Did anyone notice that Lamar took his shades off halfway through the interview? It reflects the fact that Shay created such an atmosphere of safety and comfort that Lamar felt protected enough to completely unveil himself. Now, that's a good interviewer!
People don’t really appreciate Shay for his knowledge. His ability to drop info in a instant is amazing. Like the way as soon as someone mentions a school he starts mentioning players that went or his ability to know what game and how many yards, catches, records etc. Dude is a sports treasure and it’s highly underrated when he has total recall on the spot.
This was a fantastic interview. I don't think Shannon gets enough credit. He asked all the right questions and did it in a way that didn't make Lamar feel uncomfortable.
Yes and let’s face it. It was a difficult interview. Lots of short answers from Lamar and clearly he was not well. Shannon did well by continuing to ask questions and keep the energy up as Lamar struggled.
The reason why I love Lamar is because he's as real as they get. And not only is he real. He'll think deep and hard to give you a real honest thoughtful answer.
Exactly, and these idiots talking about he's still an addict. Like this man just said, he had multiple strokes and heart attacks, but all they talking about is what he use to do. Crazy

This episode literally brought me to tears. I feel like I’m Lamar minus basketball. One addictions spills into another & the whole time you’re thinking everything you experience during that high is normal. Power to Lamar for overcoming that 🦾
This has to be the BEST, open, candid, honest interview I've ever seen. Shannon asked all the right questions, leaving no stones unturned while Lamar gave thought to answering as truthfully as possible. Lamar giving ALL credit and praise to God is EVERYTHING! I'm so happy he's in a much better place now and continue to hope the best for Lamar. This man survived 12 strokes and 8 heart attacks and died twice in the midst of all. It's truly a miracle he's able to tell us about it. What an incredible interview, Shannon. Lamar, you're an inspiration to myself and many people! Thank you both!
