I recently bought a vintage (1950’s)
ring - and I have a small collection of wedding rinds from 1850, 1864, 1930’s, etc. I’d love to see you talk about engagement rings over the past 200 years and how they’ve evolved. I have some Depression Era rings - which have marks that say they comply with regulations at the time that only allowed a very small amount of gold.
Is there anywhere you can post pictures? I would love to see them.

I love her ring!! A lot of celebrity rings strike me as gaudy and really ugly because they're just so big and flashy for the sake of showing off as opposed to making a ring that sparkles for the right reason (bigger diamonds don't always mean better ring, you know?) but Britney's is really classy and elegant and thought out while also showing off that her lover is super rich
I like it too, I hated Ariana grandes ring because it seemed the jeweler was trying to make it unique but classy but didn’t do great. Britney’s ring is gorgeous and simple despite the huge diamond lol
@@Danny-be1ex what I didn't like about Ariana's ring is that it didn't look like an engagement ring. It was really cute! But it looks like something you'd wear on any other finger to add a little sparkle to an everyday outfit. However, if she's happy with it and my future spouse doesn't get me one then that's all that matters
That is a BEAUTIFUL RING!!!! I especially LOVE the UNDERGALARY with the small Diamonds. REALLY DIFFERENT!!!! My personal choice is "Asscher Cut" or "Square". I HOPE/PRAY that Britney and her Fiance' have MANY YEARS of happiness together. Lord knows she deserves it!!!!
we recently had a show in the UK called all that glitters (think the great british bake off, but with jewellery) and i would love to see you react to it if it’s something you’re interested in because as someone who has no experience in jewellery making some of the challenges seemed a little ridiculous and unrealistic (like custom brooches in 5 hours) so i’d love your perspective on if the challenges were fair or not

This is such a good idea.
The designs of the past often are more beautiful than the present ones. Also i see all sorts of rings in mass market that simply are alloys or plated and will blacken and decay faster. It goes to the dumpster then. Its's momentary pleasure. Gold is an investment though. I for one can't wear silver because it will react with my skin very very fast ;((. Though i have seen pretty silver and white gold ones :( I've realized the price of gold will be goin' up... Maybe he should also show their net worth because if it was worn by a famous owner it will be more expensive. Also the more difficult & bead stacked, the more expensive...i work in healthcare so i can't wear any complex ring...
There should be a question of ....how should the jeweler react when people ask to recreate a celebrity's ring ;(. Oftentimes its subject to copyright....

My ring used to have claw prongs, until one snapped off 😳. Considering there were only 4 prongs, thank goodness I didn’t lose my (uninsured 🤦🏻♀️) diamond. I opted to get a halo mounting for it in a frenzied decision, unfortunately. It only has 4 prongs too and I like six. Plus it’s pretty cliché now. Live and learn…and save up to change the mounting…again. 😑

Found your channel because of these celebrity videos, but I subscribed because I love how you talk about jewelry in a way that isn't so dry. I have a lot of older jewelry given to me by family members, so I love learning about it. I have a wedding set from like the 30s (I think) from my great grandparents. I always get a little worried about wearing the set because I'd hate for anything to happen to it. I want a custom set eventually, so I can wear that more regularly.

It's a really gorgeous ring. I love the design and how it shows off the stone. I don't care for elaborate rings with halos and stuff.
It's way too big for my taste. I'm a 1 carat girl myself, but it does not look gaudy and it's really beautiful.
