Hi Dan, really nice build. I would love to see someone make the rear doors to match with the square lines of the rear wall of the cab. What I'm saying is to square the upper rear part of the rear doors, instead of the factory angle of the wagon. It would look like much more clean and factory, and not a chopped wagon. I think you're the perfect guy to do it so. Keep up the great work.

not sure what you're asking do you mean a straight line from the sill on an angle up to the tray, instead of the half circle

I mean the "triangular" part of the rear doors windows, are not parallel to the rear wall of the cab. If you'd make that part rectangular it would look a lot better, in my opinion.

@@tbsalvado1982 yes I get you now sorry, I did think about this when I started it, only reason I didn’t is because The glass is something I don’t know how to do and expensive

@@tbsalvado1982 if I didn’t want the room in side the cab I think cuting the door just behind the main glass and getting rid of the triangle window and making the door shorter would be cool too, like between an extra cab and a double cab,

@@DCCUSTOMSANDFABRICATION Yes, the glass may be an issue and the seals may be as well. Making the door shorter can be the solution. I'm loving your build. Greetings from the other side of the world!

Exited to see some progress on this beast.
I would say carpet those areas instead of vinyl, it will help keep noise down, particularly around the wheels as those tyres are going to make some serious noise heading down the road. you can also just glue it down and will be easier to cut to shape and be easier to get a good looking finish vs vinyl.
I like the idea for the colour scheme, I would probably go black wheels or at least not white.
just keep in mind, with a black car its never going to look clean, ever. not so much on an issue with a 4x4 (or 6x6) as they are expected to be dirty, but it does suck to have it look dirty within hours of washing it and not driving anywhere.

Hey, I am going to dynamite the whole car so whatever material I decide to use will be over top of the dynamite, I agree about the black car and it not looking clean as I painted it gloss black when I built it as a wagon the first time, it looked good clean but it did look dusty very fast, I was on the fence about doing gloss black again or the Mazda candy red, the red isn’t really nice colour but it has a lot of cons, 1. Price of paint being a 3 layer candy, 2 it chips easy, 3 If i damage a panel I’d have to blend all surrounding panels which would be more expensive and more time than if I did black

@@DCCUSTOMSANDFABRICATION Yeah, I have the misfortune of both having a black car and living on the coast. so mine looks dusty before its even dry after washing it. I have just given up at this point.
it can be tricky to get vinyl to sit right on anything, you really have to put some padding in and get your cuts JUST RIGHT to get it to sit right and for something like the wheel arch, its probably to much stuffing around. you can get some pretty nice automotive carpet that is very easy to work with and would probably cut the time it takes down considerably compared to vinyl.
sure, on things up higher that are more on prominent display, put the time in for the vinyl, but don't waste the time for stuff you will barely look at.
