Oh man Race The Sun, what a classic. I love how it progressively gets harder as you progress through regions. And the shadow/sun mechanic is satisfying.
fun map :D My line was very similar to your best time, the only difference was staying to the right of the first "black hole tunnel" for a slightly straighter line, and maybe even more boost?
I suppose you're not incorrect, I just think of roguelites as like, binding of Isaac, RoR2, Gunfire Reborn, etc. I have a difficult time associating it with a driving based game I suppose.
@@TwoFace-It's unusual to have a racing roguelite but roguelite is a game mechanics not a genre by itself. So any game with those mechanics is a roguelite.
Race the sun, now there's a blast from the past. I remember playing it when it was just a unity flash game in the browser. There were no power ups then.
"Just steal ideas, it will be fine" that's been the mantra of artists around the world for forever. You just need to steal enough ideas and mash them together until you get something somewhat original.
If you want to make another game based track, I think Color Tunnel or Color Tunnel 2 would make for a very cool map. I don't know if Color Tunnel can be played, but I think Color Tunnel 2 may be playable somewhere.
regards to the chasing sun concept since the ship in that was solar powered you should have made it so that every shadow is actually a very low power slowster
Try to build a Track where the pieces fly into sight to build itself real time while racing!!! Kind of stop motion and copying the logic for it over and over. Man. That would be another level of zeepkist expierience!
hey there really aren't enough anti grav race games any more? and you are what one heck of a map maker. lol todd... he was in fact responsible for starfield.
I like tracks like these aesthetically. It looks phenomenal & isn't the standard one road to follow type of ordeal.
love race the sun, didnt think anyone else knew about it tho, cool track!
I thought this was brilliantly done. RTS has been a favorite of mine for years. The VR version gets intense.

🎼 "here comes the sun. du du du du 🎶
That song’s stuck in my head now, thanks 😂
Cool track! Making it slightly uphill to make the boosters really count is such a great idea for this type of track
oh man i haven't thought about race the sun in forever. It's such a nice chill game.
Race to the Comments!

Cool track Twoface.
This is a track calling out for a Dapper style underground cheese route.
Especially with how the checkpoints are just massive planes across the map.
Good concept, great execution.
I don't know why I thought someone made a mod for zeepkist at the start
fun map :D

Rougelite.
The name / genre you were looking for in the beginning is Rougelite.

feels to me more like an arcade style game than rogue like tbh, despite the progression

Phenomenal track - I agree with Yannic
I'm so happy someone else knows this game it's so good
This is gorgeous.

People get angry if you automate the theft and call it "generative AI"
So, the new meta is to prevent Maki to find the optimal path by making multiple path and choices? 😅
Funny enough, maki wasnt there for the recording of this track
Cool track!
Also, go support the Race the Sun developers: Flippfly Games! They're working on an even more Starfox inspired game called Whisker Squadron.

LMAO the fact that UA-cam knows you mentioned Todd Howard and put it in the description XD
LOL no way? Did it actually?
@@TwoFace-doesn't look like you can see it on mobile, but it did on my computer haha
Be a go game developer- lie to the people- it’s what they want! 😂😂😂
Oh i remember the first game in the vid.
man, I haven't seen Race the Sun mentioned in a long while

We already spent FAR too much time on this map with the logic, neat tho
@@TwoFace- cool but unreasonable youtube comment vs sensible map maker...
i never stood a chance since i failed when i said cool :P
0.001 away from 2nd place
None Jump with left beef
Stealing from me now? I have you know I stole that from Diabler first!
Lololol #whelp
Funnily enough, I didn't even steal it, I independently developed it only to be told it was already made XD
Not the first time for that X3
