Thank you for Watching!
The gameplay music in this game is phenomenal brings back so many memories
💗
Even I, who never played this game, felt it!! The music looks a lot like in Castlevania game (which I am a fan) and also a Konami game!!
I never played it but I completely stopped watching just to listen lol
Siii❤️🔥
Always take us back😢😢
Everyone. Please. Lets make a petition for them to remaster this game. This game was THE pinnacle of my childhood. So many hours into this game.. Makes me wanna get a ps2 and get this game along with it
Dude I agree! I still play this game, at 26 years old. I’ll replay it just because it’s so good
Same
🙏🏾💯
Do it asap, Playstation 2 games are going up day by day and people won’t sell their favorite ones after getting them
@@zeno1750at 103 years old I still play this game also !
Bro as a kid this game was mad hard 🤣
Dawg I thought I was the only one, never even figured out how to play it fr 😭
Gave up on it after a couple weeks 😂
Took me some time but I mastered it after a few months 😂
It was easy but hard at first!
Only took me a couple days it's not that hard
When games were made with love, dedication and compassion.
Compassion?
@@MASJYT I meant, passion.
The game I enjoyed so much when i was a kid and never got a chance to finish it.
Owhhh thats true
Same, I was just a kid that didn't know how to play games😂
Unfortunately jake since you played duelist of the roses you have never left the world of Yu Gi Oh I know this might sound crazy but I was sent from earths dimension to warn you that you have been trapped ever since and everything you think you have been experiencing is only being felt by your vessel the only way we were meant to reach you was through the comment section where our worlds merge but you are actually in the bed chamber of simon mcmooran your spirit dwells within
I Don't have much time but you have not aged a day since you left us and you must be awakened but the house of York stands in your way so please jake try to remember it's the only way you may have a chance to return to our realm
I liked this style of Yu-Gi-Oh as a child a lot
It’s like the game was based on those labyrinth episode from season 1 which were dope
Man this game brings back so much memories!!! I can't believer I actually found it. I thought I might have been making it up in my head for a little while lol
Finally a longplay without any commentary AND slow enough during the cutscenes to let me read all the dialogues! Thank you so much!!
Ahh the good old days I’d sit and play this for hours
Unfortunately nick it sat and played you for hours I have some dreaded news you are stuck in a dimensional merge between out world and the world of Yu Gi Oh you may be in for a shock but you have been trapped in the other world since you first played this game and I have been sent from earth to warn you and awaken you from your slumber we don't have much time but you are with Simon and Yugi and we are working with them to get you out it is only your body that dwells here your spirit is caught and you must make haste and find a way out
@@ProjectSirenLostOceans Yes it's true
This game is truly unique. There really isn't even another game that comes close to this one. I really hope they remaster this. There is so much charm and originality to this game. From the mechanics and difficulty to the relaxing music. I remember sinking over a 100 hours into this on PS2. There were so many different strategies and card combinations that you could do.
I loved the fighting animations they were brilliant
For a yu gi oh game this game had an amazing OST
YES!💗
@@seorandyless Exactement le même que "Yu-Gi-Oh l'empire des illusions" sortis sur GameCube
What’s an OST
@@user-dy1vf7lu3i It stands for “original soundtrack”
Seems that's the thing Konami knows to do right in regards to Yugioh games, I have only played 4 of them (the ones from the PSX and PS2 era and one they launched last year) and they all have some godly OSTs and according to other people I know that have played other games from the franchise high quality music has been pretty much a constant trait across its history.
When yugioh was fun to play… now it’s just 11 special summons a turn
Yeah I stopped playing when Syncro and all that shit got introduced to
My legend I appreciate the no commentary
I have never seen a yugioh game ever since that can come close to this. Every few years I pull it out and play it
Wow i completely forgot i had this game, this one rocked. Thanks for unlocking a core memory of mine.
Thank you dad for buying me this game 2 years ago. Especially the PS2. You won't be missed, your death won't be in vain. Once I die, we'll have the greatest d-d-d-d, ddddduel.
It is great seeing this game again (not that I was any good at it then) but only recently did I learn that your name input determines the deck you would get to play with...
Oh yeah? But how?
Ah I remember this game, I love this so much! I had a fairy deck that had a lot of Dark Witch fusions and fairy boosters and a few pumpkin kings for def stance.
i didn't even know that this game existed till now but damn...these soundtracks are amazing man
Vividly remember pegasus's toon map, hated it so bad. Also that machine deck map. Good fucking times.
That White Rose duelist theme still goes crazy all these years later. I remember choosing Setos side all the time just so I could hear the BGM.
The bgm in this game was insane. So nostalgic
That pumpking card goes hard. Pays to know all the fusion cards
Thank you for no commentary. Just wanted to relax to the music and sfx. Also love that they hype up Seto only for him to make one of the most braindead opening moves of all time
Hah! 🤣
I remember as a kid doing one of the names to get the zombie deck, and while I thought it did okay I didn't realize it looks to have been the optimal strategy. Tempted to replay this game and try other decks cause it was a fun time.
Zombie is my favorite. My 1st deck i have was zombie madness if i remembered.
Zombies were pretty cool though it was a pain in the ass to create a deck with low enough points to farm the cards needed to complete it.
I just bought a refurbished ps2 and this game just to go back to the old days
This is a super underrated gem.
If I ever made video games, I would basically copy this basic design.
I always love the battle music 😍
I remember when it came out, it was a pretty good game for being a sequel. Almost as good as his father; Forbidden Memories.
I still own the PS1 game as well as this, this game was the better of the 2 by far.
The best part of this game and the GBA game, was that if you had the card, you could type on the serial number and use it in the game.
The best feeling starting a duel on this game is when you start out with a field spell
I miss this game.
We definitely need this game remake and remastered for Next Generation Video Games Consoles like PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X as well Nintendo Switch respectively in the future
Shoutout to the music in this game
This game brings back a few good memories I had as a child 😢 really cool game in my opinion… wish I could get it now…
I have never stopped playing this game. So many years passed we need a total remaster or a definitive edition all cars from yugioh all enemies more enemies etc..
To my knowledge,a UA-camr,who was speedruning the game, was working in a fixed version of the game.Haven't checked though if he had done something about it.Thank you for checking out the video!
@@DysphoricEntertainment
Get back to me
Are we not going to talk about how metal this intro is
The sound effects and ost of this game always come to me when I play master duel
I would cry if I saw five pumpkings on the field
This is the best music game soundtrack ever tbh
The amount hours put into this game. THEN finally making Secretary of Defense on only three of my Leaders
dude this game is so hard as a kid, too bad my PS 2 is lost because of flood, i really want to beat this game
If you have a pc,download a PS2 emulator, the game on iso file (google both) and enjoy the game
@@DysphoricEntertainment thx
The amount of nostalgic I’m experiencing should be illegal
Leave it to a Japanese game to have a 18th century European to adopt an Asian nickname.
Man. This game was so good. I was a young kid around 8 years old, game was in English and I couldn't even read or speak English, I died many times, didn't understand anything, but it was amazing haha
Good thing, I still have a ps2, but I lost my memory card at my friends house in 2013 :(
This makes me wanna get on ebay, buy a PS2 and get this game again
That game as a kid was way harder than the GBA ones. I played through it still in the end I was happy collecting some Dark Magicians and make him my deck leader!
The best Yu GI Oh game
I thought this game was a fever dream I was 3 when it was released shocked I remember
MAAAAAAANE 😢 I miss this game so much k wish they’d bring it back
I had no idea how to play this when I was a kid. And it still makes no sense 20 years later
Could you imagine if the meta included that discard mechanic where you can dump your whole hand and you just pick up a new one next turn?
i passed this game with the same strategy, well done buddy
Me too
Rip to the creator..thank you 🙏 💔
Came here just for the smooth jazz, that sax bangs!
Game quality was so different and guess what NO BUGS were in this game or when me and my uncle played it
Duel of the Roses and Eternal Duelist were my favs!!
I loved the Paradox brothers labyrinth play style, and this is the closest thing I got to it lol
Memories this game will humble you quick thinking it’s like the regular board game
This brings me so much nostalgia. As a kid I absolutely loved all the female cards, so I devised a deck that strengthened the heck out of Dark Elf. I would bring her up to 9999 ATK and DEF through powerups and sacrificial cards and just destroy the heck out of my opponents xD i wish i still had my ps2 or that i remember how to do it. I just know that I never played the game again after my save was lost on the clunky memory card, and i didnt want to play it all over again :(
Here it is...
My childhood
best video ever.
This game was hard asf but the fusions, strategies, and the music when the duel starts lol I love and dearly miss
i played this game when i was younger and until this day i still have no idea wtf i was doing. rewatching yu gi oh as we speak
Childhood memories :)
Rest in peace Kazuki Takahashi
I remember i played it for the first time when I was in the second grade and it was it was at one of my family friends house and I got so obsessed with it because it shows you how the monster would attack which was so cool. And whenever my dad take us to visit I would ask them I wanna play the game 😂. And till I got into the sixth grade I was still looking for the game and last year I was able to download it over my laptop it was an amazing experience. I just love the game and the original anime everything about it so beautiful.
I wanna play it on my Android phone but idk how
Holy cow I forgot about this. I remember playing at night and when I’d lose I’d go put my moon shoes on that I was too fat to use lol. Off to the Doritos and mtn dew to relieve my adolescent stress
I remember for this game I had to cheat to get strong ass monsters that practically sealed every win.
This game NEEDS a remaster.
they have a application on your phone that is similar to this now
this playthrough reminds me of how OP Pumpking can be, especially when you have multiples on the field xD
There's also a mean combo of Mystical Elf, Magician of Faith, and the Darkness Approaches spell card. Mystical Elf increases Light monsters' ATK by 800 when flipped, Darkness Approaches flips all face-up cards face-down, and Magician of Faith can bring back a spell card from the Graveyard. Repeat until ready to obliterate. Another stall tactic was Great Moth and its ATK point drain ability every turn.
@@Amo-v27 great moth.. memories man
the music fucking bangs hard asf bruh
MY FUCKING CHILDHOOD !
One thing that always irked me is how Yami took Yugi's and posed as him in this game but we never saw the real Yugi.
Goddamn I miss spending entire nights playing this and GTA Vice City on my aunt's PS2
I would cry if I got to play this game again
This is how Yu-Gi-Oh should of been by today if it weren't for Yu-Gi-Oh GX and all those archetypes
I miss this game so badly
I was never interested in yugioh until I got this game. I don’t even remember if it was a gift, or I picked it up on a whim, to try and get into yugioh. Either way, it’s my all-time favourite yugioh… anything. It’s because of this that i bought cards, and tried to get into playing the actual game.
This needs to get some sort of remake or backwards compatibility. If it’s remastered, I don’t want it updating to fit modern yugioh. I prefer the slower, more methodical gameplay. Plus I doubt those 6-hour long combos will work in Duelist of the Roses.
I would love to be able to play this online.
The intro is awesome, so much double bass
If there's one interesting thing they did in this games in terms of throwing in historical events, bringing up the Voynich Manuscript really was something that blew my mind, lol.
FYI, its at Yale University if anyone wants to check it out
Lol, state skool for me dawg.
Boy it as kid was game for years crazy nice
lol i remember this game, it was cool and all but I never really understood how to play. I just did random stuff and eventually won things, its a lot different from the show and thats what throws you off about this game
I remember playing this when I was a child 😮
Hardest soundtrack ever
The only thing i knew about Yu-Gi-Oh was the anime that i didn't really watch and this game. Once i figured out that pumpkin king was the shit it was over. Spent hours on this game. Needs a remaster
I have vivid memories of this game's soundtrack giving me headaches, also English wasn't my 1st language so I was struggling to play this game😂
I used to make opponents go all out so I can get their good cards.
Good old days, I miss it 😢
This game was so difficult to play as a child still really really fun tho
who else remembers just mashing all of the buttons during the slot machine minigame?
Ah how nostalgic. I had a lot of trouble with many of this game's mechanics as a kid but still beat it. The story went completely over my head and I didn't even try to understand it, although as an adult that hasn't changed much since the war of the roses has to be one of the most boring wars in history. Still very interesting and impressive they did something like this.
I think it's funny how Kaiba was such a bro to the player who guaranteed his return home, while Yugi was kind of an asshole who didn't care about him at all while taking the credit.
the sounds in this game remind me of things yabujin would use
That was the very last thing I’d expected to see in a yugioh ps2 comment section whattttt but true tho u just made my day
@@HiImLunatic 😂 this game used to be my childhood wish I still had my ps2 to revisit it
Remember when video games were good... none of this character creation, graphics rendering... sometimes you could just go "What if yugioh, but it's the war of the roses" and someone goes "what?? that raises so many questions. for one, how does yugi get there" and you take a drag and say "time travel"
when I was 12 i finish this game twice 💪
This game is a classic no cap all jokes aside.
one of the greatest games oat
Bro this games is like playing magic. Hard as he'll..
