Oh my God, thank you Ryan. My mom said to me during wedding prep "the two most important people at a wedding are the bride and the mother of the bride" 🙄
Congrats!
How did ur wedding go?
nah queen the two most important at a wedding are the bride (your lovely self) and the groom
@🖤LOVE🖤 overall it was great. Thanks!! Lots of things went wrong, but a few people have said it was the best wedding they've attended.
First and foremost I forgot to congrats Sam and Ryan on a special accomplishment we reached 100k subscribers happy to be loved by them and be apart of this journey lets get to 1M daddies on here we can do it
The guy in the first one really thought he did something slick there
Gotta love Sam and Ryan
Love this as a series. R/ malicious compliance is another good subreddit to react to
Would love to see this too!
First, I have to say this was a really fun video and I really enjoyed it! I had no idea that this sub-reddit was even a thing (although not surprising since I very rarely frequent Reddit). I gotta say, that last post really hit me and made me feel all kinds of things. I am such a picky eater that I am completely uncomfortable eating at other peoples' homes for fear of possibly offending someone.
I definitely think the person was incredibly rude for saying the meal was "missing something". There is definitely another way that could have been phrased to not come off as a prick. I wouldn't even know what to do if I put myself in that situation though. If there was something that had a flavor that just didn't sit well with my taste buds that I just couldn't force myself to eat (disclaimer, not at all saying the meal was not prepared to perfection, comment specifically relating to my own personal taste buds), but adding a little hot sauce (or other condiment of choice) would allow me to push through and eat the meal, would that be a better alternative to politely declining to eat the meal that was prepared for me (which, of course, would also be offensive to most people)? This is a question that I have struggled with for most of my life and I still don't have the answer.
But back to this person's situation...if they do this every Sunday, do they announce what dish they are preparing ahead of time? Get opinions on whether or not there is something that somebody won't eat? If the answer is no, then is it fair to have this grand expectation that everybody should eat and enjoy your meal as is, without question? Or would it be better to prepare it with an open mind and an understanding that there is a possibility that the flavor of this dish might not be well suited to someone's taste buds? I could go on and on and on with this lol! I should end my little tirade there, I'm supposed to be working and totally got distracted.
Thanks for an awesome and super fun video Sam & Ryan! 💖
It makes me feel better that there are other picky eaters out there. I don’t try to be but most food just doesn’t taste good TO ME and I HATE having dinner in other people’s homes. I’m so scared to offend someone because I can’t choke down food I don’t like. I just gag it back up. Which I understand would be incredibly rude but so would declining the meal so it’s just like a nightmare situation. My best solution right now is saying I have a stomachache which probably isn’t ideal but it’s better than the alternatives.
These AITA videos are my favorite 😂❤️
Regarding that last one, I’m autistic and as far a sensory things go, it mostly manifests via taste. And since I wasn’t diagnosed till I was 25, I’ve developed SO many issues around food. Now granted, my reaction would probably be to avoid spice, but that story dug up so many of my issues, thinking of someone trying to control what I eat. (I’ve had actual legit breakdowns when my family goes out to eat and the place we were going to go is closed, and we have to eat somewhere else).
Of course I acknowledge that I’m an outlier, but that last one was so clearly a YTA to me that I was gobsmacked to hear a differing opinion. It’s just so much a part of my being that no one should judge anyone for their food choices 🤷♀️
maybe if the bf hadnt insulted the meal beforehand i would be more understanding but as it is, its at least ESH for me. Sounded much more like power play from both of them than a genuine aversion to hot-sauce-less food or cultural disrespect.
In my opinion food culture is very prominent in Italian food, and they have pride when it comes to food, So when someone tries to tell them what the food needs it really insulting. they made food for everybody the way it was intended to me made so when someone insist the food needs something I would get made too, say I invited people and told them what I'm making if some doesn't like or know what the food is I would be open to change what I'm making, it sounded like they had planned this days ago, and she sounded open to maybe changing things this wouldn't have happened
In my opinion the guy was the asshole he should have spoken up when the dinner was being planned beforehand
I’m italian. Like Born in italy, live in italy. Yes food is important in our culture but wtf, like that dude has some problems. I too get the ick If someone adds idk mushroom in The carbonara, and it doesn’t make sense to call it carbonara, but to cause such a scene e ruin everyone’s night because you didn’t want him to eat What HE wanted is insane
But yeah both kinda suck

I'm kind of torn for the last one and I lean towards the BF being the asshole...
Getting up at someone elses house and helping yourself to their fridge without their permission is a BIG no no - I don't even do that in my moms house. The OP did offer alternatives for if it had not been spicy enough, so this wasn't a question of the food being bland, this was a question of "I want hotsauce on this!"... had OP not had hotsauce, would the brother have gotten up, gone to the store, bought hotsauce and expected everyone to wait with their dinner getting cold while he got something he could have easily subsidised or just eaten without?
I mean, just getting your coats and leaving isn't good manners either, but I wouldn't say OPs family or OP are necessarily assholes for saying "you're welcome to have chili oil if you feel like this isn't spicy enough, but what's in the fridge isn't yours to take right now"
Am I an asshole for laughing at the joke made in that first one 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
He’s an asshole for walking out like a big baby, but I thought that joke was funny…..
I disagree with the title because actually your opinions ARE solicited because the OPs are deliberately seeking them
I sided with the dad on the second one. NGL
