The thing I loved most about this adaptation was the tension and chemistry between Emma and Knightley. I'm not sure its the best adaptation I've seen, but its definitely the adaptation with the most believable romantic relationship. Before I saw this film, I thought it was woefully miscast (particularly Knightley), and I came out of the cinema completely in love with him in the role. You captured this tension perfectly, such an amazing edit.
no words. your editing always takes my breath away, I can't fanthom how you managed to intertwined so much and so well, the voiceover, the scenes, the internal movement! is to die for. I'm on awe. wow! This is so damn beautiful and haunting i might cry. thank you for this!
amazing edit!!!! i didnt expect the song choice but this was so sexy 😭💖🌸 i love that this quality of the film sets it apart from other adaptations and that the director wasn’t afraid to use more sensuality in austen’s characters ✨love it!
Just watched the film and came here to say - your edit was better! And the music, god! This should have been the score of the film! You found profundity where there was none to be found. The film is beautiful to look at, but the feelings are not there. Yet the feelings are all here in your edit. Bravo.
I saw this movie, didn't like anything about it. Terrible adaptation. No chemistry at all, every scene looks like parts acted out on theater stage rather than for a movie.Story jumps all over the place, new characters are introduced all the time but none leave any impression nor do they have enough time or story behind them to leave impact on viewer.I watched this on 20 stop&go occasions, never had me hooked at all.Good parts are wardrobes and scenery but other than that it's sad 2 hours we get.No chemistry between lead acts, their romance seems so rushed towards the end,Emmas father is just like living corpse, almost never says nor does anything, just like silhouette standing there even in Emmas biggest distress in the movie, not even an embrace between her and her father.Save yourselves time and skip this or rather watch the only REAL adaptation worth your time Emma mini series from 2009' with Romola Garai.

Actor for mr knightly far too young.
Interestingly, he is the same age as Mr. Knightley in the book.
He's 37.

Such poor casting. Completely unlike the book.
Seems to me like you haven't read the books?
