the most amazing novelty 🌹of my garden is the Tropicana rose,💞 it smells of passion fruit 😇and smells from the beginning of dissolution to withering, it is delicious 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
fire fighter, deep secret, double delight, maria shriver, fragrant plum, black lady new zealand, neil diamond , ebb tide are the most fragrant roses of my garden . and they smells so so so fantastic.
Iappeal to all rose lovers to try a few of the heritage roses lest we lose their genetic pool.I have mentioned MORGENGRUSS(bred in 1950s)which has produced at least 3 superb scented offspring that I know off 30 or more years later:FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE,CREME DE LA CREME &GARDENERS GLORY which are all excellent.I read an article about Rev Pemberton that said while his hybrid musks are world renowned for nearly a century, his home village near Colchester in Essex has loads of his other creations which are droolworthy. In a warm climate,if grown on its own roots,Prosperity grows into a 30 ft climber bearing masses of scented flowers -imagine having your 11ses sitting under it.Tall trees in or around your garden &U dont mind a once flowering climber ,BOBBIE JAMES ,PAULS HIMALAYAN MUSK &Kordes ALCHYMIST are wonderful.Pls grow at least a couple of clematis near each climber to prolong the colour interest. In Delhi I discovered a 1937 american rose called Summer Snow -similar but smaller flowers than iceberg but very heat tolerant &blooms like mad.Enjoi
I was walking around Green Acres smelling all of the roses. Really going where my nose took me 🐖. I ran across the Double Delights, Hybrid Tea and knew I found The One 💖. I kept smelling other roses but I kept looking to where She was. I circled back and picked Her up. I even put her beauty to the test amongst the others. She had a single blooming rose bud. The others had 3 or more. She was kind and gentle 😌. Her shape and size were perfect. I fell in love💕
Great video of your choice of fragrant roses of '2017. I grew the fragrant hybrid tea roses: Garden Party & Perfume Delight, loved the scents, the roses were beautiful for photography.
@@seankelly5469 I planted Brindabella Purple Prince at the end of April, one gallon, and it had beautiful fragrant flowers within a month. The first flowers weren't long lasting, but it had others on the way. So far it seems to be very quick repeat, almost continuous. My problem is that it's so difficult to find them and videos like this and others should mention them. I don't get why some online rosarians like Roses Unlimited or Heirloom or others don't carry them. None of the local stores had it either. I might have space for one more rose (not sure yet if I'll have space), and I'd love to get the new Brindabella, Crimson Knight, and it doesn't look like anybody has it. I hope for next year. I just don't get why online rose places ignore it.
@@jewelmarkess I don't know where your located but Atlantic Nursery in freeport, NY had them in stock this spring. There were still a couple last I looked on saturday... I've had bad luck ordering online, I always buy my roses from a nursery.
@@seankelly5469 Freeport is quite a distance, but drivable. I am in the Northern Westchester. At any rate, I need to wait until next spring to see if I have space, will depend how my two current roses grow and if I have space between them. I'll try calling them next spring if I have space, thank you for the tip. I've had pretty good luck ordering online, but I've only ordered 3 roses in total during the past 5 years. One was Macy's Pride from Northland Rosarium a few years back, one - Quietness from Heirloom this year and one is Brindabella Purple Prince from the White Flower Farm. Will need to see how the last two do over the next year or so, but so far they've been growing well. It's easier to get stuff from the nursery though as you can see what you get. Local nurseries don't have much though.
MR.LINCOLN &EIFEL TOWER are shy bloomers&I wud choose Alecs Red instead.Crepuscule is a noisette climber &everyone shud try its most famous relative MARECHAL NEIL.For growing near a patio Prosperity is must :its a systyle rose which throws its fragrance widely around it.It has a fab warm pink sister felicia which too is beautifully scented.A lot of the david austin roses sound good in the catalogue but never live up to what they promise eg the much touted MOLYNEUX has poor vigour &hardly any scent but he has 1 genuine winner GOLDEN CELEBRATION which is xcellent.Aussies shud try some kordesii climbers of which MORGENGRUSS (need to hunt for it)which lives up to its name in flower colour(bronze buds open to shell pink witb yellow at the heart)&is considered by some breeders esp Chris Warner as the most under rated climber.I t is also the parent of 2 fab roses FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE &CREME DE LA CREME -David Gandys last rose.Do try these .U will be chuffed

How strong is perfume delight scent. Must you be right on the flower to smell it?
I love aRose ...😘😘😘
What about Brindabella roses? I've read they are fragrant, beautiful and disease-resistant.
Brindabella has a beautiful fragrance and is quite robust as a young rose. I don't have any older then 3 years so can't speak for longevity
