You should do a video of what you have in the tote as a maintenance guy. Always good to learn what tools I might need for rental maintenance. I got the 8 and 16 inch totes.

Oh man, Im going to be blowing up your channel as I try to decide what route I go for my next tool tote / tool bag / tool pouch lol. You seem to be the most qualified since you have all the bags I am interested in
Im a home owner looking for a small open style bag to essentially be my "90%" bag, in other words I'd used this to carry a limited set of tools that can do 90% of the jobs when I trouble shoot or do projects around the house. Compact 7.25-8'' pliers, a few screwdrivers, fasteners, etc for dealing with typical projects around the house
I have the 16'' Large Toughbuilt tool tote, and its great but often feels like overkill to drag it around the house from the shop when its unlikely I'd use a majority of its content for smaller projects. And As Im sure you're aware the 16'' Large tote is great but can be heavy and unwielding to lug around the house if it isn't absolutely necessary. I intended to use the larger tote as a feeder bag, swapping tools between this and the 90% bag.
In your opinion, what do you think would be a good "90% bag" for a home owner between the toughbuilt 12'' tote, master electrician with its shoulder strap, or something like the journeyman? I like the idea of the kickstand on the Electrician style tool pouches, so that I can rest them upright on a table top, floor, or even the toilet if im doing plumbing in the bathroom.

I use the 16" Toughbuilt tote with a 12" (Kobalt) magnetic bar attached to the metal side rail. It temporarily holds tools and parts instead of placing them back in the tote or on the ground.

That’s how they come from the store. And it’s been advertised with the clip on the side since they’ve came out. When you got yours it probably didn’t have it clipped to the side or someone probably removed it.

If you had to choose one bag would it be the tp-xxl or this tough built tote?

The bar on the side that gets in the way of the pockets is obviously there to put clips on to mount pouches.

I'm thinking about getting the 12" tote. I currently have the 16". But I can't find any images or videos that show the pockets inside of the bag. Curious as to know, how many pockets there are inside.

I didn’t get a chance to count the pockets today. I was moving some of my other tools out of my storage locker i was renting since the rent went way up. I finally got a shed to put the other tools in.
I will try to look at it tomorrow and let you know. I may even try to do a short video to post as well. I was actually in the middle of converting the bag into a drill charger bag. For my dewalt tools.

@@THETIMINATORTHETOOLMAN With my 16". I have my pliers on one side of the bag, and a variety of screwdrivers on the other side. But There's a lot of dead space within the bag, that I feel a Medium tote would be better suited for. I just don't want to order it and find out that it doesn't have enough pockets for me.
