I recall breaking my hip in a motorcycle accident in South London about 20 months ago. How could I forget. The day following surgery, I couldn't help overhearing a discussion between a surgeon, his team and a chap in the bed next to mine. It became clear that they were having a discussion on next steps in terms of a scheduled amputation of a leg. It transpired that he was a type 1 or 2 diabetic who had developed a nasty infection on the sole of his foot. The condition had developed over a period of months totally unabated! Prior to overhearing the discussion, I never checked the soles of my feet. Post the discussion, I check them weekly. I enjoy your videos.
