My two favorite teams it’s a damn shame they’ve never played in my lifetime as I went to every FSU home game for 3 straight years growing up and being a Georgia boy born and raised obviously I love my DAWGS
I think they could play more times if Florida state decided to leave the ACC for the SEC instead of South Carolina. They seem like a better fit than those gamecocks.
lol this was supposed to be my Very 1st Georgia Bulldog game, but i had a cousin's who's dog was killed by a hunter so he got my ticket instead ... i still hold a tiny grudge over that ... thanks for posting this
Sorry but Fabian Walker started the game and threw the first TD pass to Anquan. Anquan then threw a late TD pass to CRO Thorpe, he sub'd for Fabian thruout the game due to Fabians shoulder injury he had sufferd earlier in the season. If not for the shoulder I think he may have been a much better QB, but I think his confidence was ripped to shreds that game.
This was a tough year for FSU. It would be great to see FSU and UGA play again. Maybe we'll meet in the playoffs? First...do us Noles a favor and beat the Gators. :)
I wish we could've had Chris Rix for this game because we would have won the game. I remember watching it on TV and I'm a Noles fan. We had a decent enough squad because our defense played well that night but it was because of qb issues why we didn't have a better outcome. We probably would've won 30-26.
My pet bullfrog hamsters said Georgia cheated in that game by scoring more points. They said it's better to score the least amount of points as possible.
FSU absolutely had their backup in this game. Chris Rix was ineligible because he overslept for a final. We started the game with Fabian Washington, who was the backup QB, but he had a known torn labrum and it was apparent he couldnt throw. We had to take Anquan from WR so technically FSU was on our 3rd string QB and he wasnt even a QB.
Florida State was a clear shell of themselves in the 2000s compared to that long run of success they had in the late 80s and the 90s. I mean what happened??? Did the time pass for Bobby Bowden?? Or the players he had wasn't that good?? For Georgia why couldn't Mark Richt despite all the success he had in Athens, come away with at least one national title?? Or a appearance in the national title game??
It wasn't the players in the early 2000s for fsu. They were as talented then as they are now. It was coaching. They still put as many players in the league 01-05 as anyone in America. After that there was a talent drop off but not comparable to the record. They still had enough players 06-09 to win 10 games a year.
Allen Greene Alot gets blamed on the coaching bc we had alot of turnover. losing guys like richt and chuck amato was not easy but I also think the kids we brought in changed the culture around the program. This team was the most divided selfish team that Ive witnessed in 30 yrs watching FSU football. I enjoyed the characters on this team but they just could not get it together. Jeff Bowden was one of the biggest blunders in the history of FSU football. Bobby held on way too long but if he has a better staff around him he could of done the CEO thing better. You add guys like Urban Meyer aggressively recruiting against us and it was a bad time for seminole fans. People need to really understand just how amazing of a job Jimbo has done.
This wasn't his best team imo. The 2005 team that won the sec and the sugar bowl with Shockley at the helm was just as good. And the 2013 team that was 5 yards short of beating Bama for the sec would have likely trashed Norte Dame for the NC with Aaron Murray at QB was likely his best team. People like to rip on Mark Richt iw that he is gone. But folks should Hank him for turning around a program that was in shambles when he was hired (while ht team he took over was stacked with talent, Donnan had done nothing of note besides recruit well. Wish people would just give him the respect and thanks he deserves, and move on to supporting CKS. As appreciating FCMR doesn't mean you don't support CKS. You can and should do both. And CKS found out last year that being the lead Dawg ain't as easy as one might think. He gets a mulligan formhe 7-5 record last year. But 7-5 again will not be excusable. He needs to win the east this year, at the least. Regardless I am ready to get the season started so that we can stop worrying about this recruiting class, which is in deep trouble.
Boy, oh boy. The beginning of the end for Mark Richt. UGA had been to no bowl of consequence in almost 20 years before this, and soon enough Georgia fans started thinking we should be in the mix every year or so, when in reality Georgia's football tradition pales in comparison to Alabama, USC, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, hell FSU and other historically elite programs.
+kweli05 Makes me so sad man! I watched this game when I was just in second grade and starting watching Georgia football the year before when I was in first grade. This is all I have ever known and Mark Richt is associated with many fond memories of mine. I am truly distraught about this loss.
Joseph P Yep. He brought them back to prominence. I remember the years before him, and they were almost irrelevant. And Dooley got it done because of Herschel. With this alleged hire of Kirby Smart, we'll see if it was a good move.
+kweli05 You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Georgia is a top 10 program. Not to mention UGA has tons of money, great facilities, and the state has an incredibly deep talent pool. Georgia with the right coach can become a monster.
Dylan Martin it's my opinion dude, just like you have an opinion. so chill on the I have "no idea what i'm talking about" stuff. nobody can predict what can, would, or should have happened. it's all talk, speculation, and guesstimation. now, out of the over 100 years of uga football, they only have 2 championships. they have 1 in the current era. why would you all of a sudden think they should be winning it more regularly? it's only BECAUSE richt gave you those expectations. bowden, paterno, osborne didn't win it in their first 15 years. i don't necessarily disagree with uga's decision, but there is a good chance they will regret it.
kweli05 First off its not opinion that Georgia is a top 10 program it's a fact. Georgia also has a ton of in state talent unlike it did 20 years ago and it has far more money then it used to. Just because Georgia has a small number of national titles from the past doesn't mean it can't win multiple. That's absolutely horrible logic.
In the 2002 college football season if Georgia didn't lose to the Florida Gators in Jacksonville they'd be entering the Nokia Sugar Bowl their first appearance in 23 years with a perfect season at stake with Miami & Ohio State playing in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl for the BCS national championship Afterwards the polls both having different results Ohio State is voted number 1 while the AP vote Georgia number 1 both would be spilt national Champions
FSU didn’t have snowball chance to win this game! This could’ve been a national championship team if we didn’t lose to Florida gators. We had great teams just couldn’t get to the big one. Natty coming soon to UGA with Kirby 💯🤘🏾!
@@deserthobo8266 If Georgia didn't lose to Florida they'd be 60 minutes from a possible perfect season in some posters they be voted as national champions no matter who won the Fiesta Bowl 2 days later a split national championship the AP Top 25 would have Ohio State ranked one the coaches poll top 25 would have Georgia ranked one
My two favorite teams it’s a damn shame they’ve never played in my lifetime as I went to every FSU home game for 3 straight years growing up and being a Georgia boy born and raised obviously I love my DAWGS
Well they play in the Orange bowl
@@Its_BLST FSU was absolutely robbed of a spot Alabama and Texas do not deserve to be there
Yessss!! Number 68 is my father Darrell Holmes!!! They played they butts off this year:)!!
I started Watched Georgia Football growing up as an Auburn Fan watching Mark Richt beating Tennessee with the "Hobnail Boot" 26-24 in 2001
□◆}□♡♡ □♡♡■□.0 11 1
Coach Richt was not having it with the gatorade bath
Final Sugar Bowl on the old AstroTurf
i think this uga team was the best in the country that year
these two should play alot more, both really great teams
Go Dawgs!
Ok bae I'm bout to do it to north

Anquan Boldin is a millionaire and a super bowl champion. Look at the score in life bud.
I've always wondered what happened to the white on garnet uniforms FSU used to wear. it'd be nice for Jimbo to bring these out a few times in 2013.
lol this was supposed to be my Very 1st Georgia Bulldog game, but i had a cousin's who's dog was killed by a hunter so he got my ticket instead ... i still hold a tiny grudge over that ... thanks for posting this

Meeting in 2027 and 2028 so we got to wait a while! GO NOLES!
I think these teams could meet more often if Florida State decided to join the SEC instead of South Carolina.
i was there in person
If there was a playoff it would’ve been LSU USC GEORGIA OKLAHOMA in 2003 let that sink in.
2k19 hell fuck yeeeeeeaaah,,,FUCK bama
Dude your the only one who has this game! Good lookin' even though we lost with a 3rd string QB
Shockley should have been the starter period. He had more upside that David Greene.
True but David was better
I wish we could've had Chris Rix for this game because we would have won the game. I remember watching it on TV and I'm a Noles fan. no you wouldnt wed still wouldve beat your asses no excuse we still beat you with or without rix please give me a break
Not having Greg Jones hurt as well

I ❤ Florida State University Seminoles Football

Adrian McPherson left the school also
@@kedrickreed5600 Yeah he got kicked off the team, but i thought he would have been special. I was hyped for him.

nolessss10 Ok that's fair. It just was tough not seeing FSU not competing for national titles during that time.

This was an example of SEC Dominance
We had a 3rd string QB... come on mannnnnn
@12:36 Kirby Smart as FSU (GA) lol
Good call
I think he looked the same as a player and a coach

Yup Boomer.
We were playing our 3rd string QB. I would love to start playing UGA every year. We would dominate them! NOLES!
Whatever..
jakethemuss3 lol. FSU was better than UGA in 2013.....UGA was better than FSU in 2012
eddie robinson I am not arguing against that.
GA would kill FSU this year! and it would've been a close game last year
Ben Harper You're on rocks, you lost to 4-4 South Carolina!
1:31:45 Run your mouth!
But fsu should have been in the playoffs
