I love how he says the kid's playing sounds like a "Harley-Davidson." A little harsh maybe, but the simile is apt, and gets the point across. BTW -- I happen like the student's somewhat "covered" tone. Odon was asking for a bigger tone, but that can come at the expense of subtlety in expression.
What a fantastic teacher, to bring so much out of an obviously super-talented student. The bass is such a great instrument!

I think because he didn't bring his own instrument and bow, and they provided him the bow, but probably the wrong bow type
