Also when doing this you guys should use some MAF cleaner on the MAF it is so easy and overlooked! Great video though!

Thanks for your video. However changing the filter is only half of the job. You need to remove the plastic valence in front of the engine and remove the front of the air intake. There is a screen in the front of the plenum. When I took mine off it was almost all completely filled with dirt. Had I not done this I would not have improved the fuel mileage. So please add this item to your video so your viewers can complete the job properly.

Helpful video. Typical German over-engineering IMHO. Honda, Toyota and so many others make it exponentially simpler.

It is absolutely ridiculous there are more than 8 screws needed to change a darn air filter. On top of that, there’s two different sizes of Torx you have to use! How hard would it be to make this like every other car manufacturer? Four tabs and a simple lift-up box to drop the new filter in should be the only way to design these. Love the car, but Jesus, the maintenance is stupid.
