Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton on Three Thousand Years of Longing | Entertainment Weekly
/ ew
This is the kind of film (not movie) we usually see in an art house and we need more of them. Idris and Tilda were so good together it makes me want to cry again. It was intelligent, multilayered and profound, and I could’ve watched for another couple of hours.
I have to see it again on the big screen. It's immediately one of my favorite films and I know I am very discerning and difficult to woe!
@@rebeccatighe1505 i saw it for a 2nd time in the theater today. Well worth it.
This was crazy off shrooms
@@rebeccatighe1505 same here
Hahaha @@MuneyJordan23 I’ll need to see it on shrooms.
Magical movie about sollitude and love. Great chemistry between actors.
I love it when she said let's have our solitude together. 😭🙌
I began weeping in the ending credits and could not stop. This storytelling captured so much beauty, love, sorrow.... it will stay with me. ❤
same!
Me too
Absolutely! How profound it is doesn't hit you until the end because you're so caught up in the multilayered story & delicious visuals.
Totally agree with you.
The last scene made me cry. I felt wish same that she told him- to love and be loved. I felt sadness, longing for someone I never met, but still belong to him. ❤
Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton are legends and fantastic actors.
And they’ve both been in the MCU.
MCU has 50% Hollywood actors by now, what is your point?
They were wasted in the MCU, more like
both of them deserve oscar for this beautiful story telling. gosh i love Elba.
This was a fantastic movie! I was turned off by the trailer thinking it would be corny like Will Smith's Aladdin, but I saw this on the day all movie tickets were $3 on 9/3/22 and I was blown away. The writing for this film and Idris Elba's story telling was so captivating. It was a beautifully told story. Definitely disserving of an award. More well written movies and characters like these will most certainly bring me back to the movies. I had seen Bullet Train earlier in the day and that was just junk; wish I could get my $3 back on that one.
What a dynamic duo. I can’t wait to see this film.
PERFECT storytelling. that's it! I have seen the film already 3 times and it's in my top 3 films all times together with What Dreams May Come.
Excellent taste in movies. If you haven't already seen it you owe it to yourself to watch The Fall - 2006. Incredible storytelling, unbelievable landscapes and sets. It's fun and scary and heartfelt all together. So worth a try if you love those 2 masterpieces
@@breakneck777 Thanks!😊
Just watched this tonight & I can’t stop thinking about it
Finally, an interview with sensible questions. Well done.
One of the best films of the year.
Such a beautifully crafted film. The best storytelling I’ve seen in such a long time. Bravo x
A reluctant watch but my goodness it will be one I revisit over and over, utterly beautiful 👐
Tilda is the perfect combination of 1995 Annie Lennox and 2005 Cate Blanchette
and a little Kate Bush
No . . .she's Tilda f&*king Swinton 😎
Who knew she was British too! 😂 Answer, everyone but me! 😅
Don’t do Cate like that
Just watched it. .. speechless.. deep bow. Beautiful ❤
I thoroughly enjoyed this film, it's excellent!
What great screen chemistry they had. And such a wise, beautiful tale. This is why I watch everything Tilda Swinton is in. And if Idris Elba came out of my bottle Wishes 1-3 could be considered granted…
There are only a couple of movies I could watch over and over again, and this is one of them. I wanted more... I want to watch another film, diving deep into the Djinns world. I would love to watch a whole film taken place in his realm 😍. So much depth. I could listen to the Djinns stories for days on end.
Great movie. I loved it. Thank you. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro Brazil
these are 2 of the 3 actors that will make me go to a movie theater or even watch at home. great movie!
Just saw the movie on Amazon. Its Brilliant. Totally Splendid. It is a wonderful story.
Tilda is something else. Amazing woman.
This is a good movie. A really good movie.
what a beautiful film and story. we need more films like this.
Idris and Tilda, two very talented actors. I fell in love with this movie and i truly loved the ending❤
This film was brilliant and both Tilda and Edris were superb!
Guys i watched it this morning its noon im obsessed 😢❤
Excellent movie. These are types of movies people should go and see
Loved it! It was so beautiful. It's a great date-night movie.
The one simple principle I judge a movie from is, "did I care about the people." I cared deeply about these two. They made themselves vulnerable and accessible. Something action movies can never achieve.
Tildas a legend I see
This is a good movie, especially the actor who played Djinn 😊 ! I love how he play the Djinn
Amazing film. Fantasy never dies.
Nice interview
Tilda looks like a angel
She also played an angel in Constantine with Keanu Reeves. But quite a different angel. 😎
I found this film extremely philosophical. However, it did not grab my attention as much as I would have liked. These two were great as they played their roles…but I was not crazy about the story line.
1:22
I also wash things that I shouldn't, when'sa that genie comin'
der Schnitt bei 2:44 ist genial.
Idris too
very beautifull movie
I really enjoyed this film . Little different . One of my favorite actors these two
so good
Loved it! I 💜
This interview is so Brit 😆
Looking at the thumbnail.
Idris: I swear the sandwich was huge. Like hold it with both hands big.
Tilda: He is lying and I am not sure why.
The Fall meets A Thousand And One Nights
Tilda strange,but beautiful woman
"Something About Us"
If any one has any movie suggestions that are magnificent like this one is let me know!
Non narcissistic ears, she means. Narcissistic demons cannot change, not ever.
Fantastic movie … the trailer sadly made it seem like a kiddy , superhero type . The movie is nothing like that
Black and the whitest of white 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Orlando was a great film. The “make a wish” theme feels like hijack/subbing/grooming. I don’t enjoy or respect that vibe. Respect & compensate original creators and start honoring that they are inspiratory rather than acting as if they are only the seed planters who never tend the garden. Snubbing or blacklisting them out of greed or petty vengeance is lazy & out of integrity. Writers should be just as revered as actors/directors…if not more.
this movies is lies 🤥🤥. Song of Solomon 1:5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. 6Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me:
Tilda made her career playing jadis, former queen of charn and current ice queen of Narnia. She will forever be the queen of this gaybro's heart 🥰 I would take a fucking bullet to protect her
