Thank you! This worked great. For the handle I had to rub a few times because it was bad. I soaked the rag and wrapped it around the handle, not over the controls, and let it set a few seconds. Worked like a charm. My blow dryer actually looks newer than new! 😅
No that is the outer silicone layer that degrades after some time. This has happened on several hair tools even ones I only used 3 times in 10 years and used the hair spray in another room tontry and prevent it from happening. :)

hi, what type of alcohol was used to wipe of the sticky residue?
I just used a regular 91% Isopropyl Alcohol that you can get at a convenience store.
