She should be proud!! Her acting was genuinely some of the best I’ve seen in a long time
Fr! This was basically HER movie.
On paper its a silly premise and totally unbelievable. Typical horror fare. But there's so much talent in the production. In the first 5 mins, with that long continuous shot, I was locked in, and I could tell this was something different. This is confident film making by real artists. I had not paid much attention to Naomi Scott before this, but it was easily the best and most pleasantly surprising performance of the year for me, in a year of great films too. Great range and wholly believable. I'll be excited to see her in more lead roles. She's born to do this.
Just saw the movie and Naomi Scott did indeed nail her part. One very extremely talented actress, her performance will convince everyone of all of the trauma she is experiencing. Quite a few jump scares in the movie, and normally they don't get me, but I swear almost every one of them did. I don't think the movie would have been nearly as good if the actress chosen for Skye hadn't given it her all. Five stars for her performance.

@@OrlandoAugustoStock, I felt sorry for her because she was trying hard to turn her life around and do right for her fans (but I think that was all superficial until the demon latched onto her). She really didn't want to change until a demon made her want to be a better person; unfortunately, it was too late, and the demon had its way with her.

@@Aruna_Shadows My point is: that the second movie (Smile 2) is basically a reboot of the first movie (Smile) while it is been announced as a sequal of the first movie. They can call it a sequal just because te first scene of the second movie (Smile 2) was a follow up story of the first movie. The rest of the film was just completely unrelated to that.
I never going to watch a movie of Parker Finn again and i hope he will become bankrupt.

1. Do you know what a sequel is. "A published, broadcast, or recorded work that continues the story or develops the theme of an earlier one". This is an almost direct continuation of the first movie! A reboot wipes ALL traces of the plot from the previous installments clean and starts from scratch! The opening scene shows already shows that that is NOT the case! It literally shows how Joel passes the curse onto someone else! And of couse there's not much of the first movie plot after that! That's how the curse works! It passes onto another person all the time and most of the previous hosts are left for dead! Plus, the story of the Smile franchise as a whole centers around the curse! Everything you need for a sequel of this movie are the curse, AND make sure it takes place after the previous installment! This is literally how sequels work!
What did you expect a sequel of this movie to look like?
2. Isn't it a bit extreme to swear never to watch somebody's movies again and wish they go bankrupt for such a petty reason - which can't even be counted as any reason at all because it doesn't even apply to this movie!

@@davsny5 Hugh Grant was good. Should deff be nominated. James was not that great in that film. The original Swedish Speak No Evil. Blows the American version and him away. Cage was great, but was not in it long enough for an award.

After the movie I went in the bathroom. And the theater bathrooms huge, so many stalls, I was the only one in there. But it was so quiet and eerie lol

My first horror movie was either The Descent or The Grudge (the Sarah Michelle Gellar one). I was far too young for either of those, and The Descent imprinted onto me a lifelong hatred of jumpscares.
She knocked this role out of the PARK, that was wild. I liked the first Smile, it wasn't anything that I think would solidify a "franchise" per say, but THISSSS movie was absolutely amazing. It's so nice to have quality horror and she thanks to her performance that's what we have. I strongly urge you to watch it if you're a horror fan. There was one scene in particular that was so uncomfortable and traumatizing that I'm glad I watched it at my age now, I think it would've messed me up in high school lol.

the car scene where she's a bloodied mess and screaming, and then when it like cuts to her crying at the camera for an awkwardly long time. Something about how long that shot was and her screams were soooooo well directed. It's like something you don't want to be involved in or see but you're forced to because it's a movie in a theater lol.

Be AWARE!! This is Scariest movie I have ever seen in my life at Universal Studios Hollywood. Naomi Scott, the actor opens up the movie saying that is very immersive and I kid you not it very much is. I could tell you that I Iove a horror movie and this movie scared the living death out of me and I even cried because it was so scary. Mind you I’m 30 and this movie will have you on the edge of your seat. Also, this Movie is one that you’re Not going To be able to go to sleep right after it’s done.

Yeah it's not for the faint of heart. For some reason I like being "traumatized" with horror. Love the thrill. This series of movies is incredible and not your typical horror. It is relentless and shows no mercy and doesn't care if you are attached to characters or not. Just pure trauma dump

Usually characters in horror films suck and forgettable, I wish all horror movie will be like this. Definitely one of the best horror films this yr, and for yrs to come.
This movie was so good. One of the scenes was actually so scary and it wasnt even a supernatural scene, it was a practical scene but no spoilers. All I can say is It felt so real I almost started crying like she is such a good actress. The horror element of the film was very well done. Got a few jumps out of me. This was probably one of the first films I’ve seen as an adult where I actually screamed out loud.
Just watched the movie myself and she was terrific but sorry to say folks I cant recommend it because it was too depressing and messed up. All that pain and suffering till the end wasnt fun to watch!!!

This movie is amazing! Naomi ATE!❤ Beautiful shots, costumes and even the music! I didn't like the ending. The finale could've been done so much better and the opening and character involvement and parasite pass off is a bit🤔...but great movie overall. Loved it!
