gs

Damn you're worse than me. We need help, or at least I really need one or two of these to sell. It's getting crowded!
This helped me. Thank you 😁
Glad it helped!
Has the 700 even had a service yet ??? Great acquisition Adrian 👍
lol, thank you, annual dealer service, owner was meticulous with it, we are still in touch
Looking good
The bikes or me? 😂
Pues déjame decirte que las luces direccionales si se apagan solas, por distancia recorrida una vez que bajas la velocidad.
They take forever compared to my Harley self cancelling signals, which are excellent
Lucky man you got very good deal 👌 👏 congratulations.
Thank you!
Pleasure bro...for get to write, colour combination is one of my favourite as well.
Enjoy this 700 is very good bike.
Thank you Masood, I just made a new video on the Akrapovic exhaust pipe I got for the F700GS, but honestly, kind of disappointed in it.
If this is the same bike that's listed on Marketplace right now, the only reason I haven't impulse bought it yet is that it's lowered 😭
Lol if you're in Toronto it might be! There's someone selling the taller seat though so that will add an inch to 1.5" of height back
@@YouMotorcycle Yep! … HMMMMMMMMMMMM …
It'd be a lot more comfortable than a stock seat too. We put a Seat Concepts seat on the G650GS and loved it. How tall are ya?

When you turn on the blinker, after a few seconds it turns off by itself, so there is no need to press anything, unless you want to turn it off first.
