As company you're guaranteed to make a steady amount without having to worry about a 1500 weekly payment. Once you become comfortable and efficient at it you can switch to lease. When you do, i dont recommend starting in spring time because that is the slowest season in reefer. Starting in the summer is better and by fall and winter you are in busy season so you can set money off to the side. Money potential is higher but it really depends on the freight rate. If rates were as bad as the last 2 years, you are safer as a company driver.
That’s a fact, you have to know these things in order to make the best out of the leasing journey. It’s best to get a head start in the busy season like you said.
I’m on my last load until I complete my 50K. I didn’t go home once lol. So ima go home for about a week and then they’re gonna call me in. And you going company just like I plan too. Congrats and get them wheels turning!

That's exactly what I did. I ran company mini fleet since October. It was an old truck no good AC. I made good pay a few times but mostly I made the minimum $1250 per week. I'm starting classes Monday to go lease 😱 I'm excited to see how this will be. A new chapter in my career. I hope to get a new truck like yours. Good luck brother and drive safe!

With lease you can go home, but you will still need to make that truck payment. You can save up the truck payment in advance before you go home. That way you are not in the hole when you come back off home time. 😃

Hey Romane, first of all congrats! I know the struggles and everything you had to go through to get there, I am actually going to be upgrading in a few days as well, I will also be doing company because of the same reasons you explained in the video. I only have a few questions, when you upgrade how many classes do you have to take? And how long is the process to get your own truck? Also how was the backing simulator? Do they have you back into a dock in the simulator? How does it work?
The upgrading process was fast, took about two days as a company driver. The simulator wasn’t hard, doing it in orientation was much more stressful than doing it for upgrade. You’ll get into a truck pretty fast. I got a truck in three days.

How did you get a condo and you are a company driver? They said in the email if you don’t have an approved passenger you will be assigned a LW truck if you are company. I’m currently waiting. How did you do it?
I see a lot of company drivers who have condo. I also hardly see LW trucks. I heard with LW you can make a lot more money. But I don’t need a lot more money I need to feel at home because I don’t have no home. I might got lucky getting a condo.
Fold and Put your clothes nicely under the top bunk mattress, that way you can create more space in the truck. I wouldn’t carry a suitcase on the truck, because after you put the clothes under the top bunk mattress, it would be great if you could fold the bag and put under there as well. I made a lot of video about my tnt journey, go back to my videos and watch from tnt phase m, and in there I give a lot more gems. Good luck on tnt bro😃💪🏾

It is small.You dont even have a closet.The bed literally is to the seats.You can't really stock the truck up like you can a fullsize.I think it costed me more having to buy more out of truckstops.Congrats on almost being at 1000 subscribers money time there too !

Thank you so much,😃💪🏾 I heard if I get a lightweight truck as a company driver I will make more money. But I don’t think I want to live in a lightweight, I’m a big guy with a lot of stuff on the truck. I know I will make a bit less in the condo, but that’s a sacrifice I am willing to take.
@RomaneTheTrucker I started out in a lightweight .We got a nickle more a mile. It is small.You dont even have a closet.The bed literally is to the seats.You can't really stock the truck up like you can a fullsize.I think it costed me more having to buy more out of truckstops.Congrats on almost being at 1000 subscribers money time there too !
