Ever since I first saw Patty Duke in the Miracle Worker (her first movie, if you haven't seen it you MUST!!!) I knew she was a child prodigy actress. Everybody loved her and misses her! David Selby also was fabulous, and miss him as well. Excellent thriller!
The Miracle Worker.... one of the best films ever in my opinion and definitely the best performance I've ever seen by a child. The first one was the best but both were great because of Patty.

Wish I had a good natured husband like this guy who hugs ya when they’re arguing -I just love him & Patty duke too (life the way she’s so firm but soft spoken, determined & has conviction when she speaks) I could listen to her all day. I even like the way she walks (marches really! ❤❤❤❤

I have seen numerous houses before buying my current two houses. I walked around the houses and tried to feel anything that was unpleasant. There was a house I went to see which had a bathroom that gave me goosebumps. Luckily I didn't buy it. The two houses I owned I felt peace when I visited. Have been living in one of them for 14 years and I still feel peace. Gotta be careful buying a house. They say bring a baby because they can sense things. I don't know. I had to depend on my own feelings.

A mystery remains unsolved for many years! So sad and regrettable if that will be the case of those who had investments in that place which happened to be a cemetery turned into a residential lots! A resting place which had been disturbed by people who were attracted to the house designs and structures and the breezy place!
My daughter, in order to make up hrs. at her job, had to work alone on Sat. While she was there the toilets flushed one at a time, one after the other. That just does NOT happen by itself. I was afraid for her and she admitted it scared her, too!
why was the cat locked in the back of the car while giving birth to her kittens? shouldn't she have been in a quiet room in the house or some thing? with easy access to food and water?
We will never know how much of this film portrays true events. Films like this one have been often heavily embellished to make the story more entertaining. Everything is about money.

A real life families haunting experience in their new home. Being slightly jaded and less gullible with age ,Im not sure how much of this Id believe. Patty Dukes in it ,though, and she always gives good performance.
This story was hard to watch at times bc it was true and very sad. Knowing it really happened and without giving certain parts away I would like to know if the real bad part was true Anyway I enjoyed it and esp. Patty Duke being in it as I do every movie she is in.

Going to watch this tonight 10-29-24 as I like Patty Duke and a lot of the cast. If I get a nice spooky ghost story I will be happy. Okay I watched it and it wasn't spooky just Sucky.
38:00. It is a fact that even though the daughter got sick, and very sick, she recovered. Love made a difference. The supernatural is no joke, not is it a game to be played. Anger and fear are surely not the right means to conquer strange unexplainable issues. Could it be that having set limits and paying their respects to the dead could have made the difference? I ask myself how is it that the skeletons were NOT found as the company built there! My guess is that they did respect the limits of the graveyard and built only (right) there where there were no bodies burried. There are things that are best left unveiled. It is very sad and tragic, but it was this attitude of anger and disrespect that brought forth the tragedy. She was lucky not to be bit by a dog when she trespassed. Some things can be ignored. A bother, some discomfort,... it is part of everyone's life all over the globe when we do not lead lives of riches or power. It is true that unethical people sold them sg that wasn't completely what it was meant to be, but it is also true that it was not that which caused the tragedy, but sg else. Many blessings.
I saw this movie years ago and I was facinated by it it came on close to Halloween I'm surprised there were never records or documents kept at the couthouse why did'nt they check at the Vital Statistics office? there could have been something there they should'nt have taken the bodys out they could have talked to their decendants they could have shed some light of Black Hope Cemetary
I have chickens in my yard and I'm white. I don't think having chickens is a white or black thing - just a people thing. I like chickens! Especially when they hatch out their little ones and they are following mama hen - precious!!
Dead people cannot come back to haunt you, only demons can. There must have been some occult practices in that area to summon them., if the story is true.
The story this movie is based on is "true." The spirits of those who have died don't have to "come back, " it is likely they never left/moved on. Whether they dabbled in the occult or not, it is entirely possible their residual energy can disturb or haunt the living, especially if they have unfinished business, and/or died suddenly/violently. These unsuspecting homeowners were living over the graves of traumatized people. Demons don't haunt the living so much as they attach themselves for the purposes of tormenting/possessing them. Any number of forces could have been at work here to cause such varied and destructive phenomena that is easy to dismiss when you are not living through it or haven't experienced something unexplainable yourself.
