Bahrens are making incredibly exciting watches. They are creeping out of my price range though, which is a shame, but they're proving to the rest of the world that Chinese watches should be taken seriously.
Not sure about servicing in US/Europe! Hear what you say about the movement and add module but honestly I’m not sure most watch repairers would touch it! Open to a different view to this
I would like your recommendation on the Apolar. How does it look in actual vs pictures and videos. How’s the finishing compared to Breitling super ocean case.
Interesting pieces of a brand that’s completely new to me. At first not really for me but it would be good to see more pieces like these in the wild instead of all the obvious models.
Yes, it just takes a little bit of courage to try something new and different. I think it makes sense once you already have a collection of classic or "obvious" pieces, then something like this can be added in the collection for fun.
Especially given what they can do for the price, yes. And I just saw this week that they're working on a Fusee Chain, which is a really high end movement architecture that is only found is crazy expensive watches. Don't know how much that will be priced at, but I'm intrigued!
That would surely be a conversation starter! I also want to contact them to see if there's an actual piece available to try on at one of their ADs here.
Well it takes time, it's a very young brand but they've already accomplished quite a bit. Just saw on IG the B027 PERILUNE prototype they're working on (to be released later this year) and that one seem so promising!
@@TOKKANTE can i get your snap or instagram to show you my problem !? A small piece inside my watch broken i tried to open the in front case I couldn’t open it I don’t know how can i open it
@@Daayer You're referring to the sapphire crystal on the front of the dial. Well, you're not supposed to open that yourself because depending on the watch (whether it's a diver, dress watch etc.), there are gaskets/seals there which you're not supposed to mess with. You also most likely do not have the proper tools to do that without damaging or potentially breaking it. There are specific tools to open a watch casebook or front for that matter. Take it to a watchmaker or a watch store where they can help. I would say: don't try this at home! My IG by the way: @tokkante
you are misleading your audience, as this brand is a Chinese brand. the company HO is in Shenzhen city China. Also, hk is part of China now. The last thing is HK doesn't have any manufactures.
So this is tricky.... Originally it's supposed to be a HK brand and I was assured by the AD that only some parts are made in China (like the crystal), however it seems to be little murkier than that as with a lot of Chinese brands indeed. The guy who manages the brand is a HK guy and he personally emailed me after the video, but you could be right that the road leads back to Shenzhen... HK does have manufactures, eg. Memorigin also used to manufacture their watches in HK (not sure if that's still the case). And yes, HK is part of China but you know very well HK culture and identity is a separate thing, hence why even the HK Government fights to preserve the "Made in Hong Kong" label at the WTO!
@@TOKKANTE I have to admit, there used to be a long history of copy cat moves from many many Chinese mainland brands, quite shameful. But today things have changed. Lots of brand from Mainland China are showing the world their creativity, Behrens is just one of them. And yes, Behrens is 100% a brand from SHEN Zhen, a high-tec metropolis of Guangdong province. For generations born in 50s-70s, productions from USA, Europa and Japan may represent quality and class, as one born in 80s, I can tell we are in the middle already, some still love western stuffs, but some started to recognize our own brands. For generation born after 90s, most of them would only buy "China Made". That`s why I don`t think HK`s local goverment would ask for HK label today.

Great video Ben, you make me wanna grab one now, especially if I can finally know what time it is on Mars at all time.
Elon Musk said we have to get ready. 2028 is coming fast. You don't wanna be the only one not knowing what time it is...
Thanks for showing those! How did you get the quoted discounts?
Super video Ben and a great little company making some funky looking watches. Like the Rotary B022 - have to check it out
Yes, I was very positively impressed by what they're doing. And there's always the Urwerk if you wish to upgrade later!

I want to order one of those watches. How can I reach out to you, it would be nice to be able to get one with the discount.
Nice coverage. Please review the Perigee 👍
Any chance you have any photos of the navigraph?

I would love to get the Mars Project One actually. Wonder if there's a way to try it on somewhere in the US...

@@TOKKANTE please do keep me posted. Looks like an awesome piece, and I’m a sucker for that Lume!

Oh thanks for watching it! My pleasure, keep up the good work, love your creativity!
That rotor looks like a Wankel engine rotor. Great watches, thnx for your vid!
Yes, I think that's what it was made in reference to, the Mazda Wankel engine!
Exactly where we had the inspiration from. Thank you
These watches look like the 30$ toy watches you buy on aliexpress lol
