As a first generation American from south Texas i gotta say this was the exact way my family makes it. I even make it myself most of the time.U made us proud man. I loved it
I was pretty damn skeptical at first. Braced myself for bastardization. Instead what we have here is not an ignorance of tradition, but an understanding. Kent melds fire roasted salsa with great rice cooking technique. Can only say... shits legit. If not your momma's hardfast prescription, an earnestly good cowboy addition.
@@TheTranceCartel I haven't watched any of his videos but one, which brought me here, on caring for cast iron. I too was bracing myself, but that's natural. I'm learning to make Chinese food now. Do you think mine is going to come out like some old lady cooking it from that country? Of course not. Especially when someone (like me in this case) comes ignorant of a tradition, all I know about chinese food is panda express, which is to real chinese food what taco bell is to mexcian food. So I think OP was right to assume that's what this might be, based on his race. It's what I would assume of myself based on my own race if I was cooking anything traditional of a culture not my own. Having said that, OP's right this guy knows what it is! I like this guy and will be subscribing.

This is essentially how I make my Mexican rice, but I like to toast some spices while I'm toasting my rice. Nothing to crazy, just some cumin, chili powder, and a little turmeric(for that yellow color). And I personally like peas and carrots in mine, but to each his own.
I like to tear up a bunch of cilantro and throw it on top when you rest it for the remainder 10 mins. That’s some good eating! Great vid, as always, great content 👍

As a Mexican let me tell you that you did a good job, because there may be hundreds of different recipes but yours has just been added to the Mexican cuisine, congratulations.
Thanks for watching, we are honored
I doubled up this recipe last night and it turned out spectacularly! Thanks for the recipe, Cowboy.
Glad everyone enjoyed and thanks for watching
Thank you good sir! Sitting watching you here in London and wishing this very moment that I could be there at your camp to enjoy some of that Mexican Rice. Subscribed!
Thanks for watching and for joining us
As a first generation American from south Texas i gotta say this was the exact way my family makes it. I even make it myself most of the time.U made us proud man. I loved it
Thank you so much for watching
I was pretty damn skeptical at first. Braced myself for bastardization. Instead what we have here is not an ignorance of tradition, but an understanding. Kent melds fire roasted salsa with great rice cooking technique. Can only say... shits legit. If not your momma's hardfast prescription, an earnestly good cowboy addition.
Thanks for watching
You assumed an awful lot of negative shit based on his race
Cowboy Kent Rollins thanks for making
@@TheTranceCartel after watching what taco bell does to "mexican cuisine" you can't be sure. Greetings
This recipe delivers! I added the one Serrano, and seeded it, and it had plenty of flavor, without too much heat.
Glad you enjoyed
These videos make my mouth water, and make me anxious to give these recipes a shot.
Hope you enjoy

I am so happy I had to comment twice.
By God you're so personable. Thank you for a spectacular video.
This is essentially how I make my Mexican rice, but I like to toast some spices while I'm toasting my rice. Nothing to crazy, just some cumin, chili powder, and a little turmeric(for that yellow color). And I personally like peas and carrots in mine, but to each his own.
Beautiful country, good food.
This video brought me a joy I did not expect to find today.
Thanks so much for watching

When I saw this video, I knew I had to make Cowboy Kent's Rollins Mexican rice. I was happily surprised when I found all the ingredients at the local grocery store this morning; especially the Serrano Peppers and Ancho chilies. Making it is as easy as it seems and in the end, we both enjoyed this spicy and fluffy rice with our tacos. We also had a very fun time working on this together. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative to flavored rice that comes packaged in a box. Hats off to you Cowboy Kent Rollins.
Thanks Clouse and glad you both enjoyed
You never disappoint Cowboy Kent, Greetings and Salutations from Your friend in Quincy Massachusetts!!! 🤠😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
