🔥 WATCH OUR OFF GRID HOME BUILD FROM THE BEGINNING bit.ly/OffGridCabinBuild
I miss seeing Mr. Martin eating spicy food
I actually hired a guy to install an on demand water heater. The house looks so good, I know you’re happy as it gets closer to complete.
Fantastic job putting in the hot water heater and the gas lines. The house is looking great !!!
Y’all’s house is getting almost to move in time. You’ve done an awesome job.
You guys can do anything, great job on the water heater install! Your so close to being done on the inside! Woo hoo! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Good job on the water heater! I couldn't tell if the timber you laid on the ground is pressure treated, but if not, it will rot very quickly. You could also use a 12"x12" paver for each stringer.
Julie use old pillow case to dust fan blades. Spray inside of case with a touch of end dust. Place over a blade and use both hands to clamp around blade and slide slowly off of blade. Repeat for each blade. Finally, turn inside out and shake dust off ( outside) and then wash pillow case for next use.....
So busy. Many projects checked off. Looks great. Doing fantastic. Thanks for sharing
House looks lovely and y’all are going to need a vacation when the wedding is over! Great job family ❤
I like your thinking.
LOVE the sign how darling!!! WOW Hot Water...yipppeeeee. Great JOB on install and LOVE the STAIRS. Things are coming together nicely. God is Blessing you ALL. Thank you for this video.
Good choice. I have installed hundreds of instantaniuos water heaters and a service flush once a year with a professional cleaner not vinager with keep you problem free for many years. I use to use a small drill pump from Amazon on my cordless drill with a plastic bucket and two laundry hoses. From experience I never liked using flex gas lines on LP. Propane is pumped many times with oil filled pumps and the gas carries small particles of that oil and it can collect in the ribs and dips of the lines. There should be a drip tee at each appliance to collect such oil. Bare minimum a drip tee at the reg entering the house to collect the oil. Also a three elbow swivel on the gas line where the reg enters the house in areas of ground freezing. The gas line can heave from frost and push that line up and break it off, a swivel prevents that.
Great episode, lots accomplished! Gas is challenging and satisfying both when it works! Keep up the great videos.
So stoked that you got the sign!! Love your videos guys!!
Love Julie's confidence but admire Martin's realistic outlook. Of course there will be leaks, Marty even thinks so.
One leak at a flare...easy peasy to fix.BOOM!
I recommend not having a smoke detector right above the kitchen because when Marty decides to make some food the smoke detector will always be going off.
Awesome!
You ouse looks like it was designed by a man of God :).
I can just see you having praying meetings in the living room and people getting saved!
Praise God!
Those days look terrific. What a great job yous all did getting that water heater set up. Thanks again for a great video
you all are doing an awesome job! One day, when it's all finished(no time soon I am sure), you can sit back and enjoy it all. I do however think you will always think of something else to do, to build, to improve on, and for me, that's just dandy, I really enjoy watching you build and create! Keep Smiling!
Well done on the gas. The house is beautiful. So much progress.
Hard work, common sense along with undeniable spirit is the key to success in your ambitious build!
I think no leaks. You two are very talented.
❤You are a wonderful family. kisses
personally i would have went with a heat pump tank water heater, they are low power and can be ran off grid
then automate it to only run during the solar production
plus you have propane inside your house so many issues would worry about gas leaks explosions poising by gas bad idea Heat pump as above on solar
The house is looking amazing
NO LEAKS. FEALING VERY POSITIVE TOO.
Your house looks great! I love watching you guys build... God Bless ❤❤
Put a little bit of cocking behind the metal rings that hold them against the wall firmly
I'm still not sure why you're nervous about drilling a hole in the floors...lol 😂😅 Awesome install with the water heater and stair treds! Love ya'll ❤️
No leakx..
You've come soooooo far from Tent City...I'm so happy 4 yall!!
Perkins builder brothers usually pour a little footer for the front porch stair landing
Praying fur no leaks
Great work as always. No leaks ❤❤
Greetings from Hutchinson Kansas Johnson family
This is the first time I enjoy watching your video really champ!
Looking Awesome
Not sure if you did but this pipe needs to be grounded in case house gets hit by lightning.
Yes, by code needs to be grounded.
Great job!!!
Most homes need a sediment trap on the gas supply line feeding the water heater and furnace (sideways T with the supply coming in the side, water heater on the top and a small capped section going down)
Say y’all doing a great job
How nice to see Sarah! Thanks for all your great videos!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Had same unit in my last home I loved it only could not get remote for shower to work .
You guys are Awesome
WOW! The house is looking great! Love the stairs! Good job on the water heater. Yeah, hot water/hot showers! God bless!.😊❤
Love the sound effects. No leak lol boom…..
The stairs are beautiful.
Think you're going to want that light over the kitchen island to make it more useful at night with meal prep, entertaining & doing any reading or paperwork, etc. Btw, love the on-demand hot water system!
Getting ready for the wedding and it’s looking good 😊
Good work 🎉🎉🎉
Nice❤❤❤
❤❤❤
Enjoyed yourr video seen a lot of things I didn't think of. Looks really good great planning seems like you've done this before. You make it look easy
You always make it look sooooo easy..
But, I know how hard it is and how much money it takes... God bless you family and thanks for all I have learned from you.
You going love the on demand water heater,
something to consider for blocking your firewood. Take your tractor with grapple grab one end of the log maybe 3' or so lift to a comfortable height measure desired length and cut near where you are stacking it.
The " Happy Glue " 😂
We have a Rheem HWH and the temp would go up and down as you were in the shower. Had for 10 yrs and we findly replaced it.
Dang! Seth looks like he's about to start growing a beard! Look out Marty! :) One thing I would suggest you go back and do is put in a union on each of those pipes, that way you can mount and dismount with ease. Just a suggestion. My favorite YT family by far! One additional suggestion, and I know it sucks, but please put a water softener in front of that instant hot water heater. I've serviced these for over 10 years and scale is no joke. Even a small 6-10 cu. ft. softener will do the job and will give you many more years of service from your water heater.
Retired master plumber, from Texas, nothing wrong with running gas flex, but I prefer running black iron pipe through the attic, and my down drops, and flex pipe on fixtures, ,also should run a drip leg,- tee standing up, going to each fixture, on l.p. to help catch moister, and any trash in the lines,, so as not to clog up fixtures, and really should test system with about 5 lbs. Air pressure, for your leak test, but good job
Wow, you got it down.
Looks good, except you technically need a drip leg on the gas connection (where you found the leak). Use a tee connection, run your flex pipe in on the horizontal connection, and the drip pipe in the bottom vertical connection. Google gas supply “drip leg”.
have had my tankless for 8 years now! works great! natural gas version! I also have well water with 4 stage filter and so far I have done a cleaning every year for an hour cycle using white vinegar and it still heats to >120 in about 30 seconds. Reem says twice a year for hard water and maybe I should but so far its been fine though I have been replacing the filter twice a year
No bubble no trouble😁😁
Do you need a expansion take by water heater
there should be hand railings on each side of those new steps
Martin you need to put concrete under the last board of your stairs. Wood should never touch the ground.
You guys could get the extra firewood to an elderly couple in your neighborhood
Reeves. Good brand
Marty, have you set your winter angle solar panels to summer yet? Also your smoke alarm is too close in your kitchen. False alarms. Should be 10' away horizontally if I remember right. There is a sheet in the box that tells you where to install them.
4:53 Is it just me, or is Seth starting to look like a young Art Garfunkel?
Make sure you use a “big blue” filter on the supply side if no other filters are used.
Great work. When will the siding happen?
When are you going to do the siding, or are you leaving it out till past the wedding? Most builders would have done it a long time ago.
Be sure to ground your gas line, especially because of the stainless steel yellow flexible lines. Only need to be grounded in one place, typically at the house entry point.
You need to get wire to have for a scratch pen and put wire over top, cause if you don't there will be something getting them.
So with the imminent wedding, when will you be putting up the siding?
Happy Happy Memorial Day Have A Great Day With Family and Friends 🙏🕊️🌻🌹❤️ I pray 🙏 no leeks. I don't like working with gas.
your kitchen cabinets look great where did you get them?
Wow, pak martin serba bisa👏👏
well it's like this, if you don't leave a 30' crater, then I say you hooked it up right..lol
Great Work on the Water Heater. Boy I can hardly believe how Seth and Sarah have grown so much then SHE'S getting Married Wow. Do they (Sarah and Collin ) plan on living there?
Good video ! What the brand name on the tank less wall water heater ? Yal stay safe
Good job with the gas pipe , but check it also in winter time. Would you please not gut the firewood in that position. It is really bad for your back. Can you elevate these logs more?
Hello my dear friends ❤
👍👍👍
Steps look great but if u were in Louisiana u would have to put up hand railing good to see y'all
Insurance company made me put some on my house
So when I asked a plumber to install a on demand water heater, he would only sell and install a gas water heater. He said in wyoming, the water temp coming out of the pipes to be heated is so cold that takes forever to get warm water. It never really gets hot in the winter, customers totally unhappy, so they don't carry them.
Have you decide what type of hand rail you installing for porch stairs
Anyone notice the condensation on the White pvc line @14:51 ?
When are you going to do the siding......
Joles is thick in the right places
Yes, leaks.
NO LEAKS!
Do you not test with a manometer , here in uk spray is only secondary test 🏴, enjoy your show .
you do need a condensate drain
I was cutting my so-called lawn. I saw a lump of white dots. It was a newborn fawn so be on the lookout. just saying
Are you sure those two copper tubes were the same length. The one on the left looked longer, maybe you just needed to switch the tubes. Measure and see, but it would make sense they were different lengths considering they knew the one on the right would need to be longer.
No leaks. @18:52
Hey Marty and Julie, show us your wedding picture next time.
I will in an upcoming video.
How can you use PVC on the vent of the unit. Won't it melt?
