- Nick will easily turn you into a SPS lover after this video!
I want to thank Nick for allowing us to come into his home to see his beautiful reef tank. It's pretty amazing to think that he can grow such beautiful SPS colonies in a relatively small lagoon style aquarium.
As always I want to thank Tyler (@inland_reef on IG) for his macro shots! Got check out his instagram here: / inland_reef

I feel PH is something people started focus on the last year or two. Maybe because more people use calcium reactors now? I have never tested Ph.
Wow. Thanks for this awesome video Remy! And thanks everyone for the kind words! I owe most of my knowledge to the local reefers of Stl. If it weren’t for them I would probably still be rocking a leather and green star polyp dominant 10 gallon! 😂 🙏
Thanks for having us over! I know I'm ready to start diving into the world of SPS in my new tank thanks to you!
@@BahamaLlamaCoral glad to inspire! That’s what this hobby is all about! And when you are itching for some new acro pieces, hit me up! 🤙
hey love the tank i am also in the STL area check me out on my channel and my socials linked in the cannel banner cant wait to talk more
Is BENS NEMS a thing anymore ?
Not that I know of.
Damn 275 for 3/16ths
Heyyy its the Llama!!! Blink 3 times in your next video if BRS is holding you hostage. Lol JK dude. Love the videos on BRS as well. That SPS tank was awesome. Maybe one day ill get into sps. Hasnt happened in 17 years but still, maybe one day.
LOL!! All is well! I might actually have another video THIS WEEK!
@@BahamaLlamaCoral 😱 heck yea!!
When you hopefully one day come to Toronto we can have Bahama Mama's think Scrubs… ua-cam.com/video/dp0zX6Ai3v8/v-deo.html
I like it!
see, that's why you are one of the better content providers online, You are smart. You know your stuff and are humble to boot. Like I said I am not one to think less of you for going to BRS, I love Thomas, and all his videos. Yours are as always amazing. Keep up the good work and as I said Toronto is open and you can visit Fragbox and have a Bahama Mama!
If you want next level trace element dosing, then you should look into reef moonshiners. Your sps and other corals will thank you.
any idea whats the height of his radion from the ceiling to the tank?
Do you mean how high are my lights from the surface of the tank? They are about 12 inches off the surface.
A Remy production! I am hooked!
Good talking to you at aquashella!
You too! Always fun to reconnect with everyone!
Wow these last videos have been a hit
My curiosity has gotten the best of me! I feel like I've learned so much through these tours!
Very nice set up.
I think so too!
lol 3/16ths of an inch!
That little pico behind is looking packed with macro algae
It's super packed. I'm gonna take it down soon. Time to start stripping tanks from the room!
Good video man.
Thank you! I appreciate it!
TOASTY! 12:33
Lol - I love that it's not even a store plug anymore. It's so random.
Wew new video
Maybe even another one this week 😏
I am looking into a new Innovative Marine Nuvo Fusion 2, I like LPS am not a fan of SPS, though I love them whilst diving!
To each their own for sure! LPS are freaking amazing too!
Are you from St. louis? I'm in Springfield
Yep! STL
sick tank
Right?! Pretty cool to see a small-ish SPS tank.
Hello Sir!, how many days or months does frag coral grow?
They grow a little bit every day!
I love SPS!
I love it too! It'll be in the next tank for sure!
Man i missed watching your videos. They always calm me down with that soundtrack in the background and looking at beautiful reefs. Really helps to keep my anxiety down low !
This comment means a lot! I always try to provide a little escape from reality with these videos. I'm happy they help!
Though I love when reefers love their corals.
YES!

love this video i subbed hope to watch more of your great videos
Your vids always make my day
Thanks Larry!
Am I the only one that noticed the moss on a tree at 12:24?
It's lichen :) As I say "if you're LIKIN' these videos". I know, dumb. 😂
What ever happened to your breeding program . I remember u had uno and another baby fry
Life got in the way so it's on hold. My clowns keep laying every two weeks! Just gotta get some time. Uno and Dos are HUGE now! I can't wait to do an update.
@@BahamaLlamaCoral nice man glad to hear you gone do a update. Atleast you have it on hand a breeding pair already .
Where is uno and dos!?!?
Alive and well! They are getting big!
@@BahamaLlamaCoral that’s awesome man good to here … if you have a second can you maybe show them in the next video… thanks Remy👌🏼
That is a very very impressive tank. I agree, so many different ways to get the same results which is awesome. Get that tank going. Ha
Thank you sir!
I like the preaching of COLONIES. It’s always great to see beautiful full colonies in a tank! Awesome video Remy!
He just let that thing GROW for awhile. Hands off growth. That's how to do it!
@@BahamaLlamaCoral no touchy!
When does a frag become a colony? Real question.
@@frankpohl8746 Personally I think it's when you don't have to ask the question. If that makes sense. You look at it and say...THAT is a colony! lol. Heck, it's all subjective. If you dive on a daily basis, your definition of a colony will be a lot different than a hobbyist. And let's be honest, we've all become so used to TINY frags so anything bigger is impressive.
@@frankpohl8746 such a good question! I’d say depending on coral species but I like this great debate!
So..... About those bubble tips. I had one and it turned into 40 over 6 months. How do I stop them from splitting? I have ultra roses also.
Nicks SPS dominant tank is very nice. Beautifully displayed colored colonies. Thanks for the tour Remy.
Glad you enjoyed it! A true inspiration!

Awesome tank!
I think so too!
This tank is goals! I love the shallow tanks like this
Great stuff Remy! Glad your back at it. Nice talking with you at aquashella!
Heck yeah! Thanks for stopping me!

Great edit as usual remy! Nicks tank is incredible. Reef keeping goals!
Thanks!
absolutely beautiful reef, great job on the setup and husbandry of this Aquarium, truly awesome!

Why does he say brs 3 part when he is clearly dosing AF 123 plus
I'd like to know why he lies also
Ya for real it's clearly AF123
Could be reusing the containers… why waste a decent container. I do it.
Hey so I used to dose AF 3 part. But now I just dose the brs chemicals with trace elements because it was getting difficult to find the AF components. Reusing > recycling.
Ok bc I also use AF123 but it's expensive, hard to find and not to concentrate. Are you getting the same results from using brs with trace .? Seems more complex

Awesome tour. I'm going to be getting back into reef tanks in about a month or so can't wait
Welcome back! This is a great tank to get some inspiration from!
I lm thinking about it too. But ive been lookin at prices of equipment and corals and am having 2nd thoughts
He needs a house with a basement where he can dedicate a room behind his main tank to do all the filtration and etc.
For sure!
Near a lake. Well the lake part would be for me. Extra room behind tank would be great but.
Enrique Land
Not a 90g it's an 80g display. Same dimensions as my 80g seapora
Thanks for the clarification on that!
I like the simplicity of his system. 2-part seems to be the way I am going to go. I have had my Neptune Apex for 6 months and it’s still in the box. Lol.
It’s not hard to setup. Just do it slowly. You don’t even have to plug anything into it but get it plugged in and online so you can see how awesome it is! 🤙🤙

I have been trying to find a perfect cabinet for the APEX. I have the trident and one DOS bit don’t want to keep it all in my stand. I also heard it may void the warranty. I really like the custom PVC innovative marines makes, but I just don’t see spending that kind of money of a box
@@BlackGoldReefing if you look up a few videos on UA-cam you can see how people make their own. Then you can put it wherever you want!
What makes a good equipment cabinet is a big stereo speaker.
Nick, your tank looks amazing! Remy, thanks for sharing this so folks can see the true potential of SPS dominant tanks.
Thanks Kirk! You’re one of the sps legends I was referring to in the video. You guys were the inspiration! 🤙🙏
@@nickoshaughnessy836 The student has now become the master! LOL
@@smoothdog001 haha thanks man! I wouldn’t say master but hey I won’t argue with you! 😉
I need to come to this class...SPS is next for me!
@@BahamaLlamaCoral I got frags for you Remy! 😉
Remy,. Great seeing you at Aquashella! I like the tank yours to see the different ways people do this hobby.
Good to see you as well Scot! Did you pick anything up?
@@BahamaLlamaCoral more than I planned too, as always. A bi-color hammer and some zoa frags.
@@scotquintel2729 Very nice!
Looks like he has a nice piece of acropora sarmentosa in the tank, very nice! 👍🏻
Yes! Lots of goodies in there!
Thanks for that info. I was wondering what the name of it is and you are spot on!
@@nickoshaughnessy836 No problem, thanks for sharing your tank, it’s very beautiful! Happy Reefing!!
@@Messier87_M87 much appreciated Dave! 🙏
Ding dong.
Twinkie.
An absolutely amazing tank! Seeing it in RL made me understand why people have a passion for sps. Great job Nick and thanks for great video Remy.
I think we need to get your system on the list my friend! Let me know if you're interested!
